Came here for brunch and we were not let down! We did the $15 bottomless mimosas and they were great! We sat at the bar and the bartender made sure we were always filled up! The vibe was cool as they had a DJ playing music but it wasn't too loud which was great. The menu is big and lots of options to chose from. I got the chicken fried steak and this dish was a must get! It was huge! The gravy was insanely delicious. It had chorizo, corn, and sausage in it and was so good!!! I ate the entire thing. First time trying That Meetball Place in Patchogue, it was great! My family and I were searching the town for a warm place to eat. I really wanted somewhere that had soup and although they're known for the meatballs, we took a chance on this place. My dad and I both had the Italian Wedding Soup. It has one big classic meatball in it- the broth was delicious and the meatball was perfect. We both really enjoyed it. My mom liked her butternut squash soup as well, very thick and tasty. I had the eggplant parm skillet which came with three eggplant meatballs over pasta with red sauce. I absolutely loved it, it was cooked perfectly. This place is disgusting and homophobic Came home from out of state for the week to see friends. Wanted to have a night out and thought this place would be fun so my partner and my 2 friends went. I WAS DISAPPOINTED BEYOND BELIEF AND HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED. They took mine and my partners IDs to the back because they were presumed fake. (I have a real ID and they have a standard license) the manager returned with my ID bent beyond repair and some flimsy excuse about how they can't serve alcohol to people who live out of state. Upon reading more reviews it seems they're really picky choosy about who the want to serve to. It's 2022 there's no excuse to be that way. read more

After my granddaughters recital we took the family there for lunch. Our reservations were for 2:30 and were only offered a brunch menu. While the food was excellent there was no time designation for brunch, we all thought were would be ordering off the main meal menu. Our server was great and the drinks were awesome. Love love love this place. It's a totally different place depending on the time of day and day of the week that you go so here's my review for all below: 1) lunch: excellent casual little lunch spot. They have high tops and booths, the food is great and perfect for a lunch date or catching up as friends. 2) dinner: great for dinner with friends or dinner date. They have lots of beers on tap, wine and mixed drinks, and you don't have to get a meatball sandwich if you don't want, they have lots of great apps (especially the giant pretzel) and other meals that aren't meat balls. 3) bar scene/ night out: this place turns into a great bar scene after dinner. Lots of drinks, a really long bar, high tops for standing at as well as booths, they usually have a band at night on weekends, and they have a garage like door that opens in the summer. The food is all great here. They are famous for the make your own meatball thing where you choose the type of meatball (chicken, traditional, veggie, etc), and then choose your sauce (red, white, panchetta cream, etc) and how you want it (in baguette, over pasta, plain in a bowl, etc). The Mac and cheese, pretzel and all the apps are also amazing and getting these and sharing with friends with a few drinks is usually my go-to! read more

This place has been hit or miss since day one; Every time I think I like it, there's another reason to sway my opinion the opposite way. The first couple times I went years ago, everything was fine and I had found a couple things I loved. (The ball buster hero/ pancetta cream/ the buffalo chicken meatball slider/ campfire milk shake - schlaag) The problem is inconsistency, even their downfalls are inconsistent; if it's not their crap service it's their quality of food. You can go here month to month and find something you liked last time doesn't taste the same this time. I stopped going here a couple years ago already due to a "final straw" type experience. The four of us waited and waited and waited to be seated as in the hostesses own words "sorry I forgot about you guys" so we settled for the high tops in front. Waiting another 15 minutes to get menus and another 15 to see a sign of employees near our table, I grabbed the manager who said he'd get a server to us shortly; 20 minutes passed and we finally had enough. We left that day in the summer of 2014 and didn't come back to use the $50 gift card until about 3 months ago. Let me tell you how that went: not well, the meal was better than expected but the device was almost as bad, and when we sat the MOD assured us we'd be fine using that gift card. When her shift changed and the other MOD came over when paying our bill, they didn't want to accept it. The milk shake was nowhere near as good and the beer selection is still trash. The entire staff couldn't care less about helping you out. Nothing on the menu had changed in the last few years yet the flavors are hit or miss and never consistent. Still boggles my mind how someone could create an entire restaurant around meatballs. My first time attending this place was to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were a large party of about 13. Upon walking in my boyfriend and I were trying to find our party. The hostess who helped us find our table was dressed super casual and was just standing by window so I assumed she was a patron. It only occurred to me that she worked there when She said I'll take to your party. Meatball make your workers known please! The party room in the back was nice and open but our table was literally crammed into a corner and the chairs were very uncomfortable and tight. The entire night I kept bumping into the guy next to me. The menu is also pretty confusing. Wasn't sure what to order ended up going with the 3 cheese ravioli skillet. The food was really good! I loved my meal. I'm just not a meatball type of person. If it was up to me I would never choose this place on my own. Hello friends, yelpers, and Patchogue Meetball fans. My friends and I decided to get together in Patchogue Village for my BIG JIM BIRTHDAY Bash Bar Crawl. A big Yelp Thanks to my Yelp friend Donna C. for recommending this cool place. Walking by I could see that the bar was loaded with lots of folks, everyone looked like they were having a good time. We pulled up to the main bar to start the festivities. Sunday Night Football was on and the meetball Place had some excellent football specials. We started out with some Brews, I got the pumpkin ale in a Mason glass and my friends all selected from the Brew menu. My pumpkin ale was really really tasty. The Mason jar was was rimmed with a cinnamon dust, and the small glass of cold brew went down like a single shot. Yum. Next..the NFL special tater tots came quickly to the bar where we were. Oh man they were really good and piping hot, so cheesy. A delicious whipped horseradish dressing accompanied them. This place really knows how to handle its meatballs I can't wait to try some of the other balls here like the lobster and marinara. We really enjoyed our stay at the meatball place and can't wait to bring the crew back again. Well it's time to get going on our BIG BIRTHDAY Bar Crawl. Another iteration of a meatball restaurant with a pun-y name. I did like that this place had some more creative entrees featuring meatballs than other meatball places I've seen in the past. We started with the garlic asiago giant pretzel ($12). It was presented to us hanging from a banana hanger and definitely qualified to be called a giant pretzel. The pretzel was pretty good and had a nice kick to it from the asiago. It came with three dipping sauces, with the pancetta cream being the best by far. It tasted almost like a Canadian cheddar cheese soup with the nice flavor of bacon. It went so well with the asiago pretzel. The other two sauces were okay. The marinara was as expected and the cheddar cheese sauce was a bit thin and needed more flavor. I had "The Tuscan" ($16) as my entree, since it was one of the more creative things on the menu. It came with four lamb meatballs over a bed of risotto, with roasted tomatoes, grilled artichoke hearts, and a lemon herb sauce. The lamb meatballs themselves were pretty good. They had a pleasant gaminess and lamby flavor, with a nice texture. The other components were the issue. The risotto was undercooked and "gluey". It needed another five to seven minutes in a pan with some lamb stock. The tomatoes and artichoke hearts needed to be cooked much harder to give the dish some char. I like the thinking behind the creation of this dish, but the execution just wasn't there. I don't remember the server's name, but she was very nice and attentive to the table's needs. My buddy Hans ROTD brought me here. When I joined the military, I left Patchoc-gey in the dust. After the movie theater where I saw "Porkys" closed, the town became a ghost town. The newest place is That Meetball Place. (What's with the silly name??I tell my grandfather and he says What is it, foosball?) If you think your just gonna waltz in here and get a (4) top on a Friday/Saturday night, forget it. The bar is packed, the tables are packed and its at least a one hour wait. With my reservation in hand for (4), at the last minute we were a party of two. it's all good, they still sat us on time. We started with a Burratta salad, homemade cheese that when you cut it, it just oozed goodness. An amazing good salad for two. The meatballs we ordered were fun: Chicken, Mediterranean with tzatziki sauce, original and spicy Moroccan meatballs. We also ordered a side of Polenta that was like eating Elmer's glue. I'm so not a fan. Everything else was pretty fun, we had beer and meatballs. Both of us put some fine tasty balls in our mouths. Last night we came back to give it another shot ( third times a charm ) right ! The service from Kyle was perfect as well as the food. Usually my husband and I grab brunch at Patchogue Buttermilk thats our goto place... but the wait was 45 mins today and we were going to wait but we saw the meatball place sign BRUNCH , bottomless mimosas 10-2 pm Sat-Sun I was sold.. and it's not just balls here the short rib egg roll app is delish the bacon cheddar taters so yummy. A restaurant that circles around the concept of meatballs is something you don't see every day. Being a California kid it gives you something different to try. The atmosphere of the place reminds me of a Yard House or some type of gastropub. Inside is dim with a modern look to it and a couple big tvs to decorate the wall with some sports playing. We ordered the big Bavarian onion pretzel and it was great. Crunchy and toasted, it was accompanied with 3 dipping sauces. Bbq, mustard, and cheese. For my main entree, I had the meatball rigatoni with spicy marinara and some ricotta. It was delicious. The marinara sauce definitely brought some heat that elevated the flavor to give it a kick. Ricotta provided the smooth calming taste on my buds. When it came out, I thought it was going to be small. In actuality, I wasn't able to finish it by how full I was. I would give negative 10 stars if I could. Amidst a casual night out with friends I give the bouncer my VERY real out of state id. He immediately snaps it in half and tells me it's fake because it snapped. It seemed as though he intentionally snapped it and assumed it was fake because it was out of state, without even taking a second to see that it was real. Supervisor came over and confirmed it scanned but the bouncer said "fake ones do too". I asked how I am supposed to travel home with my ID in two pieces and he said "I mean you can tape it, but I wouldn't accept a taped ID". Zero remorse. In an industry that's built on tourism it's a shame I would be denied because I didn't have a "picture of my passport". I thought bars weren't supposed to accept pictures as identification? Makes you think how many people that are actually underage could be inside simply because they have a "photo". I got police documentation that I was in the clear but what a night ruining experience. It's one thing to do your job which I appreciate, but it's another to handle it in an accusatory "oh well" manner. Wahoo! Finally a reliable zoodle. I ordered the eggplant meatball with marinara over zoodles and overall was very satisfied. The eggplant balls were a little bready for me but I assumed they needed help sticking together since they weren't meat. But I loved the flavor and I'd like to try another meatball next time. And I'd get the zoodles again! They did a great job with those. As far as drinks go it's pretty much the same thing you'll find anywhere else in the area. Standard bar and tap list. Drunken patrons making a scene chasing away patrons with their antics and despite the loud cursing, singing, dancing and yes actually jumping on furniture the lovely Lindsey and Zachary kept being served because they knew the waitress. My partner and I came here for a hendricks gin event where we learned how to mix a few drinks with the popular gin. Not only did we enjoy fantastic concoctions of our own making, but we snacked on some goodies provided by the meetball place. We enjoyed a variety of meatballs, tater tots in horseradish sauce, a few flatbreads, mac and cheese.... but my absolute favorite out of all of these was the turkey meatball with pesto. Yum! It's a pretty nice place with a nice laid-back vibe, but I would recommend maybe amongst a few friends - not dinner with your family. Unfortunately, they do turn into a club after 10 on weekends. The African american bouncer working the night of 10/26/19: I waited on the line for the girls bathroom for 20+ minutes as the bouncer let girls cut if he thought they were pretty and he kicked out any girl who got mad about it. Arrogant a**hole. I was as patient as possible on that line and made no fuss. Finally it was my turn to go and said bouncer is waving me into the bathroom as some girl who claims to work here tries to cut me. I said nothing and minded my business. The bouncer waved me into the stall and told her she needed to wait, but this employee of the Meetball Place put her arm in front of my throat to prevent me from going into the bathroom. Guess who got kicked out? Me. I was dragged out to be more specific. I told the bouncer I could walk myself out and he said, in front of all the other bouncers at the back door, that he wanted to smack me. They all heard it. What disgusting behavior. I will never support this business and hopefully anyone who reads this review and cares about domestic violence doesnt go here either. I deserve an apology from this place and that piece of garbage bouncer who doesnt deserve his job & should not be permitted to work around women.
