amazing service! always 10/10! food is amazing and so cheap for anchorage! my go-to for lunch!

    Lunch menu

I've been to this little restaurant (through the drive through) a few times and it never fails. They have good food, good portions, and good prices. The breakfast burritos are always cooked on demand and sandwiches and side salads are fresh. Because of that, there may be a line of cars, but it's worth the wait!

Here I splurged for a $2.50 iced latte, but their 12 oz hot latte is a caffeinated bargain at $2.

Tl;dr $2 lattes and legit reindeer breakfast burritos. These are the best on-the-fly reindeer breakfast burritos I've found in Anchorage, but beware: you need to eat them over a table or ask for a large to-go container to eat over. I've definitely dropped off dry cleaning with traces of salsa from these burritos. Like life, these burritos are messy but good. The owner here is a personable entrepreneur and prepares the food from scratch. Disregard the collection of vehicles, pallets, and old appliances around the drive through. Similarly, disregard the menu's typos: while misspellings like "notella" crepes might have geeks like me furrowing our brows, the Nutella crepes are a worthwhile reward for not dwelling on misspellings and punctuation. ((Also, please don't dwell on my spelling and grammar errors in my Yelp reviews lol.)) The massive English muffin sandwiches are another breakfast standout here. The menu is surprisingly extensive for a drive through. I haven't had lunch here but love coming here for a fast, filling breakfast and the best-priced latte I've found in town.

An above average (but not excellent) latte at a lower-than-expected price. Ordering and pick-ups make for a 2-step system. Our order was taken at the first station right away and the wait to get to the window was a few minutes. We ordered a 16oz latte for $2.50 which is a bargain. It looked decent, with light froth. The taste was above average but not super yummy. As a whole, it was properly made.

Piles of junk right out front

Alright. So I'm driving by and am hungry, but don't have a lot of time. At first I wasn't even sure if the place was open until I got around the front where an open sign was visible. The amount of junk and vehicles parked everywhere is confusing. Maybe the owners store extra crap on the property because they can? Eye sores in every direction. But again, I'm hungry and pressed for time so I give it a go. After ordering my breakfast sandwich in the drive through I pull up to the window. Oh. My. Gawd. The window itself was filthy. Like they've never windexed it. Ever. Finger prints and smudges and splashes and splatters, oh my. There was a sign on the window saying closed at noon on 1/12. It's 1/14. Take the sign down already. As I waited I couldn't help but look around inside through the dirty glass. Boxes of receipts and papers in several places, literally just looked like junk everywhere with no organization, rhyme or reason. I noticed the steaming wand on the espresso machine was caked with burnt on milk because it hadn't been cleaned. I was very happy I didn't order coffee after seeing that but looking at the mess everywhere I became nervous about the conditions my food was being cooked in. The woman at the window was pleasant but after I pulled away I got a strong smell of burnt bread. Once I got to my office and opened up my croissant sandwich it was definitely burnt. I think the place has potential but it needs a serious cleaning, a ton of crap removed from the property and far better attention to detail. I would have rather waited longer for a sandwich that wasn't burnt then be rushed off with something barley edible. Mind you no one was waiting behind me. I won't go back nor would I recommend. Just gross. The lack of cleanliness is extremely off putting. I have posted pics of my burnt breakfast as well as some of the filth and hoard.

The omelette cup is not actually in a cup, great value at $6.75 and the eggs are spot on.

Amazing! Not sure why we have not eaten here before. Everything is made fresh to order. Good food takes time to cook.

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!

Nice quaint family run local restaurant. I would try the Alfredo next time assuming they make the sauce in house?

The store on Ulmerton Rd. In Largo, FL proved us correct. The store was orderly and clean and full of customers enjoying their meals. The welcoming atmosphere apparently encouraged them to find a seat and relax a while. We are creatures of habit... I always order the Italian with extra ham and no spicy ham, and a scoop of sweet peppers from the grill. My husband orders the Club, Mike's way, with extra onions and light mayo. The meal was very satisfying, but that wasn't only due to the quality ingredients. The two young men behind the counter, Ethan and Ollie were engaging and friendly, making the customers feel right at home. They knew the menu, skillfully prepared our orders, and were able to answer questions about a specialty sub, the hot ham. I am sure our experience was similar to others customers', and i hope the store owner/ manager finds a way to let her employees know how impressed we were

Unfortunate that this is the day I decided it was about time I left a review for House Of Bread…read more House of Bread is a lovely space, airy light dining room, and lots of baked goods, and artisanal-looking jarred goods. It feels very open. They have a menu on the wall, and a chalkboard with the types of bread available that day. Husband orders cheesy broccoli soup, and she tells him "it's not really cheesy broccoli soup, it's got lots of veggies in it too" ok, he says, but still orders a bowl. I choose Tuna Salad, and I select 14 grain as my bread choice - "sorry, we're out of that", so I then choose 9 grain - "sorry, we're out of that", and so I ask for marbled rye - "sorry, we're out of that too" I'm really quite surprised, as it's 12.30 like prime lunch time, and they're out of 3 breads already? Maybe cross them off your chalkboard, so you don't have to keep disappointing people. So i choose focaccia with my fingers crossed, and all was well. The order was complete at 12.36. We sit. We wait. Twiddling our fingers. By 20 minutes I'm becoming impatient, because I'm hangry, and the dining room is not that full - maybe 5 tables. As there are 4 staff working behind the counter (could be more round the back in the bakery) I think service could be faster, to dish up a bowl of premade soup, and assemble a cold tuna salad sandwich. Anyway i get my eye on the young man making sandwiches. He's not wearing gloves, is running his fingers through his hair, and touching his face. I see a sandwich that was on the top of the shelf, and it either fell, or he threw it, onto presumably a bench below, and then reach up angrily for a new bag of bread, I don't know - maybe he made it wrong, and was starting over. By 1.02, (26 minutes later) husband could take it no more and went to get a refund. This is not the review I expected to be leaving today, as I've never had service like this here before. I've never gone here before and had to choose my bread 4 times, due to them running out. I've never had to wait so long for lunch using pre-made ingredients. I don't know what was going on, but it's nothing like all the other times we've been here, and I hope it's a one off. If I go back and see the same staff, I'll just walk straight out again and avoid another experience like this one.
