My son loves this place and invited me to join him. Nice, cool looking eatery giving California beach vibes. It was busy when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. We placed our orders and waited a few minutes for the food. The young lady that took our order was very nice and patient as I wasn't sure what to get. My son ordered a burrito, I ordered a carne asada quesadilla with the sour cream and guacamole on the side. Since I've never eaten a fish taco, my son ordered one each. It's a little hole in the wall beach shack and reminds me of a cool little California beach shack. The food is really good and fresh. It's not fancy. Crazy to think I've been going to The Beach House AKA Two Hippies for the last 5 years. Man time flies. This is honestly just a great place to go to grab some Cali-Mexican style tacos and burritos. I'm a huge fan of their bowls, fish taco and loaded quesadillas and I have them in the random rotation that works in my head and is just perfect for my belly. A plus and always a win in my book, they serve a pretty decent portion, and for a reasonable price. The service is great, never had a bad experience, hence the repeat visits over the years. I'm a sucker for not just good food but great customer service. Warning, if you go during lunch you're pretty much going to be standing in a long line. If you want to be smart and efficient, you can always call ahead to place your order :). So we came to this place after seeing it on tik tok and it was worth the hype! Let me start by saying they have plenty of seating, cute photo opportunities and the whole decor is super cute! All of the seating is outdoors but they have bench tables that are covered. To start, we each had one shrimp, one grilled fish, and one fried fish taco. My personal favorite was the shrimp taco. It had a spicy and extremely flavorful pink sauce on top and the shrimp were grilled to perfection. The grilled fish taco was also a second runner up. They grilled their food to perfection. My friends personal favorite was the fried fish taco. The fish was crispy and they give you a decent amount of meat, definitely worth the price!! My friend loved the fried fish taco so much she went and got another. All of their veggies were fresh! We also got the surf and turf rice bowl. It had pico de gallo, shrimp, carne asada, cabbage, lettuce, and feta. It was all piled on top of rice and beans. The combination of the carne asada and rice and beans was delicious. Their carne asada marinade or seasoning was phenomenal. We also had their slushees. You can mix multiple flavors and they're amazing. Super sweet, definitely not for those who don't have a sweet tooth pallet. However, the sugar syrup was not just sitting at the bottom, it was blended to perfection with the slush - amazing. Been wanting to try this place out for awhile now, finally was in the area and I must say that everything I ordered was very flavorful and delicious! Definitely wouldn't want to eat here with our crazy hot heat waves as they only provide outside seating with misters. You really can't beat the prices here. Tacos are 3 for $7, shrimp is extra. Bowls and burritos are $7 except the shrimp. I ordered the chicken bowl with black beans and yes they make their own beans (black or pinto). The bowl is great for low carb option minus the rice. Shrimp quesadilla was superb, it was bursting with flavors and their burritos are massive. All so good and will be back for more definitely since it's so affordable. read more

First time in Phoenix and the first place we ate at was The Beach House. While driving to the hotel we came across the sign along with half a beach van sticking out and a huge smiley face on top of the building. That alone made me turn into the parking lot. This place is a Taco spot and I must say, an amazing one. They have seating outside all around the restaurant and it's mostly covered in shade with fans blowing so for us that was a plus. You walk up the window to place your order and they bring you your food to whatever table you're sitting at. I went with 2 shrimp tacos ($3.50 each) , a chicken taco ($2.50) and a fish taco ($2.50). The fish and shrimp tacos are topped with fresh pico de gallo, shredded cabbage, chipotle mayo, and feta cheese. To drink, I had a pineapple blended lemonade slushy ($3). The wait time was about 5 mins and they brought our food out hot and fresh. When I tell you everything about this food is delicious. From the meat to the ingredients, everything was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed my tacos especially the fish and shrimp ones. The fish was battered which took it up a notch in taste. Last but definitely not least is the pineapple blended lemonade slushy. Idk what they put in this but it's sooooo damn good. That slushy was the best slushy I have ever had. I tried my hardest to save it throughout the day lol. WOW, THOSE PORTIONS FOR THE PRICE POINT! Firstly, the ambiance here is great. I felt like I was at a real beach house based on all of the stickers and signs on the walls! I decided to try some nachos, and for only $6 I was blown away to see that I was served a whole to-go styrofoam container STUFFED FULL of nacho goodness! There was plenty of protein on top, I opted for fried fish. There was plenty of cheese for every chip. I tried all 3 salsas they provide, and all of them were flavorful! The grilled fish and shredded beef were good but there was just so many toppings and sauces on it that I felt like I wasn't really able to enjoy the protein unfortunately. Shredded beef was juicy but lacked flavor almost didn't even know what I was eating. We got the fried fish based on their recommendation but the majority of it was batter :( it seems like the toppings are making up for most of the protein. After driving by this cute spot countless times, we finally decided to stop by to try out their tacos. They have several tables for outdoor dining, as well as misters to help with the heat. We arrived pretty early so we were able to park in the small lot in the back. You order at the front door and when your food is ready they will bring it out to you. We got chicken and pork tacos to try. Standard toppings include rice, beans, pico de Gallo, cheese and cabbage slaw. I also grabbed some red salsa which provided a mild kick. I thought the chicken and pork were excellent. For the price of the taco and the size, you can't go wrong! My partner ordered two chicken tacos with cheese only and still enjoyed them, so you know the meat holds up regardless of toppings. They also have some cute stickers, etc for purchase. Whatever the hippies sell, is usually worth buying. Two hippies beach house, now known as "The Beach House", must lace their burritos with a secret ingredient. Like other things, I left feeling amazing and ready for a nap. The burrito was insanely delicious. I was under the impression that the Beach House did not serve real Mexican food. Authentic Mexican food it is not, but the family owned and operated restaurant knows how to deliver greatness from the minute you walk to the counter. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the fish burrito, which was wrapped nice and tight for the amount of food that was inside. Party on the outside, business on the inside. From a vegetarian perspective, this place has wonderful bowls with nopales (cactus), which I would recommend. You cannot beat the price for the tastiness. Honestly, surprised with myself that I waited this long to leave a review. Beach House is hands down my favorite taco spot in the Valley! My go-to are the pork tacos with the mango habanero sauce. The sauce is the perfect amount of sweet and spicy, it's honestly addicting. I'll also throw in some fried fish tacos to my order, as they are the best I've found! From tacos and burritos to loaded hot dogs, the Beach House simply does not miss! Aside from the delicious food, the building has a super unique vibe, and the owners, John and Kalen, are incredibly nice and treat you like family. I happily consider myself a "usual" at Beach House and hope to keep it that way. Additionally, I've been told the shrimp tacos with chipotle sauce are hands down the best shrimp tacos around! My only complaint is that there aren't 4 more locations around the valley! read more

The BEST fried fish taco I have ever had! They fry the cod perfectly and there's something so addicting about the tortillas that come on those tacos. Anytime I'm in the Phoenix area I come here. Their prices are very affordable considering inflation isn't letting up. The burritos are good too! They call it a stiff burrito because the thing stands up on its own. If you can't eat it all don't worry it'll be good in a few hours even in the fridge because it's so stiff! They wrap their burritos good, not a bs fall apart in your lap wrap.
