Trivia: How many menus can you order from? (Trick question depending on the time and day). I think the best TVs to watch are the ones above the bar. The ones along the outside wall seemed harder to watch due to the large windows and bright light seeping through. Food: Lots of options. Lots of tapas. Which makes it fun when you are there for a three-hour football game. I would call it a step up from typical bar food. I wonder if this is because they technically opened up early for the Oregon Alumni association to watch the game? Visited this awesome place downtown late on a Thursday night. Its across from Williwaw and next door to Humpys. I've been here once or twice years ago but the overall vibe felt different this visit. It's modern and clean, light and bright on the inside. I immediately noticed there was a decent amount of people in the building for a weekday. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a fantastic server/bartender who was kind, fast and efficient. He let us know that their kitchen was closed but gave us the Humpys menu and told us the food would be coming from there. We ordered the pretzels with cheese, humpys fettuccine, and their king crab nuggets. For drinks we immediately noticed the famous locally made blueberry mojito was on tap and had to get it. While we waited for our food and enjoyed our mojitos we turned around to enjoy karaoke hosted by an awesome DJ! Wow, this place is so cool it was after 11pm, how long does this place stay open?! Asia Garden definitely has competition. My spouse got on the mic twice and was given a skip the line pass by the DJ. lol The bathrooms here are very clean. Wow, this place just keeps getting better. It didn't take long for our food to arrive. Everything was hot and tasty. The pretzel sticks were perfectly soft and had just the right amount of salt. The cheese had good flavor. The fettuccine surprised me as I think it was meatless but it was packed with flavor. The noodles were close to al dente how I prefer them. I have not had Humpys in years and I feel like I've been missing out. When we left, our awesome server boxed everything up for us and even put my cheese in a cup. The pizza offers a crispier crust and is ok, but it's nothing to really rave about. The location itself is mostly a bar with pool tables. The service is primarily a bartender that often struggles to serve everyone that is there to eat, as they are primarily a bartender. However, during the day, especially during the week there are many that go there for lunch. You can get pizza by the slice and a decent salad, to be competitive with Uncle Joe's. At night Flattop Pizza can be busy with the downtown bar scene, people who get the munchies, and those who want to play pool. The bar has TVs, so it also serves as a sports bar. Flattop Pizza gets 3/5 stars for meh pizza and service. However it has a great location and good prices for what you get. read more

I've come a few times now and do like this establishment for pool and eats while downtown. A couple of times I've paid $22 for playing pool and recently paid $48, with little increase of time. Not sure if it was a price hike or what, but ouch! My friend usually gets the pizza rolls and I the hummous. I have to say I harbor an extreme dislike for black olives and do not understand why this place can't get kalamata as a side as Humpy's does around the corner. One downside to playing here are the barhoppers who come and go in waves and make playing difficult; stop playing pool at 10PM and you should be fine. Another thing to note is that the pool tab is attached to the overall bar tab. They should really keep the pool tab separate from the food and drink. Anyways, it's close to my friend's house so we come here when we want to kill time and catch up. Will come again but will watch the pool tab and time, as well as ask for kalamata olives instead of black next time I order hummous. ***Update. I stopped in on a whim for a late evening drink with a friend, I hadn't been yet and wanted to check it out. The bartender was friendly and enjoyed joking around with us. He gave us a little insight on how the place was in the summer, which I guess is packed with tourists, I'm interested in checking out the scene come tourist season for some good people watching, based on the stories he told us. All in all, they have a pretty good selection of beers and mixed drinks. I liked my evening adventure so much I came back a couple days later for lunch. Their lunch special is actually an AMAZINGLY good deal, for how much food you get! $4.50 for one massive slice of pizza with up to 5 toppings (sauce and the basic layer of cheese do NOT count towards your five)! They also have a $4.50 lunch special on their house green salad, again a pretty good size salad for the cost! I'm not holding the slow lunch service to them this time, they only had one server and it got really busy really fast. When she finally got around to us she said it was pretty unexpected lunch rush. When downtown and in the mood for pizza - and a hip atmosphere - Flattop Pizza should be at the top of your list. Upon first glance many wouldn't expect them to serve food. The settling straddles the line of a pool hall or bar, but rest assured you can grab a bite, too. While we've only been here once it's clear the 21-35 year old crowd dominates the scene. Most come dressed to impress and for drinks, TVs and pool, more so than the food. Fortunately, the food fits the mold. Pizza dominates the scene and we found it to taste better than Moose's Tooth with both of our pies. It's not amazing, but more than satisfies. And, there's plenty to choose from. We ordered the Ship Creek (which is a salmon bearing creek minutes away for those who are from out of town). It had salmon, onion and a few other toppings, but was too fishy for our liking. The Powerline Pass suited us more and was loaded with meat. Meanwhile, there's a half dozen other specialty pizzas and enough ingredients to make your own to keep everyone happy. They also have deep dish, but we didn't try it. Keep in mind, this place is owned by Humpy's and they share a kitchen, which means there's also ample appetizers to choose from. We tried the hummus, which was average, at best, and the meatballs. The meatballs weren't as good as what we had the night prior at 49 State Brewing Company, but not bad. Hands down, if you're looking for a late night bite you'll enjoy Flattop and find plenty of local booze on tap, with fair appetizers and good pizza, too. Service is average. read more

So I stopped by this wonderful location one day while I was working so we took something to go....I had heard great things about this place and one was on point! First of all the service was fantastic & the atmosphere was cool. We ordered a 1/2 & 1/2 pizza and it was just blah....kind of soggy, and not anything to go back for. We also got the "knots" they were as hard as a rock totally inedible and only three knots so again nothing to go back for. All in all they get points for service and atmosphere but zero points for the food. read more

Definitely a college bar (albeit cleaner and nicer than most), but we enjoyed the epic local pro snowboarder video they were playing on the numerous flat screens while we had beers. I lost my hat the big before at Humpy's and the bouncer at Flattop works both and remembered me and had found my hat. That saved the end of my trip, because it was our last night and I was really sad about it. We only had some seasonal amber ales, but the food the people at the bar next to us looked amazing. This place is totally roomy and a great hangout if you have a couple friends with different interests (ie numerous pool tables and shuffle board). On the main strip, this bar is in the thick of things, right between Sub Zero Bistro and Humpy's). If you are having a night out on the town, you should really stop in here. read more
