Sat at the bar solo - great food, attentive bartender. It's a fun vibe with a variety crowd.

The beachcomber located right on Cahoon hollow beach was perfect place to grab some food and drinks after spending time on the beach! Thankfully the restaurant is dog friendly. Which was great for us , however the dog friendly area is limited to standing area only . Note the restaurant does get pretty busy ! The beach itself is beautiful however the beach view is limited from the restaurant ( unless it on the outdoor bar area .. which can also get crowded too ) I ordered the garden salad with chicken and balsamic vinaigrette! The salad was made with fresh ingredients , chicken was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed my meal ! The salad was large and filling ! They also offer a variety of seafood options which I heard were amazing so I will be back to try more dishes.

Such a fun spot and the food is always great, also great drinks! Def grab a hoodie when you're there!

Outdoor seating - preferably at the bar - is the way to go. Listening to reggae music in my beach cover-up with sun-kissed skin, sipping on a delicious painkiller, is a terrific way to spend a summer evening on the Cape. My fish taco was just okay. There could have been more fish and instead of a crema, it was served with tartar sauce. Our server was prompt and friendly, and the vibes were sweet. A great date-night all in all.

A must-visit in the area, The Beachcomber is a very fun, laid back beachfront restaurant with a few choice items that I loved. First off, I may have had my favorite cocktail here recently, the Cruzan Confusion (many humorous cocktail names!) consisting of coconut rum, mango rum, and pineapple juice. What's a more perfect summer beverage than that? I also had the best form of mussels I've ever had in the form of an appetizer, being garlicy and dipped in butter. The cod fish sandwich and fried clam roll I had on my second visit were both great, and the menu is expectedly filled with great seafood choices and a fun, seafaring atmosphere throughout. It's a party here, so bring the family and have an awesome night! There's also a full merch table section with some fun shirts and sweatshirts, as well as two bars, one inside and one outside with a view of the ocean on the horizon.

You don't come here for the food, you come here for the experience and because it's the closest restaurant near the beach. Dishes are not fussy and served on paper plates while you try not to elbow your neighbors sitting besides you in plastic chairs but who cares? The food is tasty, the portions are large and the ocean decor is on full display while you enjoy your scallops, fried oysters and calamari. My only complaint is that so many of the dishes are fried. It would have been great to see more things like the seared scallops which were delicious and fresh. I also tried their house root beer which tasted like bottled A&W. Come here for the experience and to say you dined at the Beachcomber! It's a busy and fun experience although the food won't be anything special.

This place is so cool. A cape cod must. Nothing fancy here, but the food and vibe is fabulous. The mudslide was delicious, love that there is a window to order food/drinks while you wait for a table. The ahi tuna was so fresh an delicious.

We had the beets with burrata, the salt cod, and the fish of the day with melted leeks and fennel. Everything was absolutely outstanding--some of the best food we've had this season. For those considering The Wicked Oyster for dinner, I highly caution you to consider otherwise…read more My husband and I (age 40) visited The Wicked Oyster Provisions shop the day before our dining experience and had a wonderful time. The woman working in the shop was hosting a wine tasting, and we left with some delicious provisions as a result. Because of our great experience, we booked a dinner reservation for the restaurant the next evening. Upon arriving for our reservation, we were promptly seated at a 4-top table in the front room. It was a cloudy day, but even so the room was quite dark. One guest dining was using a phone flashlight in an attempt to read the menu at 6pm. A tea light candle would have done worlds for not only the lighting, but the overall ambiance. While the interior paint color was lovely, the 90's hotel art and Home Depot lighting left a lot to be desired. We ordered the fingerling potatoes, Wellfleet oysters, scallops, and lobster cavatelli. The fingerling potatoes (our snack) came out at the same time as our appetizer (the oysters). We were disappointed that the potatoes were quite dry and overcooked atop what tasted equivalent to a jarred romesco sauce. We quickly ran out of sauce in an attempt to resuscitate the potatoes. The oysters were fine, but not notably different than the Wellfleet oysters we purchase from Whole Foods at home, in Colorado. My husband ordered the scallops, which were served in a seasonal corn sauce with zucchini and peaches. The scallop portion was generous, but the sauce left a lot to be desired. He described it as more of an unseasoned creamed corn than a sauce and there wasn't a pine nut (as advertised) in sight. My pasta was equally disappointing. At this price point, I expected a fresh rolled pasta, which was not the case. The pasta was quite flavorless and the "sauce" was runny and unseasoned. It was also served with a fork, which was quite comical for both my husband and the two tables around us with his watery the sauce was. I might also note that I received a quarter-sized chunk of parm on top, rather than a grated garnish. Thinking it was a chunk of lobster, I bit into it and was quite surprised. The service was attentive, but felt a lot more casual than we expected. We were surprised to see what many of the service staff were dressed in athleisure attire. At this price point, I would expect otherwise. We were glad that our water glasses stayed full, but wish that had been with the sparkling water we ordered, rather than the still water poured. Our sparkling water bottle remained largely full as a result. Overall, we are unable to recommend this restaurant. This is only our third year traveling to the Cape, but would far recommend restaurants like The Pheasant, Baliene, or Chatham Fish Pier over this experience. We left thankful that this wasn't our last night in town and had one more chance to enjoy a nice dinner on the Cape.

Apparently, the owner wanted to re-focus on that part of the business. *shrug* I used to come here around opening and see a lengthy line. The croissants are some of the best in the area. The plain croissant is flaky and light. The ham & cheese croissant is more of a croque monsieur and it's a pretty substantial offering, full of cheese, ham, and béchamel sauce. The individual tarts (lemon, raspberry, etc.) and cakes are beautifully designed and are appropriately sweet. The tart crusts were legit. I'll miss coming here for pastries/desserts. Maybe I'll try the bistro when it opens, but now I've found a new spot on the Cape for French patisserie and viennoiserie items.

But this evening we went early, girded ourselves for the wait, and were rewarded with creative and expertly prepared seafood dishes. Some of the standouts were appetizers, especially the fried oyster bao buns and the smoked bluefish croquettes. And some were mains, notably the sea scallop dish with sweet corn purée and farro which is probably the best restaurant meal I've had this year. A friend really enjoyed her salmon entrée as well and my daughters both loved their sushi. The fish and chips was a bit of a dud--mediocre fries and a pedestrian presentation that was more suited to Mac's takeout spot on the pier, as opposed to this more elevated location. But the fun, festive vibe, gorgeous salt marsh views, and the other amazing dishes make this a solid 5/5. Seriously, get the sea scallops. And those bluefish croquettes!

There's plenty of bike parking by the beer yard. It was a nice day so we wanted to sit outside and have a few beers in the Hog Island beer garden. Service was great. They were getting prepared for the busy season training some folks, and everyone was very friendly and hospitable. The beer garden itself was a huge grassy area with plenty of seating, a mix of picnic tables and regular tables with chairs. Despite it being right by the woods it didn't seem too buggy which was really nice. After hanging out a bit we decided to get dinner there. We were able to order food right at the beer garden and pick it up at the take out window. The food was awesome! We got a bowl of clam chowder, loaded tater tots, and the Rt 6 bacon cheeseburger with a side of greens. First, they're not messing around when they say 'loaded' tots! Some places put a sad little drizzle of cheese sauce on top, but theirs were thoroughly covered with a delicious beer cheese sauce, fresh bacon, and scallions. The clam chowder was great! Not too thick, lots of clams and clam flavor. And the burger was amazing! A nice, thick, juicy patty that was perfectly cooked, a really fresh brioche style bun with lots of flavorful toppings. We walked through the restaurant itself to use the bathroom and it seemed like they had a lot of seating, a nice bar, and a patio area. The only bathrooms being inside the restaurant was a little annoying, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll have some port-o-potties by the beer yard come the full fledged busy season. Overall a really nice time and we look forward to returning!
