Thanks to Amazon returns, I've been coming here quite frequently. I kind of feel that because the Amazon return line is usually longer than the regular line! A few months ago, they finally created a separate line for Amazon returns, which is nice for the occasional time I actually do want to buy something. Staples is not inexpensive, and I could probably find things on Amazon for less, but you pay for the convenience of being to able to actually see what you're buying. I purchased my last few chair mats here, as well as my printer paper, which I usually have delivered so I don't have to carry it or load it into my car. Their text message deals are actually pretty good if you pay attention. The people who work there are nice enough, though one guy swore they didn't make what I was looking for, even though I had bought one there years ago. I visited the store to return an Amazon package and waited in the designated Amazon return line for approximately 30 minutes. During that entire time, the return line barely moved while every customer who entered the purchase line was consistently served before those of us waiting to make returns. As both the purchase and return lines continued to grow, I asked the cashier if additional assistance could be called because it was clear that one employee could not keep up with the volume of customers. She informed me that she was the only employee available. While I understand that staffing shortages can happen and I appreciate that she was doing the best she could under the circumstances, the current system is clearly inefficient and unfair. After waiting for 30 minutes with no meaningful progress in the return line, I ultimately had no choice but to leave the store without even being able to return my package. It was extremely frustrating to spend that much time waiting only to walk away without accomplishing the reason I came to the store. Customers who have already been waiting in the Amazon return line should not continually lose priority to newly arriving customers in the purchase line. The current process results in excessive wait times for returns and creates a poor customer experience. I encourage Staples to review how this location manages checkout and Amazon returns. Whether that means scheduling additional staff during busy periods, providing dedicated coverage for Amazon returns when possible, or implementing a fairer queue management system, the current process is not working. read more

I honestly don't know why this store is still in business. It's SURELY not due to the customer service!! I stood in line for 5 minutes waiting for someone to help me, 3 staff at the desk...NOT ONE of them turned around. I also waited for someone to help me in the ink department...NO ONE showed up. I'm almost 100% sure if it wasn't for shipping or the Party City departments, this location would have closed a long time ago. MANAGEMENT NEEDS to train customer service 1000000000 x's better. Don't do your Amazon returns at this location. Waiting in a long line specifically for Amazon returns and one cashier who's prioritizing all Staples customers first as they walk up to the line. I have never experienced such horrible service as I have at this store. I came in to do an Amazon return and not knowing where to go. The gentleman at the counter gave me an attitude to say follow the signs like I'm supposed to know to look down on the floor. If you hate your job so much, quit! This is suppose to be a customer service job which you are suppose to help people. As I waited in line another lady walked out of the store because she was also treated badly. Did not have a pleasant experience here. Effort appears to be an area where one of the associates Amy needs to improve. Don't want to go into details but when asking where to find a certain product that was already a struggle to find, it would be nice to receive more than just "that would be in the other side of the store." Either 1. walk the customer over to it or 2. describe the exact aisle or area If having to walk a customer to the other side of a store is expecting too much, even more would be expecting a customer to keep walking around that half to find it themselves. This weekend, we walked into Staples to get some balloons at their Party City center. Sparrow heads up the Party City section and she was so helpful and kind to us as we picked out a balloon combination. She kept us engaged in conversation as she quickly blew up our (many) balloons! She explained so many things to my daughter (11), answering her endless questions about balloons and helium. We look forward to working with Sparrow again the next time with need balloons. Even though we COULD have ordered ahead to just pick up a balloon order, I know my daughter really enjoyed the extra time hanging out there while we waited for our balloon order. I think most people who come here will be emotionally charged with the service and organization of everything. I think what's important is not adding services like Amazon, ups, etc. but building a foundation of good quality customer service. Then we can be able to handle the added services well without eventually closing down the store. read more

We love coming here for all of our office supply needs etc. My recent store purchase was an online one. I bought a HP printer online and it was ready to pick up within an hour. I just clicked on a link saying I'm on my way. I got to the store and got in line. A nice young man helped me. He asked for my ID to verify that I'm the correct pickup person for the item. Then I was off and on my way! Staff is always nice and helpful here. You definitely get what you pay for-quality items. read more

They only allow 10 return items per visit, which is fine. But you can't go back in line to finish your returns, you have to come a different day. This policy is only for this store, it is not a Staples policy. I couldn't return 11 children's books that were all on the same QR code. I had a fantastic experience at Staples today. I stopped by because I accidentally left my laptop charger at home and didn't want to drive 45 minutes to go get it; Alfredo noticed I seemed uncertain and came over to help, asking if I needed assistance and pointing me in the right direction. He even took the charger out of the packaging to double-check that it would work with my computer. It was incredibly refreshing to walk into a store and have someone be proactive, ask if you need help, and make the process quick, getting me in and out in no time, with Alfredo's friendliness making the experience even better. I'm definitely planning to come back to this Staples because I know I can rely on getting genuine, helpful service when I visit, and if you're ever in a pinch, look for Alfredo--he's a standout. Went to Staples today to look at the new party city inside and ask about ordering balloons for me daughters birthday. Mike was the first person to great me, he was very nice and helpful in helping me make my selection. However when I went to check out I accidentally got in the Amazon line. I have always had a great experience at this Staples. They are a large store with a wide selection. Prices can be a little cheaper online but they will always honor that price to match it in store. I came here for some helium balloons. It was very unclear that you had to first pick out your balloons and then purchase them at the front cashier. I waited for a few minutes at the party city station for someone to come and tell me just that. After I picked out my balloons, I checked out, and then waited five minutes for someone to finally come over to the party city area to begin working on my order. The guy that was helping me seem to be all over the place... He was helping other customers, and it seems like they were short staffed as there was always align quickly forming for the front cashier, and the guy that was supposed to be blowing up my helium balloons again kept getting interrupted and helping other customers which delayed my balloon helium process. It took a total of about 40 minutes for me since I walked in the doors to get 10 helium balloons. I feel like they need to improve on their efficiency and have dedicated person in the party city area that is quick and efficient with blowing up balloons. I also think they could use a sign at the party city station that says if you want helium in your balloons, pick out your balloons first purchase them at the front cashier and then come back and someone will assist you with popping them up with helium. So much of my time was wasted waiting around and could have been avoided with appropriate signage and appropriate staffing. read more

This staples is horrible customer service!!! I go to other staples and they always help me print colored stuff and help me resize it. I don't know how to resize items I need and that's why I go to staples. If I knew how to do it, I would just do it myself! Other staples has never given me an issue till today. The person working today, literally wasted 15 minutes of my time. I explained I needed to print color but different size and he told me to print it myself over there. So I tried to do it but there was no option for resizing. I tried to ask for help but he was with a customer. 5-6 People were waiting behind me and I felt rushed. So I printed one and it was incorrect. It's 4:40 and he says he can't help me till 6pm? You're kidding me. That's over an HOUR. There's other employees just standing there doing nothing. I'm not sure if they know how to work the printing items but he didn't even let me know if he's by himself or why it would take so long. If you communicated with me that it would take long "because...." I would be more emphatic towards the situation. Just saying "I can't help you till 6pm." Doesn't make a customer feel good. If you want people not to be angry/frustrated, let them know you're by yourself, backed up or not enough employees and it will make the customer feel for you. I'm never coming back here. read more

Chris is not a kind or helpful customer service associate. I was trying to make a print out and he rudely said that it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I asked him if he could show me how to do it myself on the computer and instead he started directing another person from the copy machine to a computer, not even engaging in what I had just asked. I let him know that someone had helped me earlier that morning and had printed it out so fast and easily. He then replied, in an irritated tone, saying that he couldn't get to what I need and that he has other projects. So I asked him if he could help me at all and he rudely and unhelpfully said "no not today" So I walked out. A rude person like Chris should not be working in the customer support service! if you have to much to handle ask for help from another associate Chris. With an attitude like that, he should be working at McDonalds. They have machines taking people order there now. No human interaction needed. Chris if I was your manager I would either fired you or send you back to training for a week. Hopefully you improve. read more
