I was told to stop by this little bake shop if I wanted to try this bake shop. I went there and I loved the fact that it was a small bake company. I walked in, they had a couple apple pies and I purchased one. When I got home, I tried a piece and it was an amazing! It was not very sweet or it felt like it had a lot of sugar. You can taste the apples and it was very light. They had cookies and other goodies but I only focused on the pie. The service was great and they took the time to go over the products that they offer. The bake shop it is quaint and cute. It is a good place that you can have your piece there if you don't want to share the goodness. Definitely one of the BESTEST pie that I ever had. I can't vouch for the service or anything like that, merely a couple of pastries that we received in a gift basket and let me tell you, they definitely didn't disappoint! I'm looking up the bakery, I find that they're also just up the road out here in Chugiak! That's a win too! I devoured half of a pecan bun before I could even take a picture of it... warmed up and small glass of milk was fabulous!! We also received a raspberry bun; I loved seeing the raspberry at the bottom through the clear container. As much as I love the semi-traditional pastry boxes, there is an added niceness to seeing the pastries through the clear containers. I also liked seeing the name of the pastry and ingredients on the bottom as well. There has been more than one occasion where I've been given an edible gift like this and didn't know where they got it, nor what the name of it was. I'll definitely be giving them a try for other pastries and most likely stopping by to pick up a few items for gifts! I look forward to trying more. read more

Great new little bakery in the Peter's Creek/Chugiak area! I was first introduced to this bakery this past December when they were set up outside of Revive Market. I recently saw them set up again outside of Revive, and was pleasantly surprised to find out they had opened up a bakery space! They serve frosted sugar cookies, and all types of pies. Sometimes they have specials with other types of cookies like chocolate chip. Their sugar cookies come in a variety of flavors, and they even have seasonal options. Right now for summer the seasonal options are bright fruit based frostings like blueberries & cream, orange & cream, strawberries & cream etc. with the sugar cookies they also offer customized cookies with logos or photos. You can get the customization printed directly on the cookie or placed on the packaging. Their sugar cookies all come individually packaged which is nice for covid times or to use as party favors etc. For pies they have both fruit based pies, and other more rich options like French Silk pie and chocolate kahlua cream. They offer whole pies, or by the slice. We have tried a variety of their cookies and they have all been delicious! Favorites have been maple pecan, blueberries & cream, cookies & cream, mint chocolate, caramel creme, chocolate strawberries & cream. As you can tell there have been a lot of favorites! For pies we have tried French silk with chocolate crust and chocolate kahlua cream. I must say the French silk was exceptional! We liked the kahlua pie, but it wasn't as good as French silk. The customer service has been really great when I've seen their booth at revive and at the bakery. I have a specific incident I'd like to highlight. I had preordered/prepaid for a pie for my husband's bday to be picked on a specific date. When I went to the bakery they were unexpectedly closed. The owner was out of town, and their employee had an emergency. I was pretty confused/slightly upset as I had specifically asked about pickup times so I left a VM asking about my pie. The owner got back to me right away the next day, and was profusely apologetic. She had thought my pie pick up was for Friday instead of Thursday. She delivered the pie to me and offered a refund. She was so genuine and upset about the mix up. I honestly was just happy to get my pie, but she went above and beyond. I cannot wait to continue to patron this bakery and try more of their delicious treats! read more

Recently discovered this hidden gem! Luci Mae's came highly recommended from a friend so I ordered two pies for Christmas. I got the Banana cream pie and Pecan pie. They are both, hands down, the best pies I've ever had. Every one at the Christmas table agreed. The crust is so buttery and the fillings so flavorful. While there I also discovered their cookie assortment and decided to buy a bunch and tape them to the top of Christmas gifts. They are so cute individually wrapped and they taste SO good. The cookie itself is a perfect softness and the icing on top adds a nice sweetness. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors. read more

We won a pie from our gym's Thanksgiving Day festivities. Hands down, best apple pie I've ever had. Good crust (taste & texture), delicious filling and topping. Sweet, but not overly. We'll have to make a stop into the shop to sample some other treats next time we are in the area. read more
