Tempura Bass and Heirloom Tomato Salad

Wow! It has been quite a while since we've been blown away by a meal like our dinner at Water Street Kitchen. Service was impeccable and everyone seemed so happy to be representing the restaurant. Each dish had different levels of flavor and the ingredients were extremely fresh. We especially loved the heirloom tomato appetizer, haddock, scallops, homemade ice ream and galette. We drove a hour to dine were and our experience made the trip worth it. Definitely check out if you get the chance.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner here. Our waitress Tricia had some great recommendations for us like the duck confit appetizer, and the striped bass that I got for my entree. She was even able to tell me where the bass was caught! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly and every person we interacted with was very kind and helpful. To top it all off, we wanted to step outside to take some pictures by the water while we waited for our food and the hostess offered to come outside with us and take our picture so we could remember the night. Absolutely 5 star service!

Just wow! Believe the hype people this is Some of the best cuisine on cape cod..not pretentiousness, just well executed food with hyper local ingredients and creative takes on approachable favorites.Friendly, welcoming service from this young professional staff.cozy room with a mix of locals at the bar to a packed dining room on a rainy march evening. I can understand why. Highly recommended if you're on the Cape any time soon or in the future.

Hallibut with canelli beans and pancetta. Delicious beverages were the perfect compliment!

This was hands down the best meal we have eaten in Massachusetts - not just because we ran fast today (Cape Cod marathon weekend) it was one of the best dinners we have ever enjoyed. Their menu was full of fresh, local New England food with perfect presentation. The wait staff took great care of us. This little location fills up fast so bring an extra layer if you are lucky enough to snag a seat outside. We are so lucky to have eaten dinner here, we can't wait to come back!

Simply wonderful food and beverages. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Nice vibe. Definitely going back!

This restaurant should be getting more than 5 stars if possible. The service is beyond good. Constantly did we have people to check up on us, asking how things were and refilling drinks. The food was AMAZING. Everything was fresh, flavorful and great serving size. The burger was BEYOND amazing. The restaurant has beautiful views and a great balance between formal and casual. Would highly recommend this place as a MUST visit. You will not be disappointed.

Cioppino (seafood stew) with squid ink bread

One of the best restaurants on the Cape and our favorite in the Falmouth & Woods Hole area. Seasonal menu that is regularly updated. Cocktails are well balanced and interesting. Excellent wine list. Perfectly cooked dishes with layers of flavors and textures that keep us coming back year after year. The view of the bay and boats passing through the drawbridge are wonderful. Pictured is the tiki tommy, a new cocktail. The frozen grapes are smoked, so delicious! Also pictured are the crudo and cioppino (seafood stew). There was a neat squid ink bread served with the stew. Reservations can be hard to get in the summer. Plan ahead!

This is a great option if you're in Woods Hole or Falmouth, MA. The service is amazing; the food is very good, the fish pate is remarkable (remember this when you have the pickles and the mustard that comes with the pate). This is a 4 1/2 star restaurant. Our only comment are the size of the entrees, a bit too big, if there downside by 1/3, they'd be perfect. The ambiance is nice, nautic set up, with plenty of local regulars pouring in for dinner.

Best burger I have ever had.

Food was five star. Not even a burger person and we will be back for another in the future. Juicy and the garlic aioli sauce was an amazing condiment. The bread...how is such a simple recipe so good? Better than baguette bread in France. And radish butter? It was delicious! Got an extra. The shishito peppers were a yummy app, but...it was so filling we could only eat 1/2 the burger. Can't wait for leftovers!

Literally a top 5 place I've ever eaten at. I had oysters for an app- yummy. The sirloin steak meal was out of this world. And then .. the chocolate press pie dessert was delish. All drinks were awesome too. Service was top notch. Highly recommend.

Had some nice eats while visiting Cape Cod for a mini vacation. This place was amazing. Service is a 5, ambience is a 5, and food was a 5. This place was a casual place. We sat at a hightop in the bar area. The food was fancy and delicious. The dishes were plated creatively and all the flavors complimented each other. We loved the fancy curled grilled corn. If you're looking for some yummy creative food, fun drinks, and a casual place... This is the spot. We will definitely come back here when visiting Falmouth again. Enjoy! ~ Nini

We got both fresh offerings of oysters to start.- so good. For beverages, I had a Maine IPA & Kate had a pear pressure. We really enjoyed them both. Kate got the Seafood Pot Pie. The good news is we try each others meals. An absolute home run! The scrod, lobster, scallops and shrimp were perfect. Add in Newburg sauce asparagus and spinach, top it with a puff pastry to soak up the sauce-10 out of 10. There is a reason it's a house favorite. I had the baked seafood trio. Shrimp, scrod and scallops, with baked potato and asparagus. 2 u-15 shrimp, 3oz of fresh Chatham scrod and 3 local scallops, done in a lemon beurre blac. A small portion of each but delicious. The baked potato was just like you would hope. Asparagus was underdone, by our tastes, but not knocking the rating over that. Overall 8/10. Will try the blackened mahi mahi next visit. Kate's not budging from the seafood pot pie Our server Taryn was nice and busy. They have runners who are all over the place. Owner? out picking up plates and checking every time to make sure we were happy. Nearly half of my life was spent in the front of the house-that's how I treated every person I encountered in my establishments. This place was crazy busy. Every server, food runner, host etc had a genuine smile. Customers were happy, among them, many locals. Our take; if you are here for a few days or a while, make it a point to enjoy a meal here. Pretty confident you'll be happy you did.

In my experience one can tell a lot from a restaurant's name. With cliche names like "Quarterdeck," "Fisherman's Catch," etc. it's almost guaranteed to be average at best. I don't know why but it's usually true. I got a clam roll which turned out to be a mistake. I got it because I wanted a smaller portion than the platter. But the clams were oversized for a roll and too few in number so it was hard to eat. Good for a platter but for a roll, smaller clams and more of them would be better. But the clams though were fresh, cooked correctly, and the batter was decent, not outstanding. The roll was toasted and buttered, and a small lettuce leaf completed the sandwich. My biggest complaint was the tartar sauce, homemade, which was a disaster. Tasted of little more than plain mayonnaise. Unfortunately the fries were almost room temperature. I wasn't going to say anything but when the waitress came by and asked I told her. She apologized, took them away, and returned with a new platter of fries, a very large portion, and scaldingly hot. I was no longer so hungry but ate a good fraction of them, as leaving them after she brought a replacement just seemed rude. They weren't very good though; greasy and the oil didn't taste fresh. To drink I had a "mocktail" version of a Moscow Mule. It was way too sweet. Without the bite of alcohol it needed something else to tone down the sweetness. It wasn't cheap either. I should have just had a plain ginger ale. I would recommend trying someplace else instead. Lots of choices in the area.

From the second we walked in, the whole place just had an amazing atmosphere. The ambience is honestly one of the best parts about dining here -- you've got that perfect Cape Cod waterfront vibe with the boats in the marina, the breeze coming off the water, and the way the light hits the harbor around sunset makes everything feel super relaxed but still special at the same time. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your meal without feeling rushed, and just take in where you are. On top of that, our waitress Ashley gave us outstanding service. She was genuinely so nice and welcoming right from the start, constantly checking in on us without ever being overbearing. You can tell she really cares about making sure people are having a good experience. She answered all of our questions about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. It's rare to get service that feels that attentive but still natural, and she really made our night better. And the food was amazing. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You could tell it was made with care and not just rushed out. Between the service, the ambience, and the quality of the food, this was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Falmouth. We'll definitely be coming back, and we hope to get Ashley again next time!

Seriously, if you follow me, you know that is a compliment! My drink was a dirty martini & it was a heavy pour & a decent drink. Again, not the best but very good. For the entree I wanted to order the sushi pizza.. yea you heard it right, I wouldn't have even considered it but by neighboring table got it & it looked FANTASTIC. However, I was away from home & did not want leftovers so I ordered the special sushi roll Crimson Tide & added Jalapeños. The Jalapeños were fresh & crispy, but did not lend any additional heat. I am a sushi snob, so it was not the best I've ever had, but it was decent. For most it would be good. The menu changes regularly, which was a little disappointing. It was different online, vs on Yelp vs in person & the prices were about $10 more than listed online, but overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I would recommend checking them out, just know it won't be cheap. I originally wanted the seared Tuna, but when I got here, it was halibut & it was $36 vs $22. I will include pics of the menu, but like I said, it's subject to change. OK, take this with a grain of salt. I would probably have made it a 4 vs 3 so I'm on the fence. Regan, my server explained that the additional $6 added to my $12 martini was not because it was a dirty martini, but because it was up vs on the rocks, so it was a bigger pour. It makes sense, but I have never seen this before.. make your own decisions.

What a delightful experience, due not only to the quality of the food and the charm of the venue, but to the warmth, humor, and personality of our server Jenn. My review for card-carrying members of team Cliff Notes: "A cozy pub atmosphere with lots of regulars, flavorful food, personable staff, with a view of the ferries, at competitive prices." Everyone else is invited to continue reading. We've taken our older grandson (now 6) to lunch in Woods Hole a few times after visiting the aquarium and really enjoy the "on-the-water" vibe and décor of Captain Kidd. Unfortunately, Captain Kidd is still closed for the season and so is Land Fall. So, the options were limited. Having enjoyed a meal a few years ago at the Onset Quahog Republic, we decided on the Leeside Pub. Parking in the immediate area is a challenge but we lucked out with parking on Main Street--just remember to bring quarters--which of course I did)--less than a block away. We were seated at one of the long tables as soon as we entered. Jenn, who was server, bartender, and food runner (from upstairs down to the restaurant), quickly took our drink orders--a seltzer for my wife, an apple juice for our grandson, and a freshly brewed iced tea for me (the iced tea was wonderful). While I quickly looked at the menu before we left the house for the aquarium, we already knew what our grandson was getting--a lobster roll. It comes with a side and he chose French fries (no surprise there). I wanted a mug of their chowder. My wife ordered a pulled pork grilled quesadilla. Even though there were plenty of people in the restaurant, Jenn had it totally under control and our food arrived quickly. I was impressed that they had individual pepper grinders at every table. I love a little chowder with my freshly ground peppers and don't really understand why most places do not have whole pepper grinders. The chowder was very tasty--slightly thicker than I might make myself (but definitely not goopy), plenty of clams (I believe they were chopped quahogs), only a few potatoes (which is always a good sign), and well flavored broth with a hint of applewood smoked bacon (the signature addition to Quahog Republic chowder). They have 3 sizes of lobster rolls at Leeside Pub--a 4 oz, an 8 oz, and the "monsta." Our grandson got the 4 oz and it was perfect for him and he dug right in, picking up a claw and biting in, waiting for his extra crisp fries to cool. I tasted the lobster and the bun and was impressed with both. The lobster tasted clean and fresh--two whole claws and quite a bit of knuckle meat (our grandson is a fan of claw meat), very, very lightly dressed, on a piece of leaf lettuce inside a butter-grilled, split top brioche roll. The lobster roll also came with a container of melted butter for dipping (or pouring I suppose). Our young gourmand really enjoyed his lobster--no fork necessary--and more of his fries than his mother would probably be happy seeing him eat. But that's part of the fun of visiting Nana and Poppy's house. A full belly nap of nearly two and a half hours for our grandson resulted once we got home--giving us some time to rest as well. My wife's pulled pork quesadilla was substantial and well-stuffed with a cheddar and mozzarella cheese blend and the pulled pork. It came with a side of salsa and a side of sour cream. I took a taste for reporting purposes (hehehe) and would certainly order this dish for myself. My wife certainly enjoyed it while she was helping to feed and otherwise entertain our grandson. I should note that they have, by way of description, an authentic looking Cubano on the menu which might be worth exploring on a subsequent visit--slow roasted pork, black forest ham, pickled red onion, chopped pickles, swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli on mustard buttered french roll. Despite the steady flow of customers, many of whom were picking up take-out to bring aboard a departing ferry, Jenn visited our tables throughout the meal to check in on us (though, having an adorable three-year old as a guest is always something of a server magnet). It was a totally memorable meal and for all the right reasons. Certainly a place we will visit again and I would encourage you to do so as well.
