Gorgeous views with good food, but overpriced. The lobster roll was fresh and flavorful, the fries were crispy, but for $48 we were expecting something special. The old fashioned was a little too watered down and nothing special. Service staff was fantastic! 1. Old fashioned - 3/5 2. Lobster roll - 4/5

We had the pleasure of dining here over Memorial Day Weekend and arrived without a reservation and sat at the bar until our table was available. Our bartender was absolutely wonderful!!!! So great!!!! We ordered drinks (Gin Blossoms and Pear-adise) which were so good and apps of oysters and wings. For dinner we had fish and chips, pizza and the summer salad with shrimp. Our server was very attentive and did a great job! A live band was playing and the vibe was happy and upbeat. The view is stunning and the sunset was amazing! Wonderful night here at the Outer Bar and we can't wait to go back!

Any restaurant in Wequassett is fantastic. The Outer Bar is no exception. The service is impeccable, the views are incredible and the food and drinks are top notch. The raspberry pomegranate margarita was fantastic. The pretzel app was great. The lobster roll was excellent and the fries too. The swordfish tacos were some of the best I have had. They come three to an order. I did wish it came with something like fries. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese. She loved it. And it wasn't boxed, it was homemade. Can't say enough good things about this resort and this restaurant.

The view and service is amazing but the food definitely isn't equal to it. When we walked in as a group of 11 we were quickly seated and treated by a waiter. He started asking for drinks and was very helpful to all of us. Sitting down it is very peaceful and everything is clean and organized, but when we got our food we realized it's not worth the price at all! My sister ordered a cheese quesadilla from the kids menu and it was more than $10! The food is good but not worth the price at all. If you want to have a good time next to the beach I would recommend coming here but be aware of the price.

We had a 5 days vacation visiting a friend in Caoe Cod and decided to have dinner in this restaurant. We came in at 6:30 pm and was immediately seated at one of the outdoor tables in the beachfront area . The view was lovely and breathtaking and we ordered the following appetizers Steamed Littleneck Clams and Crispy Calamari then for our main course I ordered Lobster Arepa , my husband ordered the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich while my friend ordered the Grilled Salmon loin. The food was flavorful however my husband pointed out to our server that the Steam Littleneck clams had only 3-4 pcs of chopped chorizo and she was very gracious enough to tell the chef and they remade the dish this time with more chorizo . With this you truly can say their service recovery was a master class of hospitality service which you expect from a luxury property like Wequasset Resort . Prices were a bit steep but again you pay for the entire package including the service and ambiance of the restaurant. I would still want to return to this restaurant with such a lovely view in my future visit to Cape Cod

This place has outstanding service and pretty scenic water views. We were nestled further inside the restaurant and didn't really get to take in the views but we were a smaller party. We started with cocktails and I didn't like my frozen margarita very much. It had too much ice and very little flavor other than tequila, so that's a plus. I ordered lobster bisque and the spouse ordered a rib sandwich and fries. The food was ok. The bisque was creamy, buttery and had lobster flavor throughout. My hubs always makes soup with lemon or lime so I think it was missing that and seasoning. So decent but nothing special. The hubs sandwich was better and really rich too. Lots of prime rib and cheese, I thought it needed something fresh or a sauce because it was dense. I'd give the food 3/5 Our server was bubbly and kind. She checked on us often and was cool. I'd give her 5/5. I'd go again, but probably with a reservation for a table with a view and would stick to wine. Also we saw a family celebrating a birthday and the restaurant did a song and a sparkler dessert. I love places that do this honestly. Parking at the resort is free but crowded and the driveway to the restaurant parking lot is a single lane and we had a tough time getting in there as others were exiting. I'd just park in the main open area. Bottom line for me: ok food, superior service. FYI 18% gratuity automatically included.

Beautiful! Breathtaking scenery! The Outer Bar & Grille is at the Wequassette Resort. I live local and am a freelance makeup artist. Whenever I am at the Wequasette I am there for work.... so it was so refreshing to go there for play. This restaurant overlooks the pool and ocean. It just looks like a scene out of a magazine. I'd give them 5 stars for ambience. They lost a couple when I got to the menu. It's kinda boring, nothing special. I had the caesar salad & scallop roll. It tasted good, I was just hoping for a little... more. I understand it's the casual outside restaurant at the resort.... but I think they could have gotten a little more creative. Oh! And the they were stingy on the wine pouring! I ordered two glasses... normally I only get one... BUT since I got a third of a glass I sprang for the second one. $18 for a glass of wine kinda sucks. Perfect place for visit it you are on vacation OR if you're a local who wants to FEEL like they are on vacation. You can bring the kiddos!

Great Lobster rolls. Our server was Lauren (at the bar) and she was awesome! We were in a hurry & she helped "rush" the kitchen.

Food was delicious - we had several salads, the tuna crudo, the mushroom appetizer (a real standout), lobster carbonara (the appetizer portion is a perfect size for a multi-course meal), scallops, and the sticky toffee pudding was out of this world. Food presentation also lovely. They also brought out a slice of birthday cake to celebrate! We walked the grounds afterwards and this is truly a special environment.

But if you venture into the dark side of hocking your home for a special dinner... The dining experience was EVERYTHING one could hope for in a restaurant of this caliber. Not a "Michellin Star" but certainly an approachable, reasonable, professionally kind and delicious dining experience. They have a dress code, but from my observation, the diners weren't as "fancy" as I thought they would be. Make no mistakes, this restaurant is on the high end of price range. And if you choose to take the plunge, expect to shell out a hefty price tag - WORTH EVERY PENNY. If you aren't swimming in dough, it's the kind of place reserved for something special - starting with the staff - all amazingly approachable, knowledgeable and polished in their appearance. "Emerils" quality staff (almost, because the serving is ALMOST as choreographed as the best Emeril experience). At the helm for us, Miss Vivienne (sp). WOW! Working herself up from room attendant to super server, this gem has been with the establishment for over 30 years. You can't fake this kind of loyalty - which solidifies the experience. BEAUTIFUL wine list. Now the food - ITS A LOT. A LOT for what a "tasting" menu/experience offers, its A LOT of food! 2 course tasting menu for $125, 4 course for $150 and a 7 course for $195. And its NOT etched in stone. It's your experience and the kitchen is open to your needs based on the menu offerings. Easily accommodating gluten sensitivies too. We opted for the 7 course meal. The "tasting" and swapped out the tenderloin and the lemongrass mousse. The bread was a warm and sultry herbed brioche with house made butter. Followed by 2 oysters, a yellow tomato gazpacho with Jonas Crab - luscious, perfectly seasoned with a creamy mouthfeel, so velvety. Carrots 3 ways - puree'd, roasted and slightly steamed adorned 3 HUGE and PERFECTLY executed scallops. By then, I was full! And out comes a true tasting of their lobster carbonara with Bucattini. I could have stopped there. But I ordered the Halibut. DOUBLE the portion I was served at STARS, perfectly seasoned, perfect temp with a squid ink paella style bomba rice with crispy chorizo and PERFECTLY poached squid. A FLAVOR BOMB offered with the butter wine sauce to be served at your discretion. My husband had the duck - it came 2 ways - pan seared and a shredded confit. DOUBLE the portion he was served cold at STARS. A lovely palate cleanser was provided in between the carbonara and the main course. And then dessert... I have rarely said that a dessert outshines the meal. If the meal was spectacular, the dessert was something out of my dreams! I swore Amaury Guichon was in the kitchen! I ordered an apple mousse with apple compote. Out came "an apple". I smashed the "skin" - an impossibly thin layer of white chocolate sprayed with red white chocolate. The mousse intact was ethereal and light and the apple fragrance just took me away. And if that wasn't enough, the delicate small diced firm compote was not overly sweet. SUBLIME. My husban had the Yuzu mousse with sesame icecream and chocolate twigs. A museum sculpture for sure. He is STILL talking about it. Almost $1000 later, we felt we had been to another place in time. And as we were about to say adios, Vivienne walks out with a little gem box with the daintiest cookies and confections. I simply couldn't eat more! A STANDING OVATION for the service, the food, ambiance and view. What a BIRTHDAY!
