We stopped by A Pie Stop earlier this year and it was such a good experience. We picked up a chocolate silk pie and I'm not exaggerating when I say we devoured it in two days, it was that good. Super rich, smooth, and just one of those desserts you keep going back for "one more bite" until it's suddenly gone. It's a family-run spot, which you can really feel when you're there. The service was friendly and welcoming, and it just has that local business charm that makes you want to support it. They've got seating inside if you want to stay, plus a drive-thru which is honestly so convenient when you just need to grab dessert and go. Such a great option if you're looking for something sweet and want to support a local family business, definitely a place I'd go back to again. read more

Disappointing service--unnecessarily hostile attitude. It is incredibly unfortunate that such a great local staple is being dragged down by poor customer service. I came in with a positive attitude, but the older gentleman behind the counter--who I later learned is the owner's uncle--was shockingly rude. After looking at the menu, I politely asked about the different sizes of pies available. He snidely snapped back, "Can't you SEE the difference?" When I looked at the display case again, there was still only one visible size on display, making his hostile response completely uncalled for. I later found out locals call this man the "Pie Nazi" (a nod to the famous Seinfeld episode), and it completely fits. The nephew who owns the shop has a great business, but he is likely losing customers due to his uncle's miserable attitude. A little basic courtesy goes a long way. read more

I'd like to reiterate that A Pie Stop, hands down, has the best pie crust ever! I ordered three pies in advance for Thanksgiving this year and they were all well loved! Dutch Apple, Strawberry Rhubarb and Pecan... all were excellent and enjoyed by all of our guests! I suggest anyone just make things easier on themselves and order pie, especially when hosting a large gathering! read more

A Pie Stop - Pie, pie, everywhere a pie! - Desserts Near Me - Anchorage, Alaska

A simply amazing place with delectable pies. I was greeted the second I walked in by a worker who asked if it was our first time there. He informed us that, unfortunately, they no longer served individual pieces of pie, but offered descriptions of the small and large pies currently in the cabinets. We ended up going with a small strawberry rhubarb pie. While the worker did say that the small pies were approximately two slices, I cut it into quarters, and a single piece was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. While I was not a fan of the exterior crust by itself, the interior of the strawberry rhubarb pie and dough was simply delectable and felt like butter melting in your mouth. If you're in the area, you definitely need to stop by and try a small pie at least. read more

Go here! The carrot cake was so good! Frosting wasn't overly sweet, it was packed with carrots, nuts, and raisins. Many other carrot cakes I've eaten have had more cake than anything else. My boyfriend got the triple berry pie and the crust was really good, the filling was perfect, a little tart and sweet but great berry flavor! Now the old man behind the counter....he was sweet and knowledgeable! Overall was a great experience. read more

Their service is above and beyond and the pie is so yummy 10/10! I got the key lime pie, and it is the best I've ever had!

Always good. Always friendly. And always fresh. Call and order as many pies are order only. Fresh pies daily: (not a complete list) key lime, cheesecake, Pastries - carrot cake & so many I can't remember read more

Tried this place for the first time... Great customer service and incredible pies!! I love the cherry and chicken pot pie for take out. The chicken pot pie can be thrown in the oven and enjoyed for a nice comfort meal. I will be coming back for sure! read more

The pies here are delicious and fresh. I've had the mixed berry and the blueberry peach crumb. The first one was warm when I bought it. The second one needed re-heating (350 for 10 minutes), but tasted great. The service is friendly. The prices are pretty reasonable. $27 for a big pie. $11 for the smaller ones. The options are pretty solid. They usually have at least 5 different flavors. I'm only at 4 stars because of the 3% surcharge for credit cards. Not okay in the year 2023 when hardly anybody uses cash anymore. Just charge me more for the pie and build this fee into your sale price. read more

Been meaning to come here for a long time but I've never gotten around to it, mainly because I'm not into sweets. So I finally came by for a quick lunch, after hearing they had savory pies. I ended up getting a Cornish pasty. My late Grandmother used to make these, and this was very well done. (similar to hers!) It was $11, not a bad price! But, I was still pretty hungry afterwards. I could've easily eaten two of them. Ambiance is very in-and-out. Maybe I'll pickup a sweet pie if someone invites me to a holiday party this season. *fingers crossed* read more

The guy that answered the phone, possibly the manager. He's an asshole. Very unprofessional. I called to order a pie 24 hours in advance as his website says to do (it was 11:00AM) and told me he can't because it was too late, no where on his website says there's a time limit and he continued to laugh and grumble to me that he has too much orders to make which were 20 pies. All he had to do was tell me kindly that he's backed up on orders. Do better dude! Your attitude STINKS. read more

Let me just say that I LOVE the concept of a "pie store" - If I see one, I go. Went in for a snack to go. Hubs ordered 2 Cornish pasties "to go" to eat on the plane - and GAH! ...when we looked at and opened they were uncooked, with heating directions on top of box...by the time these babies were near a fridge - it was too late and they were unsafe to eat. BUMMER!! Hubs said the server said they were cooked, but I don't recall either way. But there was also a "Bluebarb" pie ordered (blueberry and rhubarb) - pretty tasty, but I prefer my pies to be "juicier" this one is a firm filling (too much cornstarch or flour??) read more

Love these pies. Came in and got a Key Lime pie and Pecan pie for a special dinner and they knocked our socks off. I came in and thought there was quite a bit of good offerings at noon. I will come in sometime for the chicken pot pie since it's one of my favorite comfort foods. If I'm feeling a bit English I might even order a Cornish Pasty. I found the owner Steve to be an affable character, easy to talk to, and caring about his product. Some people think the $11 small pie too expensive, and that the Fred Meyer option is cheaper. Well sure, but you cannot compare chicken eggs to caviar. Will come again. read more

Well this place is freaking incredible! Didn't know what to expect and was blown away by what they offered. They offer full size pies and then a smaller version which i think you're supposed to share - I didn't. I went with the pecan and was beyond impressed. Cooked perfectly, lots of filling, and a very nice crust. Yea - ice cream would have been nice but then it hides the delicious, robust, rich flavor of the pie. I thought I would eat just half and save the other half for the next night but by 8 pm I was in a full sugar coma with pecan pies crumbs on my shirt and chin. Eat here often. You'll be happier. read more

Oh how I miss these small businesses. I had been on hiatus for so long and my first trip out for a treat was A Pie Stop. I've always wondered what it would be like to go through a drive through to buy a whole pie. This little establishment is located right behind the diner in the intersection. The store front looks tiny, but it's actually spacious. They host a number of different pies. Fruit pies, cream pies and savory pies. There are also other baked goods and sweets. Lining the walls of the shop are an array of Amish jams, butters, and various pickles. Today we bought a mini Dutch Apple pie and a piece of banana nut bread. Right off the bat you could tell the bread was soft and moist. Unfortunately we spotted some mold on it so we tossed it and didn't get a chance to try it. The pie however, was gorgeous! My husband said based on the pie alone it was a solid three stars. I made the mistake of leaving my husband and son to their own devices for a few hours and missed out on trying it. They pretty much inhaled it. I do plan on visiting again to try other flavors. I'm just not in a rush to go back. It was fairly expensive. It costs me less time and effort to whip up a batch of banana bread at home than to buy it here. One little piece was 5$. The mini pie was 11$. Small business though. I could buy two regular size pies from Fred Meyer for that price. If I didn't love local business I would have. If you love things baked with love, great service, and awesome selection please stop by here. It's definitely an experience. read more

First visit this week, sold out of all but 1 chicken pot pie. Steve behind the counter apologized for being sold out, I told him I think is awesome, never been here before and a tell tale sign it's gonna be good is SOLD OUT! He said he puts his heart and soul into those pies, I told him I've been craving a heart and soul pie The pie stop, heavily promoted by my good friend R.T. and this buddy has never led me wrong. Absolutely a great meal, served hot as lava, went back again today for the Mexican pot pie. Simply really good food to enjoy with a nice selection of dessert pies I have not gotten into yet, YET. Ate the food too quickly, no pics to share! read more

I bit unclean, the pies were ok, i had the personal apple pie. I've had better. Service was ok, area was on the iffy side....

I have been to A Pie Stop on several occasions. In my opinion: Best key lime pie in town! Cheesecake is delicious! They sell slices of certain pies, and you can order most pies sugar-free. With that said, do not expect good customer service from the owner. He is monotone, does not smile or greet you, stares at you blankly when you ask him a question, and seemingly could care less about your business. He spoke the bare minimum, so I had to ask various questions to get an idea of something he could have covered in one sentence no problem. If you are looking for an amazing pie for a special event, call A Pie Stop. You will be happy. If you're looking for a warm cafe to have pie with a friend, make sure the owner's not there or keep on looking. read more

I've shopped at the pie stop several times. My visit last week was the last time I will ever go to that establishment. The owner was the rudest person in business I've met. I told him I wanted one of the pies out of the display case he opened the display case to get the pie While he was getting the pie, I changed my mind for a different type of pie. He told me the time to decide what I wanted was before he opened the case. He hadn't done anything with the pie. I told him I changed my mind and he started mumbling, yada yada yada. I said I changed my mind and wanted two different pies to which he replied, yada yada yada. I told him he could keep his pies to which replied, yada yada yada. I told him that I would not be returning again. He replied, yada yada yada at which time I told him he was a jerk, and he replied, yada yada yada, and walked away. I will never set foot in that shop again. Mark O'Brien read more

This place serves the best pie I've ever eaten! A friend of mine recommended this place and it's the most delicious pie I've ever tried (the key lime) and the owner was very respectful and such a kind older gentleman. YES! So hard to find anyone who makes or sells pasties, but this place is legit. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to this amazing delicacy and this isn't quite as good as Grandma's old family recipe, but pie stop's pasty is the BEST I've ever been able to find short of grandmas. Crust is absolutely amazing (maybe even better than hers) a pie stop does an absolutely amazing job on this hard to find delicacy. read more

Ok wow, these deserts are outstanding, and the staff is accommodating and so very kind. The pies are unique in flavor and pack a meaningful punch in taste. YUM! The other pastry's aren't as much of a wow factor but holy cow! Grab yourself a little pie on a late night out and walk the street eating that thing with prowess. The whoopie Pie was a 3/5 but the pie itself was a 4.8/5. Only reason it's not a 5 is because it's VERY flavorful. read more

Incredible pies. What more could you ask for in a pie shop? Great customer service- friendly folks on our two visits while in town.

Best damn pie! Humble and modest this corner shop has the perfect foundation for great tasting pies! Made from scratch and by hand everyday; these pies aren't cheap but well worth the cost! I stopped in first thing in the morning and the owner's grandfather greeted me with a smile and held a pleasant conversation. My Strawberry Rhubarb pie was treat to be savored! My office loved it as well, thanks! P.S. Their crust is the best I've ever tasted and that's just the surface! XD read more

I consider myself a connoisseur when it cmes to savoury pies, as I'm English, and we love our savoury pies. That which Americans call pot pies, in fact. And as an english girl living in America, i really miss my savoury pies and pasties. I'd been here once before but the savoury pies and pasties were all gone - always a good sign! But we swung by today, (right after going to the gym lol) and got a roast beef pot pie, and a pasty, and took them home to have for dinner. I didn't mind the 14.00 price tag, because i believe in supporting small local businesses. They were still a little warm, however we put them in the oven to gently heat them through, and keep the integrity of the pastry nice and crumbly, mwhich microwaving would fail to do. And i must say, i was in literal pie heaven. HUGE servings, so the 14.00 for both, was a very reasonable cost. The flavour - very authentically English to my palate anyhow. The meat in the pot pie was tender and flavoursome - not fatty or gristly, as that would have been a deal breaker for me. The vegetables, oh m goodness, so fresh and delicious, and in a tasty gravy. And the pasty - I seriously felt like i was home in England, eating an authentic Cornish Pasty. The flavour, pastry, filling, and style of the crust were EXACTLY right, and i have eaten mountains of the things back at home. I know how a Cornish Pasty is meant to taste, and this is it. I am making myself want another one right now, it was that good. And as I said, they are huge, you could easily split one and have it with a side, and not feel like you missed out. All of the other sweet pies looked mighty tempting as well, but i am not a real sweet tooth person, i'd eat it, i'd enjoy it, but i don't feel i'd be the best judge of a sweet pie, whereas, I am a savoury pie afficionado. They had a good variety, so if you've been tempted, or are missing a good English style pie, then come here. I'll definitely be back. read more

Great dessert, BAD experience. My husband and son went ahead of me and purchased a whoopie pie. Been contemplating with writing a review for this place since it was just one time that I've been here. But 1st impressions are important so...I came in back in March 14th (Pie Day). The store is really cute and I have to say, nice decor. The cashier seemed really nice too. Two stars is due to the owner's behavior. When I came in, there was a lady getting her pie packaged and she seemed to be claiming a free pie voucher she won from a radio station. Just as she was about to walk out, an older gentleman folding pie boxes behind the counter looked at the ticket and said he cannot give her the pie because the voucher is no good. Something about the date of issue. The lady said she won it but the gentlemen yelled at her and told her to leave because he was not having it! The lady left shaking her head and I felt quite awkward after witnessing what just happened. I felt bad for the lady because she should not have been treated that way whatsoever. The owner was so grumpy and rude. Now about their pies, I ordered the small key lime and the chocolate cream pie. We liked both, but for the price...way too steep. It's not even a full sized pie, but rather, a mini one. When I initially asked if I could purchase just a slice, they said I can only do a 1/2 if the mini pie and not a slice from the full pie. I would have to really crave pie if I ever come back here again. read more
