Great service! Fast seating & ordering, unfortunately the food fell flat for me. I ordered 2 sushi rolls, and for being a sushi heavy restaurant (the whole front page of their menu?), I felt like my sushi was really bland! It was good quality - soft rice, soft salmon, but I expected more. beautiful views from the seating areas!

Phenomenal crab cake sandwich. Cooked perfectly, with a nice crunch on the outside but soft crab inside. The fries were also cooked well, crisp and not too soggy. The sauce on the crab cake sandwich was flavorful and complimented the crab cake. Others in my party had the knuckle sandwich and praised the amount of lobster, as well as the fish and chips. Everyone was satisfied with their meal and we got to sit on the back deck in the shade with a nice view of the boats going by. We did wait for well over the time they told us, but I think the wait at any restaurant during tourist season in Cape Cod would've been similar. I'd definitely return!

Met my Brian's his wife here for dinner Great location on the water and lots of outdoor seating too. The menu is extensive and I decided that I'd get the whole belly clam roll since I can't get them in NC. The clam bellies were enormous and delicious on a toasted New England style roll. I was in heaven.

First time at this spot but it's going on the permanent list for sure! Inventive cocktails, a beautiful view, and such fresh eats! Excellent service and never wanted for a thing!

We recently stopped at Fishermen's View for lunch when heading into the Cape for a weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the window views are great! The bar area is first come, first served, and we ended up with a great window bar spot with views of boats coming in and out of the marina. The food was pretty good, especially the clam chowder. The fish and chips were a little too greasy for my preference, and the crab claws were a little tough, but the flavor of everything was enjoyable. Definitely worth a stop in for the views, staff, and drinks!

Our server in the bar area upstairs was fantastic. Considering it was a pretty popular spot we didn't have too long of a wait. I will say it's quite confusing how there is some open seating but not much clarification on where that is even after asking 2 separate people. Drinks were very good and quick to come out as were our apps. Our entrees did take some time to come out however it was all tasty, we did have a steak order on our ticket and the steak itself had an abundance of fat on it but besides that it had good flavor.

Dining with a beautiful view of the Cape Cod Canal makes this spot special from the moment you arrive. Even if you don't get a table with a view the water, the atmosphere inside by the bar is still lively and fun thanks to the live music they always seem to have going. The cocktails are some of the best we've had, especially the dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives and the espresso martini. The raw bar and sushi are standout choices, but the real star of the menu is the lobster mac and cheese which is incredibly creamy and rich with a generous amount of lobster. Between the food, drinks, music, and views, it's the kind of place that's easy to keep coming back to.

This is a beautiful restaurant on the Cape Cod Canal. Great water views! We went in for lunch on a Monday and it was packed - about a 15-20 minute wait. The bar scene is very lively and a great place not just to get a drink but also to enjoy a meal. If you like energy... this bar has a lot of it! We could not get a seat at the bar so ended up with a table looking over the water. The dining room is very diverse- everything from families to business luncheons to retirees. It's loud ... but I love a room with a great buzz to it. We had an order of Tuna Sashimi and a Spider roll - both were sizable portions and although they were pricy - the portion size compensated for the price. For drinks we had a beautiful glass of Albariño which was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. I could have hung around and sipped that wine all day - it was a perfect expression of a beautiful Spanish white wine. It's only June so I can't imagine how busy this place gets in July and August. I would highly recommend this place for food - ambience - service and the view!!

Even on a gloomy, misty day, sitting at Fisherman's View with its many windows and well-positioned inlet vantage point made for a lunch I could've dragged out through dinner & dessert. Aw he**, I could've stayed til lunch the next day! The crab cakes were tender & flakey. And the apple & fennel salad was an ample, crispety-crunchety, flavorful accompaniment. We also couldn't resist ordering the maple butternut squash, which was downright bathing in high quality pure maple-syrup, resembling more of a dessert than a side and exquisite nonetheless. My brother, seated across from me, helped himself to the MP lobster roll... and I watched as his pupils turned into hearts with eat tender nibble. This was a lunch of epic proportions.

My family and I decided to come here, it was a bit of long wait but we read online that it was a must to try out the restaurant. There wait was over 30 mins but it went very fast. We wanted to sit inside but the reservations were all booked for the rest of the year which we thought that was pretty crazy. The food was very very good and it tasted very fresh. The prices were just right as well. I would highly recommend coming here and giving them a shot. Its definitely worth the wait.

Busy on a Thursday for lunch around 12:30. Seated right away with great views. Service was amazing by our Server Dustin along with the staff clearing nearby tables. Our Tuna Sushi Boat was so fresh and delicious. We also ordered a side of yummy fries and Dustin ( and the kitchen) jumped through hoops to serve our food together even thought the fries were an add on. What an extensive menu! All our dining neighbors food looked so good too. I think we have planned our next few visits. Next item on our list is the Knuckle Sandwich. Maybe more Sushi too.

Do they serve waffles all day or just at breakfast time?

Thanks for your question; waffles are part of our rotating brunch specials, which we do in the fall, winter, and spring on Sundays from 11:30am to 3:30pm.

Who is the current chef de cuisine?

Hi Debra, thank you for your question. Our sous chefs are currently Chef Jomar and Chef Tim!

Is there an elevator to get to the dining room or just stairs?

There is an elevator from just inside the front door at ground level that brings occupants up one floor to the dining room and bar level.

I know many just hang out here on the deck overlooking the harbor, below F/V. Sometimes the waitlist is just too long. *Note that they do accept F/V gift cards here also. So you're looking at about 8 picnic tables with umbrellas pushed together. A small walk up shack mixing drinks, and cooking food. The menu is in chalk, and changing daily. Most items are on the snack size. Then again, 2-3 Blackened salmon tacos, or F/V beef sliders is enough to fill the belly. Now you're fed, enjoying a cool libation, and some live guitar music with a scenic view. The prices are good. The service at the shack is good. The drinks are good. The food is great. Everything is pay at the shack or run a tab. Many never even went back to their F/V reservation. I wish there was more attention to silverware and napkins. I know it's hard to keep tables clean when a butt sits down as soon as one gets up. You basically bus the garbage of the previous tenant. They highly discourage entry and exit through the sidewalk gate. The exception was made for a handicapped person in our party. *Note that we did encounter some biting, flying insects on first week of July. Lot's of bug bites the next day.

GREAT LITTLE EXPERIENCE HERE! The wife and I were on a bit of a Sunday drive from the Mid-Cape. We…read morewanted to try something new, so we drove to Sandwich to see if we could come across something. We were in the area of Fisherman's View, and decided to go to a place we both had been long time ago; we knew it then as the Sagamore Inn. Now, THE SAGAMORE, it's a gently, though sophistically renovated (not losing any charm), clean, comfortable spot. We opted to sit at the inside bar. It's a smaller bar boasting one row of seats, facing your bartender. Nicely presented liquor stock, and a neat, clean bar overall. This particular Sunday, it was holiday, Palm Sunday, for those who celebrate, and we strolled in about 2:30PM or so. A nice, welcoming, upbeat, bartender named Mikayla (sp.?) greeted us, and immediately made us feel comfortable; this is so important! I ordered my favorite drink: an Espresso Martini. One of the best is at Columbo's in Hyannis, so they were up against a challenge. I noticed right away that they use top shelf vodka in their martinis, so I knew right away I was in for a treat, a top quality martini! The martini's taste did not disappoint; it was fantastic. A perfect balance of espresso, blended with the best vodka, other superb ingredients, and shaken perfectly; not too strong; not too sweet; just right! Definitely up there as one of the best. One drawback: owners, if you ever read this please take notice: the martini's contents did not fill the martini glass when served. The drink was 3/4 full. Even the great John Taffer from Bar Rescue would say this is a no-no. Going out as often as we do, we certainly notice the martini glass size game. Sometimes, you'll get a "full" martini in a tiny martini glass. Well the Sagamore, uses a full sized martini glass, though when we inquired, we're advised it's their protocol to only fill it 3/4 of the way up. Well I'll tell you, it makes for a horrible presentation, the customer feels as though they aren't getting a full drink, and in 1-2 sips, the glass looks half empty. It wasn't worth taking a star away for sure, because the price at $14.00 is a very fair price when others charge $17-$19 a martini. It''s more of an insult when those expensive martinis come in a smaller sized martini glass. Please, The Sagamore, fill the glass. I get its top shelf vodka and a fair price. Do a smaller glass, or go up a dollar and fill the regular sized martini glass, or don't go up a dollar and just fill the glass please! We did, as I said, bring it to the attention of Mikayla, who was so nice to bring my second martini closer to the rim! So appreciated, and really part of the reason we'll be back; and we hope we don't get you in trouble! Haha. To the food: superb. Definitely NOT greasy bar food, it's way above! Those fried provolone were fresh, light, airy, not heavy with old oil. Delicious taste. Even the marinara for dipping was delicious. I had a meatball sandwich that was huge, I actually saved the second half. The meatballs were fresh, not frozen, tasted delicious. The onion rings were light, fresh, sweet, tasty. It's so nice that The Sagamore uses fresh oil in their fried food. My wife ordered the scallop roll, there were plenty of scallops on it. The scallops were light, sweet, tasted fresh. My absolute favorite were the pickles they serve at The Sagamore; I've never had anything like them! The were fresh with a spicy sweet flavor that just popped and made for a nice addition to my sandwich. Mikayla was so accommodating and nice to give me a few extra for my to go portion. To the chefs, cooks, prep people: THANK YOU! We noticed your hard work and attention to detail. Please keep it up! Definitely will be back, and if you've never been, it's worth the trip whether you're on Cape or off! As you folks that read my reviews know both my wife and I have owned restaurants, bars etc. I try my best to be fair, respectful, understanding in my reviews. We are both always respectful of our servers, without question. (Really, everyone should be!) Servers can make or break a place. I will say Mikayla truly added to our experience at The Sagamore (and no, I do not know her!). When we go out to an establishment, we want to relax, enjoy, be happy, be accommodated. Mikayla helped provide this experience, along with all the others that make The Sagamore a great place to go. Keep up the great work, and you'll have people coming back over and over again, and telling others how fantastic you are!

Not busy at all. One very odd guy at the counter and 3 deuces besides us in booths. Hubs tried the Buffalo Chicken Tenders which he said were unremarkable but fine. I had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and the 'zucchini medley'. In all honesty but for the oiliness of the gravy my dinner was really good and so hot that I had to adjust everything in order to release some of the heat. The meatloaf was serviceable and a large portion of it (I'm having the remnants as a sandwich for lunch today), the mashed potatoes were definitely from fresh potatoes as I found a not unpleasant chunk of unmashed potato in there. The zucchini was a real treat with caramelized zucchini, which I love, crispy shallots and grape tomatoes. All, as I said, piping hot.
