We had the pleasure of dining here over Memorial Day Weekend and arrived without a reservation and sat at the bar until our table was available. Our bartender was absolutely wonderful!!!! So great!!!! We ordered drinks (Gin Blossoms and Pear-adise) which were so good and apps of oysters and wings. For dinner we had fish and chips, pizza and the summer salad with shrimp. Our server was very attentive and did a great job! A live band was playing and the vibe was happy and upbeat. The view is stunning and the sunset was amazing! Wonderful night here at the Outer Bar and we can't wait to go back!

Any restaurant in Wequassett is fantastic. The Outer Bar is no exception. The service is impeccable, the views are incredible and the food and drinks are top notch. The raspberry pomegranate margarita was fantastic. The pretzel app was great. The lobster roll was excellent and the fries too. The swordfish tacos were some of the best I have had. They come three to an order. I did wish it came with something like fries. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese. She loved it. And it wasn't boxed, it was homemade. Can't say enough good things about this resort and this restaurant.

We had a 5 days vacation visiting a friend in Caoe Cod and decided to have dinner in this restaurant. We came in at 6:30 pm and was immediately seated at one of the outdoor tables in the beachfront area . The view was lovely and breathtaking and we ordered the following appetizers Steamed Littleneck Clams and Crispy Calamari then for our main course I ordered Lobster Arepa , my husband ordered the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich while my friend ordered the Grilled Salmon loin. The food was flavorful however my husband pointed out to our server that the Steam Littleneck clams had only 3-4 pcs of chopped chorizo and she was very gracious enough to tell the chef and they remade the dish this time with more chorizo . With this you truly can say their service recovery was a master class of hospitality service which you expect from a luxury property like Wequasset Resort . Prices were a bit steep but again you pay for the entire package including the service and ambiance of the restaurant. I would still want to return to this restaurant with such a lovely view in my future visit to Cape Cod

The view and service is amazing but the food definitely isn't equal to it. When we walked in as a group of 11 we were quickly seated and treated by a waiter. He started asking for drinks and was very helpful to all of us. Sitting down it is very peaceful and everything is clean and organized, but when we got our food we realized it's not worth the price at all! My sister ordered a cheese quesadilla from the kids menu and it was more than $10! The food is good but not worth the price at all. If you want to have a good time next to the beach I would recommend coming here but be aware of the price.

Highest of recommendations!…read more Right in Route 28 as you head into Chatman Shopping District. Plenty of parking and open year round. Like the old Caswell's in Marshfield, you buy at a counter, they give you a number, and you sit on down as food is brought to you. The inside of Mac's is very clean and spacious, and has about twenty tables. There is seating outside - seasonal and today is January, with snow... so we stayed inside. Started off with the Mac's Clam Chowder which was a lovely milk broth - just as good as the chowder at the Clark Cooke House in Newport, Rhode Island! Homemade, flavorful and not jammed with excessive potatoes or onion; the clams were cooked well. I had the fish soup, looked almost like Portuguese Kale, but was very delicious, had a bit of heat to it, the fish was downright incredible; the carrots, celery, and onions were cooked to perfection. We usually get some raw bar, and they have a nice selection of little necks, cherry stones, and oysters, but today for us it was a pound and half of steamed clams. Plump, clean, and sand free. Just as good as those at Mattakeese Wharf Restaurant. Lobster... I asked for a two pounder, and got a 2.5 pounder. Fresh, delicious, succulent, and sweet. Wonderful and hard working staff. No negatives whatsoever.

Didn't really get the hype. I've definitely had better clam chowder and lobster rolls. I went for their current advertised Lobster roll special at $23.99. Ordered Exactly as advertised and was charged $25.99. I asked first if it was all claw and knuckle or if they use tail meat too. Oh, definitely both , she exclaimed! I found one small mangled piece of tail at the bottom and it included a sharp piece of shell that hurt my tongue. I told them and showed her the shell. All she did was explain how they try to get it all but they just can't sometimes. I looked at her and said that they aren't doing it right. I asked if she was going to offer me a partial refund and she refused. The Lobster bisque was not a bisque and I don't think there was any lobster in the kitchen when it was made, much less in the pot!! Cole slaw was covered in spicy pepper and neither of us could eat it. Fries were meh! My husband had the fried scallop platter and they were overcooked and super greasy. Disgustingly so. I DK why people like this place but there are so many good places around here where you can get a full service meal, in a real restaurant cooked by real trained chefs and served by professionals who know how to make consumers happy. Total bill with tip was $84.07!!! For a crappy meal with no service and not a clue about customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this garbage.

What stands out: Some of the Peruvian / Colombian offerings are fantastic. Staff have a deep sense of kindness and hospitality. Even though they close at 8 p.m., they not only took the Pardner's just-under-the-wire order, but didn't rush us in the least. It wasn't until we'd finished and were on our way out that we noticed the hours -- and that we were 20 minutes past eight. The lobster ceviche was a touch spendy for the price, size, and the amount of lobster included in the dish. But it was very tasty, Peruvian in style and garnished with cancha and sweet potato, just the right amount of heat and acid. Empanadas were, I think, Colombian in style, made out of orange-tinged masa, beautifully deep fried with juicy innards -- wonderful. Tacos were made out of a soft flour tortilla and a hard corn taco shell, I guess not unlike a Taco Bell "chalupa." It was not what the Pardner was hoping for, unfortunately. There were two tacos to an order, which averaged out to be $9 or $10 a taco. Probably a bit steep for those of us who are lucky enough to be in a place where good south and Latin American food is more commonplace. This is the kind of menu I want to get to know. Not everything is to our own personal tastes, but there are some things that this place seems to do very, very well. I'd like to come back for those.
