Staff is friendly and very helpful. Came here for passport photos and TSA-precheck and never ran into issues. They help you out with questions and make sure you fill out things correctly. We did walkins for passport photos and was in and out within like 10-15 minutes (depending on how many people they're helping before you get there). For TSA pre-check we were going to do a walk-in due to the site having issues but noticed they didn't do walk-ins but the guy working that day said he can probably help us out. He went as far as check the site to see if it was down and we got lucky that it wasn't! We filled out the application on our phone and immediately got helped afterwards. I needed a Chinese visa and the photos that you need for that are quite specialized and a smaller/different size than a regular passport photo. I had heard that PostalAnnex specialized in multiple sizes passport and visa photos (Postal Annex came recommended to me for Chinese Visas - you can even pay them to fill out and submit the application for you! But I opted to do it myself but I still needed the photo). I called just to make sure and they told me they indeed do passport and visa photos (including for China) and when I asked if I needed to make an appointment - they said "no you can just show up anytime during opening hours but it's good to come at least 15 minutes before closing because the whole process takes about 15 minutes) When I showed up there was plenty of parking (it is located on the intersection of Culver and Irvine Center Drive in the main shopping center across from the McDonalds. There was also a sign on the window advertising that they do photos and the Chinese Visas so that was a good sign. The man who took my photo was very nice and knowledgeable - I liked that he seemed very experienced and had done a ton of these before. I also liked how he showed me my photo to make sure I liked it for final approval before he just printed it. You give them your email address for the digital copy and then you also get 2 printed photos for $24.99 which came to about $26 after tax. I just waited in the store (they have 3 chairs you can wait in and have a fridge with drinks to purchase too - or you can walk around the center while you wait). The woman Amrit who works there was also very reassuring and friendly and super helpful as was the man (whose name I didn't get). I chose this location because the other Postal Annex has received some negative Yelp reviews for unfriendly service but at this location (15333 Culver Dr) the service was OUTSTANDING and I will be coming here for all my future passport and visa photo needs! I can only give a review based on my interaction with the short caucasian girl. She had a grumpy demeanor from start to finish. When asking her about passport requirements she gave me the wrong information not once, but twice. Alarmingly, she needs to be educated on geography; for example, Germany is not part of the UK. If she is not interested in learning geography the passport rules, she should stick with something simpler like selling stamps. read more

I've been to Postal Annex for both notary services and my baby's passport, and each visit has been a great experience. During separate occasions, the staff provided excellent service. For the notary, they were careful and detail-oriented. When it came to my baby's passport photo, they initially suggested taking the photo at home since it can be easier for babies. However, when I arrived, they were more than willing to try taking the photo there--and my baby did just fine. The photo was printed within about ten minutes and it cost $18.31 for two copies of 2x2. This price is reasonable compared to other places. The staff member who helped us was very kind and patient with both me and my baby. I also noticed they assist with TSA PreCheck processing, which is super convenient. The location is clean, the staff are helpful, and I highly recommend Postal Annex for notary services, passports, and shipping needs. read more

One stop shop! 5stars! We were looking for a rushed not overcharged Apostille service and luckily we found Postal Annex. They were a one stop shop! We had to do Notary as well, and they also took care of sending our package abroad. Supposedly, we needed to go back next day for pick up of the Apostilled docs (we were there way past the cutoff time) and mail it and they offered to do it for us. Their pricing is way reasonable too, the apostilled docs costs way less than other competitors. They definitely got our trust and will use them again in the future! read more

Unfortunately, I recently dropped off a package here that was lost, and the experience has been disappointing. What really bothers me isn't just the lost package, but the lack of responsibility or assistance from the owner. The only response I got was essentially, "We're not responsible," with no effort to help track it down or offer any support. Came in on my lunch break and took a passport photo and it was extremely quick, only about 5min wait. Price was $16 with tax which is roughly the same as any other place. Came back on a Saturday and was able to smoothly renew my passport. Total cost is about $152 ($140 for passport renewal + passport card, $12 shipping) which is about the same if you go to the post office and way cheaper than going to fedex. I've visited this particular PostalAnnex a few times in the last few years whenever I'm in the area. It's actually a pretty large Postal Annex in terms of space, though the actual customer area is small. I've never seen more than two people working at any time, so you may have a wait depending on the other customer requests. I've never had any issues with any service, and they are pretty quick on creating the tracking number and labels for packages. I would recommend having everything be boxed up and ready to be shipped before coming here. Postal annexes in general are always going to be more expensive than the regular USPS. If you need to drop off a package that has a USPS, UPS or FedEx label already on it, then you're good to go, as they will accept those packages. Make sure to request a receipt of package acceptance for your records. Will probably continue using this particular PostalAnnex. Also, lots of good food and snacks in the area, so it's a nice spot to grab something to eat. read more
