My family and I stopped at Fishermen's View for lunch during our recent visit to Cape Cod. The restaurant was crowded and had a lively atmosphere, but we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and took our orders right away. The food arrived fairly quickly and did not disappoint. My wife ordered the broiled cod, which was buttery, flavorful, and delicious. My youngest son had the mac and cheese and thoroughly enjoyed it. My oldest son ordered the California roll and thought it was just okay, good, but a bit pricey for the portion size. I went with the lobster BLT, and it really hit the spot. Overall, the food was very good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was energetic and welcoming. Phenomenal crab cake sandwich. Cooked perfectly, with a nice crunch on the outside but soft crab inside. The fries were also cooked well, crisp and not too soggy. The sauce on the crab cake sandwich was flavorful and complimented the crab cake. Others in my party had the knuckle sandwich and praised the amount of lobster, as well as the fish and chips. Everyone was satisfied with their meal and we got to sit on the back deck in the shade with a nice view of the boats going by. We did wait for well over the time they told us, but I think the wait at any restaurant during tourist season in Cape Cod would've been similar. I'd definitely return! read more

Hello, my wife's lobster roll was superior in every way, but it should be for $48.00!! My blackened salmon wrap was seriously lacking Salmon,,I didn't finish it!! We waited 38 mins for a seat...OK, then they proceeded to lead to outside seating, we don't sit "outside ", we asked for something else..they put us, right next to the kitchen entrance and waitresses station, note to management; have hostesses ask what paying customers prefer!!. We recently stopped at Fishermen's View for lunch when heading into the Cape for a weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the window views are great! The bar area is first come, first served, and we ended up with a great window bar spot with views of boats coming in and out of the marina. The food was pretty good, especially the clam chowder. The fish and chips were a little too greasy for my preference, and the crab claws were a little tough, but the flavor of everything was enjoyable. Our server in the bar area upstairs was fantastic. Considering it was a pretty popular spot we didn't have too long of a wait. I will say it's quite confusing how there is some open seating but not much clarification on where that is even after asking 2 separate people. Drinks were very good and quick to come out as were our apps. Our entrees did take some time to come out however it was all tasty, we did have a steak order on our ticket and the steak itself had an abundance of fat on it but besides that it had good flavor. read more

I arrived early to meet friends on a Sunday at 3:30 and was surprised how crowded the parking lot was...only to find out they have live music and a buck-an-oyster happy hour. The bar was very lively! Every time I eat here I am so impressed by the service, atmosphere, and food--all top notch. We were seated under an air vent blowing cold air (it's winter, but I think they were anticipating the crowd later on). I asked our waitress if there was anything that could be done and minutes later she returned to say the manager was dealing with it, and then the heat came back on. I've requested this at other restaurants only to be ignored. Not inexpensive, but worth every $$$$, IMHO. read more

Even if you don't get a table with a view the water, the atmosphere inside by the bar is still lively and fun thanks to the live music they always seem to have going. This is a beautiful restaurant on the Cape Cod Canal. Great water views! We went in for lunch on a Monday and it was packed - about a 15-20 minute wait. The bar scene is very lively and a great place not just to get a drink but also to enjoy a meal. If you like energy... this bar has a lot of it! We could not get a seat at the bar so ended up with a table looking over the water. The dining room is very diverse- everything from families to business luncheons to retirees. It's loud ... but I love a room with a great buzz to it. We had an order of Tuna Sashimi and a Spider roll - both were sizable portions and although they were pricy - the portion size compensated for the price. For drinks we had a beautiful glass of Albariño which was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. I could have hung around and sipped that wine all day - it was a perfect expression of a beautiful Spanish white wine. It's only June so I can't imagine how busy this place gets in July and August. I would highly recommend this place for food - ambience - service and the view!! read more

Aw he**, I could've stayed til lunch the next day! The crab cakes were tender & flakey. And the apple & fennel salad was an ample, crispety-crunchety, flavorful accompaniment. We also couldn't resist ordering the maple butternut squash, which was downright bathing in high quality pure maple-syrup, resembling more of a dessert than a side and exquisite nonetheless. My family and I decided to come here, it was a bit of long wait but we read online that it was a must to try out the restaurant. There wait was over 30 mins but it went very fast. We wanted to sit inside but the reservations were all booked for the rest of the year which we thought that was pretty crazy. The food was very very good and it tasted very fresh. Busy on a Thursday for lunch around 12:30. Seated right away with great views. Service was amazing by our Server Dustin along with the staff clearing nearby tables. Our Tuna Sushi Boat was so fresh and delicious. We also ordered a side of yummy fries and Dustin ( and the kitchen) jumped through hoops to serve our food together even thought the fries were an add on. What an extensive menu! Ended our trip in Sandwich MA at fisherman's view through the recommendation of our bnb host. Upon arrival we were taken aback by how booked and busy this place was. It was 8pm on a Thursday. The host let us know for a table of three it would be about 1.5 hour wait. We accepted it and to our surprise a table was ready in half the time. Our waitress was friendly and quick. We ordered the cod, lobster mac, fried chicken thighs, and steak. The food was pretty good, nothing to call home about. I would say the biggest "issue" for us was that we were sat outside on a cold ish night, it was windy, no sun, super cloudy and we were suprised to see a place as nice as fisherman's view didn't have heat lamps or offered blankets. read more

We sat inside and were promptly served with warm delicious cornbread. Our party of seven promptly placed our order and food was served quickly. Was looking for a spot for lunch on our way back home from spending the weekend on the Cape, this place was rated pretty high and seafood can't get any fresher than this as its boat to table! We took a chance on Easter Sunday without reservations and walked in when they first opened and scored a table! Just a tip, plan ahead and try to get a table overlooking the water. They did have a fantastic looking bar as well that had we not scored a table, we would've been fine at the bar as well. We ordered several appetizers - 2 sushi rolls, the cauliflower and the notorious crab cakes. We were wowed by all of our apps! The sushi was phenomenal and we've had ALOT of sushi in our lifetime. The fish in the rolls were so fresh and they weren't super doused in sauces to really let the fish shine. The mister absolutely loved his crab cakes - said they were delish! We both ordered fish - fish and chips for me and the fish sandwich for him. They offered two different ways to have it - either beer battered or clam fried (lighter batter) which is what I opted for. Fish was just ok in my opinion, good not great. We had high hopes for our entrees as we throughly enjoyed our apps. Service was impeccable so absolutely no complaints there. OK, So let's take a look at the Fisherman's View restaurant in Sandwich, Ma. This restaurant AND fish market has been around for over 10 years, but we just discovered it a couple of years ago. It is now our go-to place for dinner on the upper Cape. What I like about it: The food is great. The ambiance. The place is right on the Cape Cod Canal at the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. If you're lucky you'll get to see some amazing boats pass by your window. The staff: We have never yet met anyone at this place who wasn't cheerful, greeting us warmly, professional. Last night our server was Rachel who's been there 8 years. She should be teaching a course on what it means to be a server. The price: extremely competitive. The Bar: It ROCKS. Our first impression was how friendly and efficient the check in staff were. We sat at the bar while waiting for our table and they were also very attentive. Once seated, Anya our waiter was so thoughtful. She asked if we had been here before, which we hadn't. The Husband and I made a trek from Truro to Sandwich to visit the Sandwich Glass Museum (an excellent museum btw) and decided to have luch before proceeding to the Museum. When we got to Fisherman's View, which we found by googling "Restaurants near me" and saying "OK, that one!" the parking lot was jammed, but we were luckily seated immediately. Very nice room, with excellent views - as the name promises. I ordered a martini, and the Husband, at the suggestion of the server, ordered a zero-proof Margarita: this was exceptional! When he mentioned he might order another but with salt, our server took the existing drink back to the bar and returned with a salted glass. We had oysters to start, and they were firm and buttery and clearly very fresh, tasting of the sea in that perfect "This is why I Love oysters" way, and the Champagne mignonette was so good. I had the Cod Fish and Chips, "clam fried," which is a lighter batter that allows the fiercely fresh fish to be the star of the dish, rather than the batter getting all the glory, and the chips were great: Best fish and chips ever, including the UK. But the biggest highlight: the Husband had sushi, specifically the Spicy Tuna Lobster Roll, and that was out of this world delicious!!! Unbelievably fresh and bursting with flavor: highly recommend!! Last - our server, Maggie S, was one of the reasons this lunch was so memorable. Knowledgeable about the food, shared a little history of the restaurant, made excellent suggestions, timed everything perfectly, and a true delight in every way: she was the secret ingredient in the entire experience. When we go back to the Cape (and we will), this will be a "must do" on our "To do" list. Thank you! read more

It's a beautiful water front spot for lunch or dinner and everything I've ever had here is amazing. I really love their salads. They are always so fresh and tasty.
