I have been a client of Scooters for over 20 years. During most of that time, service was great. However, I have noticed that the times I have been there over the last year or so, the service has been seriously lacking. I have heard that the original owners sold the store recently, and I believe that may be why. At almost every visit, I am ignored and there is no effort to acknowledge my presence. I understand when people get busy, but a simple "Hi, I'll be with you soon" is normal. Instead, it is if I am invisible. I waited 10 minutes today for the simple act of getting my mail (I did not have my key with me) and the 3 people at the counter ignored me as they went about their business. There are dozens of places in Tustin for me to ship my packages. The only reason I will continue to keep my mail delivery there is because after 20 + years, it would be too difficult to inform all of my vendors, clients, etc. of a new address. So I will arrive to pick up my mail in my box and nothing more. No greeting card purchases or shipping services as I have done in the past. I will obtain those at a place that appreciates my business and greets me with a smile. I predict that the new Owner will have lost many of the original customers within the next 5 years. Perhaps a learning experience for this young lad. read more

Running errands, especially anything involving mailing, is a huge pain in Glendale, so I wait until I visit her to do those types of errands. A few years ago, she introduced me to her favorite local shipping spot, Scooters and I have never looked back. Friendly, helpful staff and rarely a wait. I recently had a couple of international packages to mail and they were so helpful with repackaging and showing me various shipping options so that I didn't go broke mailing it! They do have wonderful service. For the most part. It's really nice to just give what you need to send and they'll pack it, tape it, and send it off. No extra charge!! The bad thing, is that they can be REALLY moody. Usually when I have something to drop off for UPS, with a return label already affixed and postage paid, they'll let me interrupt for a brief second and tell them that this is for pick-up. Today though, I got a snap of "You really need to wait!!" without letting me finish my sentence. Albeit, I guess I was in the wrong this time, but I have never been spoken so rudely as a customer. After a few moments of waiting, the UPS guy came in and asked for packages. The other lady replied "We do have packages, but you really need to wait. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE." And although this happened a few years ago, that same lady was the one that I paid to deliver my package, of which I received at the front door of my home the next week, returned to sender because of no postage. I returned, angrily, saying that I had already paid and that she should really watch what she's doing. It was a huge mistake. After a year or so, I have meant to forgive them, but today certainly did not help. read more

I am SO pleased with my experience getting signatures notarized at Scooter's. As I inched in with my frail parents (both in their 80's), Mark saw us coming and went to get a folding chair for my mother, who could not have reached one of their normal counter stools. He was so friendly, patient, and clear with his instructions. He offered up some thoughts based on the paperwork we were having notarized without pressing his opinions on us. Very very bad experience here, two weeks ago I had a prepaid package for UPS drop off, when I was there and waiting on the line, a lady who was working there asked me for my prepaid package and put it in the counter. I thought it was prepaid package and just give it to her. However, after one week later, I checked it didn't have any movement, it got lost. I went there and asked that lady, she said she was not working there, she is working in the front gift shop. I just asked her, so why are you here and asked the customer for taking their package? She had no answer. Recommend everybody is going to UPS store for drop off, if the package get lost, no matter how much it is, you get nothing. read more

Super friendly people working here but warning they don't wear masks...it's like a mini super spreader party since there are so many people coming in and out of this place. I had to come to this store twice in the past week and in both cases, I saw over half the employees not wearing masks. One lady working in the mail shop only wears a plastic face shield (this does absolutely nothing to trap aerosols from her nose/mouth) and the man in the same area wears his face mask below his nose. Both times I came in, the lady operating the store was not wearing a mask. There was also a man handling boxes who had no mask on. This place has a low ceilings and little ventilation. We just got through the December surge and now the April surge is coming. Why can't people just look out for one another and do the right thing, especially since they are in contact with so many different people though out the day? read more
