Literally the best place to get bang for your buck. Their Mac salad is delicious, rice was sticky, and ribs were bomb!

Walked in to order take out, the gentlemen took my order & recommended the beef/chicken plate I got, it was 10/10. The wontons & sauce I also order were great as well!

This is a rustic vibe. Well loved and a bit worn. However the folks are really nice. I feel like a local. The food is spot on. Kaluha Pork and the Ribs were highlights. This is not a vegan or vegetarian friendly spot though It's a little out of tourist sector of town and the prices were great 15-20 pp

As someone who grew up in cali & visited very often home to wailua the loco moco mac salad & musubi beats L&L anyday of the week it very much reminds me of my auntie maes cooking & my uncle joes mac salad. If you are looking for a solid quick bite of island food this is it. Big shout out to auntie there for serving us always love seeing kanaka out on the mainland! Mahalo

My kids have been craving for rice since we haven't eating rice since we leave Los Angeles. This restaurant made them Happy and said Finally... they can eat rice lol. Big portion and affordable. And it's so yummy... I like the Kalua pork. So tender and juicy.. my kids loves the katsu chicken and ribs. They finishes 2 cup bowls of rice. That's must be good right!

Hi, my boyfriend and I got the kalua pig combo plates with Mac salad and spike poke medium size. Very disappointed with the ahi poke. There was no flavor, it tasted watered down, and the texture of the fish was very mushy.... the sad part is that I'm from the islands and this was a serious disappointment. No love or better yet, no flavor at all. It tasted as if it was thawed last minute, not marinated and just prepped in a bunch of sauce with no seasoning. I've had hula hands poke before at a wedding and that was bomb, but this one was 0 out of 10. Service was great as usual but please reach out for reimbursement, mahalo.

Well it has been a very long time since I came yo sit down and eat. Seems a lot cleaner then I remember which is great. Was able to sit down and as soon as I sat down someone came and took my order which was very quick. The service was amazing and quick. The food was good as well, huge portions for sure. Had the mix plate with the chicken katsu and the pork. I am so Glad that the pork was not dry, this had the perfect juicy flavor to it. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly, nice and crispy but not dry. I wish the Mac salad and the rice were a little bit better. The rice was mushy and the Mac salad could use a bit more seasoning, and the noodle was a bit more al dente than I would like. Overall great service and great food for sure. Will be coming back a little bit more often.

    Large Saimin

Decided to try something new -- and totally disappointed. The Large Saimin was basically a splash of broth to make a large cup of noodles not stick to themselves. As seen... I had 1 strip of a sweet pork in there. Not like the creations I have seen online. In addition, place didn't open on time due to being short staffed... so I was more than hungry... which tells you if someone who is starving isn't thrilled, it's not worth getting. Still giving 3 stars since the mini punahele plate with kalua pork is delicious! Should have stuck to what I knew Their spicy poki was fresh; however, the sauce is like mayo and sriracha bland meh and would rather go to new sagaya. Overall, worth giving the place a try if you haven't.

Flavors were clean and balanced, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. I also tried the 16oz Red Bean Matcha--it was smooth, lightly sweet, and paired perfectly with the bowl. The space gives me Hawaii poke spot vibes--spacious, clean, and organized. The two-floor layout has plenty of seating, plus private rooms for meetings or small gatherings, which is a nice bonus. Service was fast and friendly, making the grab-and-go experience seamless and enjoyable. Overall, a solid Midtown spot that's definitely worth checking out.

NOT JUST A POKE SPOT!…read more I think it would be easy to see this spot listed on Yelp and think of it as a good take out spot. And while it absolutely fits the bill for that it is so much more. Starting with the food: the bowls are delicious and fresh and easy on the stomach. Lots of options for base, protein, sauce and toppings makes it a good choice for anyone to curate exactly to their specifications. That being said if you're like me and want a little bit of everything that cost can add up quick. Overall tasted delicious and no complaints Drinks: they offer a large range of coffee and tea drinks as well as refrigerated options....anything you would find at a standard coffee shop you will find here plus some fun spins on things and shop specials! Space: now this is where I get to this business being so much more than simply a take out restaurant.... walking in you see a cute, clean space. Limited seating downstairs but you can go upstairs to a much larger seating area. I think this space would lend to being a great area to work on your computer, study, etc. Given the shops large range of coffee offerings I could see coming here and grabbing a drink and sitting in the cute space to be productive. Also a perfect place when meeting up with friends.

Want something delicious and quick? Look no further! Order on the app and pick up in 15-45 minutes…read more(depends on the time you go)! Food is prepared in a timely manner and I ordered for pick up through the app tonight! Very satisfied with the food since I was in a rush and I didn't want the drive-thru greasiness. I ran a quick errand, picked up and ate in the car-- then off i went again. Reasonable prices for generous portioned rice bowls. There are spice levels to choose from as well. They've quality ingredients that you can customize. I ordered the dynamite bop (cooked shrimp, crabmeat, masago, lettuce, green onions, corn and sauce over rice) and noodle bop (jap chae- sweet potato noodle with beef, carrot, onion, lettuce, and sauce over white rice). If you plan to eat inside, you'll need to order at the counter as there's no table service. Restaurant is clean and plenty of seating. I'll be back again... and again.

Very mediocre, okay in a pinch, not expensive…read more Usually places with various protein/rice combos have room for more customization than this place. It's not possible to get the poke without onions, or to get just carrots without cabbage (since it's a mix). And the rice didn't taste seasoned at all. The sauce was a highlight, but more would have been better. I also think they should just stick with salmon/tuna poke and eliminate the Krab- it's on the low end of imitation crab that I've eaten. Would not return.

As a Hawai'i Native, its hard to find great sushi outside of Hawai'i (other than Japan of course!),…read morebut we were craving sushi, so I turned to Yelp and we ended up at Miso Sushi. When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty small and seemed like it could fill up quickly during peak hours. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table to be cleared before we could be seated. Once we sat down, I immediately noticed how sticky everything was! The table, the menus, and even the soy sauce (or "shoyu" for all my Hawai'i people) were noticeably sticky! The booth seats were also cracked. Luckily I was wearing long jeans so it didn't bother me too much. Normally, I don't mind a little noise, but the restaurant was extremely loud. Everyone around us seemed to be talking at full volume, to the point where we could hear entire conversations from other tables. It definitely took away from the overall dining experience and vibe. As for the service, it was underwhelming. Our drinks were never refilled, not even once, and we had to go without refills for the entire meal. I also noticed some of the staff eating behind the sushi bar while they were still working, which I found a little off-putting and unprofessional. We started with the garlic edamame, which was loaded with garlic, something I personally love. Unfortunately, the edamame itself was mushy and overcooked. We also ordered a shrimp tempura roll, combination fried rice, and a bulgogi bento. The shrimp tempura roll was decent and ended up being the best dish we ordered. The bulgogi bento, was VERY sweet, a little too sweet for my preference. The salad dressing wasn't anything particularly special, and the tempura was just okay. Overall, I really wanted to love this place, especially because I'm always on the hunt for good sushi outside of Hawai'i, but unfortunately, the food and overall atmosphere didn't quite meet my expectations. There were some decent dishes, but I don't think this will be a spot we rush back to.
