"Sad" See Ewe with Egg & soft tofu $12.50
Phoebe L.

Been coming to Thai Spice since 2010! Ordered to-go today because I was craving Pad See Ewe and needed a quick option. Loved being able to order from the Toast App and pick up my order from the fast and friendly staff! It was quite busy in the plaza so I had to circle a bit to find parking, but I liked how people were sitting on their patio, enjoying the beautiful day and their delicious meal. The only reason I docked a star was because some of my noodles had clumped together and they didn't soak up the yummy sauce. I called it, "Sad See Ewe". Overall, still a solid meal for the price!! PRO TIP: Check out their lunch special combo or their Monday & Thursday deals!!

I ordered Pad Kee Mao to go. To my surprise, it had no basil and they put lettuce instead. The lettuce didn't match and gave it an odd flavor. Staff service was okay, but there was no smile and no greeting. Overall, the food and service left me disappointed. Basil is the spirit of this dish.

Food: Pad See Ew with Chicken (Spice: Medium) Price: $12.50 (not including tax) Overall: I used to come here a lot during my year at UCI! They do $7 Pad Thai (Chicken or Tofu) on Mondays but I was craving the Pad See Ew. The spice wasn't actually spicy, just a tiny kick and each bite made me crave for more. Solid spot to go for Thai Food!

Goo Lawd this is the best mango sticky rice I've had yet...... and I get it everywhere I go. Service was great! And quick! I wish I lived closer. I got the grapow fried tofu and it was delicious! It's hard for me to get very, very spicy dishes so I figured this place was up to the challenge. I asked for the 5/5 level spicy and it was great!! I may even ask for extra Thai spicy next time. Quality meal, and an affordable price. I Wish I didn't live so far from Irvine or I would come here regularly! I never got a photo of my Thai food. Maybe that's a good thing! It was so delicious I inhaled it before I could get the shot!

The best pad Thai I've ever had. I've been a customer for 30 years and I've tried many different places only to find it disappointing.

Visited Thai Spice in person today for the first time. My parents often get takeout from here but I have never been myself. For starters, the lady that was working the cashier was very friendly and welcoming, with a wonderful attitude. We ordered the pad thai with chicken, the fried rice with beef, and the Pad Kee Mow with beef as well. Thai food is pretty spicy as is but we went with spicy level for all these. The food was delicious and very flavorful. It comes in takeout containers but you can choose to dine in. They give you a fair portion for the price and very much worth it. Clean environment and well maintained!

STOP. Please save your money and appetite. It tastes as bad as it looks. Unfortunately this is nothing near to authentic Thai food or even Thai food.

Just No! Firstly, the food doesn't taste fresh and quality of ingredients quite low. We ordered Green Curry Beef. The beef was tough and the sauce tasted like they poured a cup of water in it. Then, the Pad See Ewe, again with tough beef. It tasted like it had been sitting around since the morning. Definitely not freshly cooked. Then, there is the Pineapple Fried Rice. This had a funky chicken. The rice was dry and most definitely not fresh and the chicken tasted old and reheated. Thai Spice what makes you think you can collect premium prices for the low standard of food that you serve?

Lots of mixed reviews, but don't knock it 'til you try it :)! Hungry and not wanting to leave the house, I decided to order delivery. Random fact: This is the 2nd time in my life where I've ordered food for delivery (other than pizza). For my food, I ordered their Pad Thai w/ Beef. I've been on a Pad Thai binge since I'm addicted to the flavor and the noodles. The dish normally has a tangy flavor to it which I like, and I also love the thin noodles that are used. How was it? Pad Tai w/ Beef: A warm delivery! So I suppose you can say I ate it while it was fresh. Opted for no bean sprouts or green onions because I don't like them with this dish. The thin noodles and flavor were just what I was looking for and expected. The beef, though there wasn't much, was pretty good. The noodles weren't long strands, they seemed to be cut shorter. I didn't mind this as it made it much easier to eat, and I was definitely not in the mood to twirl my noodles like spaghetti. I requested a medium spice level and it was perfect! The food arrived in a timely manner, no complaints there. I can't speak for the service as I didn't interact with anyone at the restaurant, but maybe next time I'll dine in to find out!

Great service, greeted with a smile every time I go! Food is exceptional, plenty of tables to sit and eat at.

*DOORDASH* Not good. Indeed it was spicy though the portion is lacking. Got the beef salad (not much lettuce or beef), chicken egg roll ($2.59 for one and it's HUGE, but I got a chard of bone inside). Won't order again.

Shaw K.

Decent Thai takeout, Drunken Noodles were alright, wish the portion was a little bigger. Parking can be tough as the plaza is on the smaller side. Price was about $14 per dish. Service is on point and prompt.

The atmosphere is lovely and makes it so easy to settle in, enjoy your meal, and turn a simple outing into a whole experience. The food? Delicious, beautifully presented, and absolutely camera ready! Our table was filled with so many tempting dishes the kind of spread that makes you want to take a picture of everything before digging in! But what really made the visit special was the staff. Everyone was so sweet and attentive, checking in throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed. That warm, thoughtful service makes such a difference. And a practical detail that deserves its own shout-out: plenty of parking! Such a bonus when you just want to arrive, relax, and enjoy good food. Great food, lovely vibes, and a team that makes you feel welcome this place checks all the boxes. Definitely a spot I'd happily come back to!

Needless to say they did not disappoint when it came to food and flavor. NEP is a modern take on mainly Vietnamese and other Asian foods. Our party of 6 were seated quite quickly with a reservation considering how packed it was inside. They had many seats and were really spacious and accommodating. We ordered the Squid Mango Salad, Crab Toast, Filet Mignon Bahn Mi, and Seafood Tom Kha Pasta. The Crab Toast was the one I was looking forward to the most and was absolutely exceeded any of our expectations. It was so savory, but not too salty, and amazingly flavorful. If you're a fan of seafood as my family as this is a must order. I also couldn't get enough of the salad. It was so fresh tasting and light and added a good balance to the rest of our meal. One of my family members loved the Bahn Mi for being different than any other he's tried. It comes as this deconstructed banh mi with the meat coming on this cast iron skillet to which you can put in the fresh bread roll. Definitely a must try. Everything else was equally as delicious, but if you were to only visit once, I think the crab toast and bahn mi are a for sure menu items to try. Service was very quick considering how busy it was and they gave us a complimentary dessert when we told them about my cousin's birthday!! I love the modern atmosphere to the restaurant. I went during the day time so I was able to see a lot of the decor and layout properly. Felt like a perfect brunch spot. It did feel very hustle and bustle considering its popularity so if you're looking for quiet, this wouldn't be the place. Parking is ample and stress free because of the lot it is located in. This has been a very warm welcome for me to the Kei Concept restaurants and cafes, so much so I am willing to make the drive out again for NEP Cafe or any of the other Kei Concept spots. I highly recommend it even if it's just for a one time visit, it's definitely worth it.

We ordered the mapo tofu with beef, kung pao chicken, and the dongpo pork belly with preserved vegetables. I was impressed with the authentic flavors and quality. The pork belly melts in your mouth exactly as it should. Mapo tofu delivered the ideal mala (numbing and spicy) kick that wasn't overly spicy. As for the kung pao chicken, at first I thought the peanuts seemed a bit underdone but the flavor was so aromatic. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Would be happy to come back!

Some menu items are being discontinued, my rice came out cold, and a few of the decor choices seemed a little tacky. Meizhou is a great option for special occasions because the interior feels upscale and is one of the nicer-looking restaurants in the area. Today, we ordered the Sichuan Cold Noodles, Vegetable Fried Rice, Angus Beef Filet With Black Pepper, Chicken Pot-Stickers (six pieces), Dongpo Pork Belly With Preserved Vegetable, Garlic Stir-Fried A Choy and white rice. Unfortunately, the white rice came out cold, almost as if it had been sitting in the refrigerator. Thankfully, our server replaced it immediately, but it was still an odd experience. My favorite dish here is the Angus Beef Filet With Black Pepper. The meat is high quality, and the flavors are perfectly balanced. Meizhou is also well-known for its duck. We didn't order it today, but the half duck is always another great option! The meat practically melts in your mouth, which is one of my favorite things about it. Service has always been hit or miss here, so I think your experience really depends on which server you get. I love the food overall, although some dishes feel overpriced for the portion sizes. That said, the quality of the food is generally great. One last thing I noticed today, which isn't a huge deal but stood out to me, was a cup in the women's restroom containing a hairbrush, toothpaste and a toothbrush for customers to use. For a restaurant with such an upscale atmosphere, this felt a little out of place and tacky. Overall, Meizhou is definitely worth trying if you love duck or are looking for a nicer restaurant for a special occasion. I still enjoy the food here, but I'm curious to see how things change under the new ownership!

We tried the signature garlic noodles, katsu chicken, and kimchi slaw. And a Thai Iced Tea. All were excellent, well-prepared, and speak to a well-organized and high-quality kitchen and a discerning chef. Suggestions: Place an email contact link on your website for more feedback. Respond to every yelp review - even the negatives - and be pleasant and thankful for the feedback even if they are unreasonably negative....this is an opportunity for management to be seen and heard. It gives a positive personality to an otherwise cold and neutral website. Expand on the "about" section of website and make comment on preparation....no seed oils, organic produce whenever possible, sourcing of chicken and pork, etc. People want to see that you're paying attention to healthy preparation and sourcing. Try "Poached Kitchen" across the street...look at their sourcing and labels of condiments. It's a challenge - this location is surrounded with apartments and hotels....you have a large potential audience but do they know you're here? How much would you give in incentives to have them try you once? My reviews on YELP typically draw hundreds of views within 2-3 days. We'll see.
