26 May 2015 - I needed to ship some glassware back to Kansas City. Originally, I was told that they would be unable to pack and ship, and that I would have to pack it myself prior to bringing it in. On my way out, an employee (who I later learned was the owner, Aaron) asked if I was satisfied and then followed me outside to find out why I wasn't. Well, as it turns out, they were able to pack and ship my items, and Aaron made sure that everything was packed perfectly and professionally. I'd highly recommend Box Zone! I will definitely be using their services in the future! UPDATE: 20 Jun 2016 - I was in southern CA and needed to ship some some beer home. Aaron remembered me from over a year ago, and I was able to leave my beer there, and the BoxZone guys packed and shipped it for me. WOW!!! I wish I knew this place existed months ago! I had been buying all my boxes and packing supplies at Walmart then I heard about The Box Zone. I had no idea that there would be such a quality of difference of boxes, tape, bubble wrap etc. The Box Zone had EVERYTHING imaginable to pack up my father's home to move him from Orange CA to Erie PA. The employee, Andrew, was beyond helpful and showed me what to buy to ensure a great packing job. He even offered to carry all my items to my car! The folks at The Box Zone have been very helpful over the last several days to the point of ordering boxes for me and picking them up from another store for me as well. Service has been great and the boxes are of excellent quality. We have a number of Uhaul dishpak boxes and then bought a number from The Box Zone. The ones from the box zone were much better. The Uhaul handles crumbled when the boxes were full but the ones from the Box Zone have done great! Will keep coming back! read more

I had a very large item with peculiar dimensions that I needed a box for. First I went to Fed Ex. They couldn't accommodate my item (I can't say what it is because it's a Christms present!) and suggested that I go to The Box Zone, so I drove there. I noticed wrapped boxes on the shelf, so, not only did they have a box to fit, they wrapped it for me as well, at a very reasonable price. I want to commend their employee as well. I was able to leave my package and he boxed it up and wrapped it beautifully. His name is Brandon, and i assure you that his customer service is impeccable. I'll definitely go back, but I'm still not telling what the present is! I'm back again- almost eight months later. I keep going back to this same store for boxes, for packing, for packaging, for shipping. You name it, if your item needs to go from point a to point b, The Box Zone is the best place to go to get it done. read more

* BEWARE IF YOU WRITE A BAD REVIEW THE OWNER WILL ATTACK YOU ON YELP* I'd like to amend my review based on this inaccurate comment left by the owner. First off, the customer is always right and I think it's hilarious the owner would attack me on Yelp instead of understanding that mishaps tend to happen and sometimes you have to bite the bullet about a bad review. Second, why would I just make up some elaborate malicious story about a box store, especially when the owner wasn't even at the store, how would he know? Also, he is correct, my mom did have to go and ship the items. Why you ask? Because after I had dropped these items off initially I was on a plane to NYC so when they screwed up, my mom had to go correct the problem in my absence, if I didn't have family their to take care of the issue who knows what would've happened to my possessions. The second time she went back was because she wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but decided to leave after having difficulty with the staff. I will say the guy that helped me was friendly but just because you're a nice guy doesn't mean you're good at your job. With all this being said I'm flattered that the owner took the time to look up my order and divulge my transaction on Yelp for all to see, what a professional. I hope someday I will be as smart as him and open a box store and piss my life away. And to my original review below, enjoy. Only come here to purchase a box and then get out. I made the mistake of letting them ship a couple items that cost a couple thousand dollars. When I walked in the guy at the counter was hanging out with his girlfriend. I put my items down on the side of the counter for him to take to get packaged and left my shipping labels. I had to come back an hour later because I forgot something in the package and my items were still sitting in the same place where anyone could've come into the store and taken them. I was assured my items would be shipped out the next day. The items don't get shipped the next day. I call to see what happened, apparently they lost my shipping labels and I had to go back and give them new ones....once I did that it was another 2 days before they sent it out. So I'm writing to update my review. I stand by the poor review, and later interactions with the owner of this business will keep me from returning here. So here's what happened... My first visit to The Box Zone was frustrating because no one was there to open when at the time they were supposed to open. So I left the review with one star. When I did, I found several other reviews around that time that said the same thing. Then I returned to the business later that afternoon, the "Manager" on duty said that he was late because the owner scheduled several deliveries for him to do before opening, and they were scheduled 30 minutes before the store was scheduled to open, and he wasn't sure why they kept doing that because he's never able to make it to the store on time to open. So then I actually felt bad for the guy. Regardless, I didn't change my review because 1) it was still valid - they were not open when they said they would be, and 2) it wasn't worth the hassle. Fast forward several weeks later... I was contacted by the owner, and he asked me to edit my review because there had been some sort of emergency. I already knew the real story, so I ignored his request and made a second mental note not to return to this place. Fast forward a couple more weeks... I received a very aggressive email from the owner demanding that I update my review and providing yet another excuse for what happened. Then he gave me this line about being an American small business, and don't I want to help the little guy. What a crock! He was just trying to say or do whatever he could to get me to change my review, then got pissed when I wouldn't. Frankly, it was obvious that this guy isn't taking responsibility for his decisions, blames others for his mistakes and then yells at customers when they won't lie and say his business is great. Plus he's a big fat liar. So, if you're planning on going here... just know what kind of business you are supporting. And also know if you plan on reviewing this business, the owner will attack. Background story: I'm an entrepreneur who is just starting an ecommerce business selling apparel and I needed supplies; I needed boxes, tissue paper, poly bags, etc. I spoke with other business owners and asked who their suppliers were. Uline seems to be a huge company that everyone goes to for their shipping supplies. Uline is pretty cheap but shipping can make things very expensive for a small business. In the end, i thought it would be better if I found some place local. The Box Zone: Not to far from Chapman University (where my gf goes to school, which you've seen pictures if you are following my blog), The Box Zone is a small shipping store that carries loads of supplies from tape to boxes to poly bags to styro to gift boxes.....etc. Why: When I found their website online, they have a nice little youtube video with the owner talking about his business. He seems like a customer oriented man who claims that he'll beat anyone's advertised prices. I figure this would be a great place to go since I had a Uline catalog with me and I assume he'll beat whatever prices are in my catalog. Well, it turns out, they didn't have exactly what I wanted, but the employees there are extremely helpful and patient. He walked me through tons of alternative options they had in stock and gave me good pricing. I left with everything I needed for my business, satisfied with the prices, and grateful for the quality customer service. He even put the boxes in my car for me. :) read more

In my previous review, I gave them -1 star because customer service wasn't very helpful and a little disrespectful. Now I'm changing that to -3 stars for same reason. My first time there I was insured that boxes can be returned and they also buy boxes. This made me more confident for buying from them, because I knew at least if it didn't work out, I could get my money back. When you actually try to return/sell something, completely different story. It's REALLY hard to do so. I tried to return a few boxes I didn't use and sell some I found. First off, they wouldn't let me sell the ones I found due to the fact "they don't sell those type of boxes in the store," even though I found the exact same size and look in the store. What's even worse is when I tried to return the few boxes I didn't use, they claimed they ALSO didn't sell them (even though I had a receipt to prove I bought it there!) Even after I proved to them they were the EXACT same box that they sold, they made a fuss about how it was "used" (because I had to fold the box to show them they were the exact same) They finally consented to allowing me to return my boxes. Seriously, NOT worth the hassle for return/sell. UPDATE ON 06.01.2014: I've taken the advice of some of the other reviewers here and tried out Papermart for boxes instead. Yes, Papermart charges restocking fees for returns, but they're considerably cheaper than Box Zone and it's nothing compared to the hour you have to spend convincing Box Zone to take a return anyway (to Box Zone's reponse to my review - seriously? Did you not ACTUALLY read my review? The only way I "used" the box was because I had to FOLD IT IN PERSON IN FRONT OF YOU TO PROVE IT WAS THE SAME EXACT BOX. That's not "using" the box nor is it "miscommunication.") I've since restarted my online business and done all of my packaging purchases all at Papermart, who has been absolutely great. The only downside to them would be that they sell in bulk, so I guess the ONLY use for Box Zone is if you wanted to buy just a few of a special type of box. I think that at first, like a lot of the reviewers here, I was completely wowed by the choices and the selections because I had never seen anything like it, but now that I've found other alternatives, Box Zone becomes more and more unattractive. I'm changing this review to 1 star since it's almost completely worthless to come here now, and coupled with the bad service for returns/selling, I'm pretty much never coming back anyways, No longer box heaven. read more

I am here frequently for our business shipping purchases. The staff is wonderfully helpful! Never any issues on my visits-I've actually been there before when another customer is trying to dispute the shipping charges and I deal with this same issue with people on ebay-you cannot choose shipping charges, they are what they are (had to vent there for a second). Seriously the best place, with the best workers, and the best prices. My boyfriend and I each owns a small business and we do a lot of shipping. He raved about this place and I didn't understand his infatuation until one day he took me in there with him. I asked if they happened to sell printer paper and the manager (?) said no. He then said, well wait, let me see how much we Pay for a packet of paper (that they use for their business.) He did all the math and was like okay, you can buy some of our paper. Haha! How amazing is that? Saved us a trip to Office Depot. Then on my next trip in, I didn't spend enough money for their $10 debit minimum and they let it slide. I noted it for next time and promised I wouldn't do it again. Well I went back last week and I intentionally grabbed over 10 items, and because of their wicked prices, I still didn't meet the minimum, and they let it slide again! Which, I must admit, I feel bad for, but it just shows how amazing their customer service is and they value their return customers (and any customer for that matter.) Was in last weekend to ship a custom bass guitar and was very nervous about the packing/shipping, etc. The guy there that helped me was extremely helpful and assured me that he would tend to it himself and get it double-boxed and padded properly to ship UPS. I nervously trusted him with the task and left the guitar at the store. The buyer just received the delivery and left me glowing feedback on how it was the most well-packed instrument he had ever received and about how much care had obviously gone into the packing and shipping. We have been here more than one time and absolutely think that the staff are great to work with - helpful and very nice! Prices are great too. They have an amazing assortment. We've NEVER had anything but professional staff members and the owner, Aaron is a really great guy! I had an usual request, I am from Florida and needed someone local in Orange to go pick up some items I have purchased on eBay and the seller not willing to ship. I decided to call The Box Zone as they where located within the pick up location. I was helped by Andrew, I explained him my needs and although they only do boxing and shipping, they promptly went the extra mile by getting in contact with the seller and going for pick up. Fortunately, at the last minute the seller decided to deliver it at their store. I had a stellar service at The Box Zone, they have a very helpful team there, and the boxes are already on the way to Miami now.
