Everything about my experience was divine! I live in Kodiak and was looking for a cupcake business in Anchorage that would deliver cupcakes to my friend for her Birthday. I found this place on yelp which had very good reviews and the photos looked amazing! I ordered from her website which was easy to navigate and explained her products and services clearly. She called to confirm later that day and kept in touch with me via text message to send my receipt and confirm delivery would be made the following day. Then she texted me to let me know that they were delivered and she was right on time! Although I wasn't able to taste one my friend was thoroughly delighted with her surprise delivery and said the cupcakes tasted delicious! As you can see from her attached snap chat picture. My negative review is not on the quality of the cupcakes, it's on the dishonesty of this business owner. I was quoted at $80 for one large cupcake which came with 8 standard sized cupcakes. I had asked if we could do an Oreo flavor for the large cupcake and was told no, the large would only be available in white or chocolate, but the smaller cupcakes could be any flavor. The lady informed me that if the address is on the hillside there is an extra $5 charge added to the $10 delivery fee. I was ok with it, as the address is NOT on the hillside. I gave the lady my card number over the phone and noticed this morning on my bank that I was charged $110... Alaska doesn't have a sales tax. I thought it must be some silly mix up, checked again on the website to verify prices and reached out to the owner. Her response was since I opted for a flavored cupcakes that cost an extra $10 (website says $7... again the big cupcake didn't have ANY extra flavor) and the address isn't on the hillside, but outside of their normal delivery area.. bad experience and I don't recommend doing business with divine gourmet cupcakes, especially without a formal receipt. read more

When a call was placed the day after the expected delivery date, the owner indicated she had forgotten about the order and that she wouldn't be able to fulfill until the next business day as she was already booked for the day, even though she was at fault for missing the original delivery. We were very disappointed with the lack of customer service and lack of dedication to remedy the error made. Will not use again nor recommend. read more
