We tried a newly opened Sichuan restaurant in Arcadia, and everything we ordered was excellent. We had the pickled mustard green fish (酸菜魚), peppercorn beef (藤椒肥牛), and stir-fried A-choy each dish was full of flavor and very well executed. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and satisfying. The restaurant itself is not very large, but the service was warm and friendly, which made the experience even better. Delicious food, great portions, and welcoming service, highly recommended.

Recently went back and the place was totally empty on a Wednesday night. Little worried this place might close. The male server was polite, not the best English. We got the scrambled eggs with tomatoes which was extremely good, flavorful and a large portion. They didn't have rhe baked avocado I'd been craving though. The rattan chicken was still great. And we got the mapo tofu, it wasnt very good. Tons of bean paste but not much else. So its semi hit and miss with this place, but I still like it.

Definitely not the same as The Barn despite what people are saying. Their menu has changed completely, minus a few items staying the same. A lot of the skewers aren't available anymore. I would say this is a completely new business now. I came here on accident because I was expecting The Barn, and was shocked by the difference when I sat down and looked at the menu. They still do ordering via your phone. We got the calamari and didn't care for it. It's more like strips now instead of legs and rings. Chicken skin skewer is still good. Pork skewer is good. Beef skewer wasn't very good imo, different seasoning than how it was before. Overall I'd say it's definitely different than the business that was previously here. The woman working (perhaps the owner?) was very nice and packaged our leftovers for us. Sadly the food wasn't our favorite so we probably won't be back, especially since the food was pricy too.

Spicy chicken - has French fries in it and an odd sweetness

Remember the Izakaya joint called The Barn that used to be at this location? Same place, new name and concept. Same chongqing chicken, which is one of their stand out dishes. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Located in the same giant block-long strip mall as the Von's in Arcadia along with a ton of other restaurants, parking is a breeze. Thinking it was a totally new restaurant, we found the place pretty empty when we went. It was only when the (chongqing) spicy chicken came out (along with the absolute lack of any changes to the interior design) that we realized this was the same place. The problem this time with the dish (which never was the case before, so maybe there is a new owner or new chef brought in) is everything was sticky and way too sweet. The Spicy Chicken, the kung pao chicken - both oddly too sweet. The pot stickers were decent but more like pan fried gyoza in size. The stir fried string beans were decent. The one dish that really pissed us off was the Dan Dan Noodles. It was a total rip-off. For the price (which isn't cheap) you get a teeny tiny bowl of noodles that is only enough for one person. Literally two people cannot share this dish. I was hoping for a new exceptional Szechuan restaurant and found a mediocre old restaurant trying and failing to establish a new identity. Wouldn't recommend or go back.

Authentic Sichuan flavors with great wok hei! The noodles are worth trying, and they offer party trays for pre-order--perfect for gatherings. Highly recommend

Come here to have dinner after watching movie in AMC on a Friday evening. First time here. Decor is neat and comfortable. Food is good and service attentive. You won't regret coming here.

The food is great! Love the appetizer and the noodles. Big portions with reasonable price too.

    Shredded pork in chili sauce

It's a taste that instantly transports you back to Sichuan, with the spicy and numbing flavors dancing on your tongue. The grilled fish is sizzling and steaming hot, and the roasted duck has that authentic Chongqing feel. The Sichuan pepper beef tongue is heavenly in its spiciness - simply amazing! It was a truly wonderful experience. The service staff were also very attentive and provided excellent care.

The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal.
