I Messaged her about doing a letter cake. Text back-and-forth we're pretty easy and timely. I love how the cake came out it tasted delicious. Very beautiful cake, it was so hard for me to cut into it.

4 tier vanilla cake with guava filling! Real flowers and greenery.

Great service! Very kind and helpful. I gave them an idea of what I wanted and they delivered! The cake was beautifully made and it was very sturdy on the drive to the wedding venue. We had Vaillancourt cake with guava filling and the guava was delicious! It was a huge cake for a reasonable price! Thank you Nilda's!

Large slice of chocolate cake with dulce de leche filling.

Like WOAH. The cakes here are absolutely phenomenal. The crumb is perfection and the flavor is apparent. Slices and portions are huge! It is expensive by its worth it for the quality.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Nilda's party creations. Nilda herself is so sweet. She went above and beyond to make a cake for our son who was leaving for Navy boot camp. We had an idea in mind for what we wanted and she well exceeded our expectations! Her chocolate de Leche cake is out of this world! It is the best chocolate cake we have ever had and we thought we had tasted it when living in Mississippi there is not even a comparison! The cake is so moist and light the whipped frosting she makes is so creamy with the perfect sweetness not over done. The de Leche in the center of the cake is evenly distributed all through so you get some in every bite. She has nailed her art of baking and this cake proves her talent and abilities! If your looking to celebrate someone you love with an amazing cake as well as a delicious taste stop by and meet Nilda she will not disappoint!

New Latin bakery in Anchorage. So yummy

Very cute shop with a good selection of pastries and baked goods. The man difference between this bakery and any other in town is the Latin influences. You'll find Latin desserts like flan and tres leche cake here as a staple. How delicious is that?! They also serve kaladis brothers coffee and free wifi. Definitely pay this place a visit.

As my birthday was coming around I asked around on FB where to find a Tres Leches cake. I happened to be sitting at Middle Way Café and they had some in the cooler that melted in my mouth so I immediately ordered my $55 cake from them that took 3 days and ended up Being the DRIEST cake I had ever had!! I immediately took it back and went to Nilda, how could I have gone anywhere but here, I told her my experience and she pulled a slice from the cooler, it was soaking in the leches as it should be, I took a bite, a part of each layer included and she smiled as was she watched my eyes grow and heart skip a beat as I had found the most amazing Tres Leches my mouth had ever had Nilda smiles and says "that's how I eat it, a little of each layer and can you taste the brandy..." I zoned out as she continued to tell me the other Ingredients... i remember her saying "I don't use that cheap crap" and laughing and she smiled knowing I had finally found my cake! .. how in the 5 years that they had been open had I not known of this place?! She doesn't advertise, she goes off word of mouth. This woman bakes with her soul. Blood sweat and tears go into this bakery, they hand make everything from the number on the top of the cake to spraying the design. I highly suggest going in and at least grabbing a slice to go!

Reality: The end result. $385 dollars of bs.

The quesitos are amazing, sticky and sweet. The tres leches is just enough to share for two (although you might not want to share at all) :)

It's just a cute place to vibe at and be around the community. There is a coffee shop, plant shop, juice shop and small market in the same building which makes it worth the stop. The seasonal ginger bread chia tea from the coffee shop is like Christmas in your mouth. The turkey sandwich is like thanksgiving with cranberry sauce and pecans. The sweet potato burban cupcake was actually to die for. The cake was moist with a carm filling of pecans and bourbon topped with a light cream cheese frosting. I'm never disappointed with fire island. A jem in anchorage.

The sausage was good though, and a bit salty, which might have balanced the seasoning in this item but the chunks were too few and big to be balanced. - messy egg salad sandwich: a lot of dill, heavy on the pickled flavor, and good red onion crunch. This was just ok. It looked better than it tasted, unless you're a fan of dill. Mainly got this sandwich to try their bread but the bread was an afterthought. - maple rhubarb muffin: hard pass. Can't taste the rhubarb and barely any maple. The bottom also was more burnt than anything. It seems they may have over mixed their batter, muffin didn't have a tender crumb.

I was right, as I walked in they sold the very last thing of what I wanted. But gosh am I glad- it forced me to try something new. I didnt take a picture because it was so cold out and my hands were frozen, but it was a beautiful, elongated bakery treat. It had lovely purple Ube cream and touch of oreo crumbs on top, the base was essential much like a flat cruller, but if higher quality. It was sensational! I bought my husband something that looked lower carb that had coffee cream that also enjoyed. I got my husband custom cold jasmine sugar free tea, and I got a frosty honeydew melon drink. It was a little spendy, but its nice to have a treat one on a while.

It's like a croissant baked in a waffle form, but a bit denser than a regular croissant. What really made it special was the Ube cream -- a light, buttery frosting that wasn't too sweet. Easily a 10/10 for me. I also ordered the Ube Cruffin, which had that same croissant-like texture in a muffin shape. The inside had a light cream filling, and the top was covered with the same Ube cream. It was good, but not quite as amazing as the Croffle -- 7/10. The Ham Banh Mi was tasty and filling (6/10), and the Boba Milk Tea was decent too (6/10). Oh and I got to taste their smoked salmon chowder that my friend ordered. Very good flavor, body, and richness (8/10). Everything I had was good but nothing that was as memorable as the Ube Croffle, but it wasn't cheap -- I spent a total $32 for a sandwich, drink and 2 pastries. Then again, prices in Alaska tend to be higher in general. Overall, even though I've only been once, I'd definitely come back for that Ube Croffle -- it was the real highlight!

Each tart had its own unique flavor, perfectly balanced and not too sweet, which made it way too easy to keep reaching for another. The chocolate raspberry cake was a standout--rich, moist, and layered with just the right amount of tartness from the raspberry filling. What really surprised me was how satisfying everything tasted without feeling heavy or overly sweetened--and even better, it didn't spike my blood sugar the way most desserts do. You can tell there's intention behind the ingredients and how everything is made. They also have plenty of other baked goods like cookies, brownies, and more, so there's definitely something for everyone. The staff are friendly, and the bakery itself is so cute--such a welcoming little spot that makes the experience even better. If you're looking for treats that feel a little more thoughtful but still indulgent, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

I feel like while I'm acknowledged, it's mainly with a stare. It was like this last time we came in as well. I absolutely do not like the savory rolls. I've had the ham and the reindeer sausage. Both are very small (which you don't know that because they're pre-bagged) -- they were just so oily it wasn't enjoyable. I still like the Apple fritter or whatever it was I got. It looked like a fritter but it's topped with a dollop of cream cheese frosting so maybe it's some kind of cinnamon roll. It wasn't labeled so I'm not sure. My partner ate all of his pastries but didn't comment. I like that they raise funds for the community. It's not a bad shop, but I'm very big on customer service. It's also not close so I tend to go to closer bakeries
