I can't say enough about this place! Quirky, great location and super friendly staff, this visit I got the grilled chicken nachos with rice and beans on it and let me say the BEST nachos I've ever had! Chicken was tender juicy and great flavor and I added extra cheese and rice and beans and all of it came out to $13!!!!! That's a deal considering it was two meals for me ! FYI in my opinion just as good re-heated. Will be back dozens of times, FYI plan accordingly parking can be challenging.

The fried fish tacos are the best! We went back for more because they were so great. Outdoor seating only, and the staff was super friendly. Small discount if paying with cash instead of card. Parking can be tight. Pass on the nachos and get tacos or burritos instead.

The most convenient ordering ahead process, perfect dinner for a random Tuesday :) It really is the best burrito stop!

Avoid going during the lunch rush! I came for the shredded beef green chili burrito and while it was worth it, the wait was about an hour so just be prepared. That said, the burritos are stiffy solid (literally and figuratively), the asada is always flavorful, and their signature slushies are a must. I haven't tried the shrimp yet, but it's on my list. Can't get away from the green chili personally lol Parking can be hit or miss during peak hours, but the turnover is pretty quick. The staff are super patient, even when it's busy, which makes ordering a lot less stressful. This spot is great whether you're doing pickup, walking in, or hanging out. There's plenty of outdoor seating and the whole vibe feels like a chill beachy burrito shack. I've been coming here for a while and it never disappoints. Just expect the line to keep getting longer because it's that good.

I had pretty high hopes for Beach House because of the large number of reviews and strong overall rating, but unfortunately my experience didn't quite live up to the hype. The service was actually great. From the moment I ordered, I only waited a couple of minutes before my food was brought out to my table, which I really appreciated. As for the food, it was mid at best. The only things I genuinely enjoyed were the passionfruit lemonade slushy and the chips. I ordered the chips with pico, the passionfruit lemonade slushy, and two shrimp tacos. The tacos were honestly a letdown. The tortillas were thick and the texture just felt off to me, which made them difficult to enjoy. They also came with chipotle mayo, which I'm personally not a fan of. That part is on me for not noticing it on the menu, so I wouldn't necessarily fault the restaurant for that. What really turned me off, though, was the bathroom. I walked in because I needed to use it and immediately walked right back out. It was dirty, had flies flying around, and honestly gave the vibe of a poorly maintained public restroom. That definitely impacted my overall impression of the place. That said, it's clearly a popular spot. The line was long when I arrived and didn't get any shorter after I ordered, so plenty of people seem to love it. For me personally, though, it just didn't hit the mark. Since I was only in town traveling for work, the odds of returning were already low--but after this experience, I can confidently say I wouldn't come back.

Omg, this was my first time trying this place and I'm so glad I did! Everything was really yummy, and the prices were actually super affordable too. The whole place has such a cute, hippie vibe, and I loved that they have outdoor seating with misters, it makes sitting outside way more enjoyable. Their slushy lemonade is seriously SO good! I got the cherry coconut flavor and I'm already craving another one. I'll definitely be coming back!

Surf & turf bowl and Cactus rice bowl

The Beach House Tacos had been on my list for a long time, and I finally got to try it. The menu is quite extensive--tacos, burritos, nachos, rice bowls, and even hot dogs. My husband and I both went for rice bowls: he chose the Surf & Turf, and I ordered the Cactus Veggie Bowl. The portion sizes were on the smaller side, but they felt fair for the price. Nothing is overpriced like some of the more popular taco spots. Flavor-wise, the Surf & Turf was good but nothing extraordinary. I enjoyed my Cactus Veggie Bowl as well. The one downside for both of us was the excessive chipotle mayo--it overpowered the other flavors. We ordered the mango habanero salsa on the side, and that was definitely a highlight--really delicious. Overall, it's not a place I'd crave or go out of my way to revisit, but if you're in the area, it's worth a try. It's good value for money.

I just got back from California yesterday for a quick trip where I had some delicious So Cal taco shop food that I enjoyed. This fun CA inspired beach shack was something I would expect to see at the beach, but there it is on my way to Arcadia :) This spot was solid. $2.50 for a taco, yes please. I happened to place my order online and then went to pick it up. This was my first time trying this restaurant and it was great that I pre-ordered. It was pretty busy when I arrived at 1pm on a Saturday. The prices are great, I had a fish taco, cheese & veggie quesadilla, and a bean & cheese burrito for $15 something. The food was good. I like how it's very casual and unassuming. I took no issue with the items I tried, and I really liked the green and volcano salsa. Good flavor! Next time I'm in the area I would definitely come back and try other items. They have outdoor seating so this is a nice weather spot. If there's any other seating I didn't see it.

Had a weeknight dinner here. Got two grilled fish tacos and one shrimp. Both were phenomenal! The sauce and salsa were great additions as well.

Loaded Pork Quesadilla, Fried Fish Taco, and Cactus Taco

They were very busy when I visited (line out to the side walk) but it went quite fast and after I ordered my food was out in about 10 minutes! I got the fish taco, cactus taco, and loaded pork quesadilla. Fish taco was very fresh (not fishy at all!) and was melt in your mouth tender. The cactus taco was incredible, so fresh tasting and perfectly seasoned I would say it's a must try! the pork quesadilla was tender, cheesy, and full of flavor. I also got the desert pop slush to drink and it was refreshing and a great pairing to the food. I ate so much food but didn't feel gross and bloated so I know it was good quality stuff! The outdoor seating and decor was great and really fit well with the food. Come check this place out!

The Beach House doesn't have ocean views, but it does have food that tastes like a vacation! Prices won't break the bank. we ordered Fish Tacos (Fried to perfection) Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Carne Asada Burrito was surprisingly balanced with every bite. The Fish Bowl was flavorful, fresh, and light enough to pretend I was making healthy choices.nThe service is lightning fast - and considering how long the lines can get, the staff handles it all like seasoned pros. Bottom line - Delicious food. Affordable prices. Speedy service. Total must-try.

So my husband has been wanting to try this place for over 3 years and we finally made it today! This little taco spot is all the rage. The locals visit here and the lines are long. My husband had the grilled fish burrito. The fish was delish, the beans were fire, and loved the slaw guacamole and hot sauce. I tried loaded nachos with green chili shredded beef. The beef had great flavor and the ooey gooey nacho cheese sauce was good. I will definitely get tacos or a burrito next time as I caught myself drooling over my husband's burrito and the people next to us tacos. We sat outside as that's the only downside in the summer- no indoor seating. The misters were helpful to keeping us cool as was the watermelon green apple slushy known as trick or treat slushy. Please try this place when you are in the area. It really is worth the time

Front entry with great mister's to keep you cool!

Food was superb. I got a fish taco and a shrimp taco. My wife got a chicken taco and an Asada taco. We got a rental car at the airport after flying in. Asked the girl leaving where's a good place to get food she immediately said two hippies Beach House the service was excellent we ordered and before you knew it, she came walking out with our tacos, we sat outside in the misters. I love the ambience of the place very friendly. I recommended a must try. I will eat again.

Ask the Community - The Beach House

Is this any good for groups?

It's got a walk up 🌬️ e and a bunch of picnic tables. Depends on how many in your group I would suppose.

How long are wait times?

It only took about 6-7 minutes as food is made fresh there. If it's busy it would be longer.

Is the rice made with chicken stock or vegetable broth?

Is the cabbage slaw mayo or vinegar based?

How far in advance do you order online for lunch?

As far in advance as you want to. It does get busy between 11-1 but if you're 30 minutes away order when you're about 10 minutes out of that makes sense.

Is it byob?

I actually asked the owner! It used to byob but now they've been told they have to complete fence off their restaurant in order to keep it byob. Therefore, as for now, it's not byob any more. 😔

Is the patio dog friendly?

I believe so although I cannot recall seeing any.

Are the tortilla chips non-GMO?

I don't know the answer to that one

Do they sell gift cards?

Yes they sell gift cards now.

First glances inside as ypu walk in, are oh... the place looks so fancy from the exterior but the inside reminds me of a cafeteria... complete with open kitchen and more industrial tables & chairs. But don't let first glances taint you.... the chairs are really comfy and the place is extremely clean and spacious inside. The bar is huge, in length and depth... really this place could do well by adding so many more seats like most other restaurants... but that would take away from the comfort and space you feel. Service was excellent, reallt friendly, helpful with allergies and attentive to refils and empty plates. Food was great, prices are decent. Appetisers we ordered guacamole, one each so no fighting. The size equals the cost, the scoop is a generous ice-cream scoop size, equally echoed by the pics and servers explaintion. But this comes with 2 salasa and a huge bowl of chips. For the meals, 2 tacos, one pork, one fish... plenty of toppings. Very filling Also ordered was the carne asada, huge plate of meat, green chilli, pico salad, beans and rice. There's something so cozy and welcoming about this spot that makes it feel familiar every time we walk through the door. One of my favorite things to order here is the chilaquiles. I usually switch up the meat depending on what I'm craving, and this visit I went with chorizo. The tortilla chips have that perfect balance of crisp edges and just enough sauce to soften them without turning soggy. The chorizo adds a savory, slightly smoky richness, while the toppings bring everything together with fresh, bright flavors. It's the kind of breakfast where every bite has a little crunch, a little spice, and plenty of flavor. I also love ordering a fresh orange juice alongside my coffee--it's become part of my usual routine here. There's something about fresh OJ with a comforting plate of chilaquiles that just makes breakfast feel extra special. The service has consistently been wonderful, and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable without feeling overly formal. After all these years, Presidio Cocina Mexicana remains one of those spots I genuinely enjoy returning to. Good food, great service, and that cozy neighborhood feel that keeps you coming back.

I think I just found my new favorite Mexican restaurant!…read more The ambience here is charming. It's located in what looks like an old house, painted on the outside in a dark red paint. There are roses hanging from the ceiling, exposed brick, and colored lighting (would you notice more as the sun goes down). The wood ceilings really make this place special. There is a small bar in the corner. Don't forget to look up because there is a little door above with the guardian angel and children painted on it, and a couple of stained glass windows. From the minute we walked in, we were meeting with smiling faces. When you first walk in, you are inside the kitchen or at least right next to it. We started with a couple of drinks - a Corona and a Diablito, a sotol cocktail with lots of pureed mango. A basket of chips and a bowl of Green dip or brought to the table, and we were directed to the salsa bar back near the entrance. The salsa bar is fantastic, with several different kinds of salsa. We grabbed what tasted like a creamy tomatillo salsa, a pineapple salsa, a pico de gallo, and a creamy Serrano salsa. They were all so good that we couldn't say which was our favorite. I know that pineapple salsa just sent me over the moon! For an entree, hubby ordered a Sonoran burrito. He said the burrito was delicious, and kept pointing out how good the guacamole and side was. It wasn't especially big or small. I ordered the fajitas (steak and chicken combo) and the minute they came to the table sizzling, both my husband and I were surprised at how large this portion was. It was served with tortillas (you get your choice of corn or flour), black beans, and rice. The black beans were good - - I suppose they just tasted like black beans. I was surprised at how delicious the rice was because it's white and I expected it just to taste like white rice. But there was a creaminess to it and a flavor that I couldn't put my finger on but that I know was really yummy (butter, maybe? Cheese, maybe?? Idk). Good meat in my fajitas was super tender and the veggies were grilled just right. This was a really common really delicious meal. This place had been on my list for a long time and now that I finally been here, I'm kicking myself for not coming here sooner. The food was fantastic, the prices super reasonable, and it's set in a cozy, romantic setting. This place is going to be on a regular rotation for us!

While I've had some phenomenal street tacos in LA and Mexico, I've been wanting to explore more of its diversity, particularly the seafood traditions! We came with a healthy appetite and ordered the Mega Molcajete, El Pulpazo, and Camarones Locos. The complimentary ceviche tostadas were a promising start! Fresh, vibrant, they immediately set my expectations high for quality and freshness of the seafood to follow. The Mega Molcajete was a showstopper. The dish arrived as an extravagant spread of grilled meats, shrimp, octopus, lobster tail, fried fish, and more. Visually spectacular, and with flavors that lived up to its presentation! El Pulpazo deserves its own praise. Octopus is notoriously unforgiving. There's a fine line between beautifully tender and unpleasantly chewy. I've had my share of disappointing renditions to know that an impressive char means very little if the texture isn't right. Fortunately, this was executed well! Fantastically seasoned, with a lovely charred exterior, and cooked to the right doneness! The Camarones Locos were another highlight! We loved the flavors of the sauce! Since we had children with us, our waitress graciously accommodated our request to serve the sauce separately to control the spice level! We also had the Mango Diablo, which provided some much-needed tropical refreshment from both the Arizona heat and the fiery kick of the dishes themselves! A few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. The parking can be tricky, as the lot is rather small (we were fortunate to snag the single remaining spot in the lot). This was also not an inexpensive outing. Our bill (for the aforementioned orders above) came in just under $300 (tax and tip included). That said, I felt the experience justified the splurge!
