"Sad" See Ewe with Egg & soft tofu $12.50
Phoebe L.

Been coming to Thai Spice since 2010! Ordered to-go today because I was craving Pad See Ewe and needed a quick option. Loved being able to order from the Toast App and pick up my order from the fast and friendly staff! It was quite busy in the plaza so I had to circle a bit to find parking, but I liked how people were sitting on their patio, enjoying the beautiful day and their delicious meal. The only reason I docked a star was because some of my noodles had clumped together and they didn't soak up the yummy sauce. I called it, "Sad See Ewe". Overall, still a solid meal for the price!! PRO TIP: Check out their lunch special combo or their Monday & Thursday deals!!

I ordered Pad Kee Mao to go. To my surprise, it had no basil and they put lettuce instead. The lettuce didn't match and gave it an odd flavor. Staff service was okay, but there was no smile and no greeting. Overall, the food and service left me disappointed. Basil is the spirit of this dish.

Food: Pad See Ew with Chicken (Spice: Medium) Price: $12.50 (not including tax) Overall: I used to come here a lot during my year at UCI! They do $7 Pad Thai (Chicken or Tofu) on Mondays but I was craving the Pad See Ew. The spice wasn't actually spicy, just a tiny kick and each bite made me crave for more. Solid spot to go for Thai Food!

The best pad Thai I've ever had. I've been a customer for 30 years and I've tried many different places only to find it disappointing.

Goo Lawd this is the best mango sticky rice I've had yet...... and I get it everywhere I go. Service was great! And quick! I wish I lived closer. I got the grapow fried tofu and it was delicious! It's hard for me to get very, very spicy dishes so I figured this place was up to the challenge. I asked for the 5/5 level spicy and it was great!! I may even ask for extra Thai spicy next time. Quality meal, and an affordable price. I Wish I didn't live so far from Irvine or I would come here regularly! I never got a photo of my Thai food. Maybe that's a good thing! It was so delicious I inhaled it before I could get the shot!

Visited Thai Spice in person today for the first time. My parents often get takeout from here but I have never been myself. For starters, the lady that was working the cashier was very friendly and welcoming, with a wonderful attitude. We ordered the pad thai with chicken, the fried rice with beef, and the Pad Kee Mow with beef as well. Thai food is pretty spicy as is but we went with spicy level for all these. The food was delicious and very flavorful. It comes in takeout containers but you can choose to dine in. They give you a fair portion for the price and very much worth it. Clean environment and well maintained!

Just No! Firstly, the food doesn't taste fresh and quality of ingredients quite low. We ordered Green Curry Beef. The beef was tough and the sauce tasted like they poured a cup of water in it. Then, the Pad See Ewe, again with tough beef. It tasted like it had been sitting around since the morning. Definitely not freshly cooked. Then, there is the Pineapple Fried Rice. This had a funky chicken. The rice was dry and most definitely not fresh and the chicken tasted old and reheated. Thai Spice what makes you think you can collect premium prices for the low standard of food that you serve?

STOP. Please save your money and appetite. It tastes as bad as it looks. Unfortunately this is nothing near to authentic Thai food or even Thai food.

Great service, greeted with a smile every time I go! Food is exceptional, plenty of tables to sit and eat at.

Decent Thai takeout, Drunken Noodles were alright, wish the portion was a little bigger. Parking can be tough as the plaza is on the smaller side. Price was about $14 per dish. Service is on point and prompt.

Pad Kra-Prow and Pad Thai

Thai Spice was the hero of the night for our last minute dinner party for 80 people! They provided delicious, quality food in under 45 minutes--I was so impressed with their food and service. We had the pad Thai, egg rolls, basil stir fry, stir fry with green beans with chicken, beef, and tofu. I spoke with Leela on the phone and she was so kind and accommodating and helpful with the menu selection. 10/10 would eat again!

All week we've been let down by other restaurants, but this place completely turned things around! Hands down, it has the best chicken chow mein, spicy shrimp, fried rice, green beans, and fried wontons I've ever had. Even the Thai tea was amazing! The only downside was the boba--it was a bit too hard--but aside from that, everything was perfect. The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is very clean. Highly recommend!

Lots of mixed reviews, but don't knock it 'til you try it :)! Hungry and not wanting to leave the house, I decided to order delivery. Random fact: This is the 2nd time in my life where I've ordered food for delivery (other than pizza). For my food, I ordered their Pad Thai w/ Beef. I've been on a Pad Thai binge since I'm addicted to the flavor and the noodles. The dish normally has a tangy flavor to it which I like, and I also love the thin noodles that are used. How was it? Pad Tai w/ Beef: A warm delivery! So I suppose you can say I ate it while it was fresh. Opted for no bean sprouts or green onions because I don't like them with this dish. The thin noodles and flavor were just what I was looking for and expected. The beef, though there wasn't much, was pretty good. The noodles weren't long strands, they seemed to be cut shorter. I didn't mind this as it made it much easier to eat, and I was definitely not in the mood to twirl my noodles like spaghetti. I requested a medium spice level and it was perfect! The food arrived in a timely manner, no complaints there. I can't speak for the service as I didn't interact with anyone at the restaurant, but maybe next time I'll dine in to find out!

The finger foods was Asian‑inspired, with flavors like black sesame, curry, and other creative twists that made each bite feel unique. Every piece was thoughtfully made, rich, and decadent without feeling repetitive, and the presentation was beautiful across the board. It definitely felt like a more elevated, modern take on afternoon tea. The tea itself, however, fell a bit short for me. I ordered a non‑caffeinated chrysanthemum tea, which unfortunately didn't have much depth or flavor. My friend's Darjeeling was better, but still not as rich or complex as I've had elsewhere. Given how strong the Asian inspiration is in the food, it would've been nice to see more thoughtful decaf tea options in that same direction, like decaf sencha, barley tea, or kuromamecha, to better match the concept. Price: The afternoon tea service is prix fixe at around $45 per person, which includes a curated set of savory bites, desserts, and a pot of tea. For the quality and creativity of the food, the price feels pretty reasonable compared to other OC tea services, though the tea itself didn't quite meet the same level as the food. Ambiance: The space is bright, warm, and inviting, with a nice amount of natural sunlight coming in that makes it feel cozy rather than stuffy. There are subtle Asian design elements woven into the décor, giving it a modern, slightly upscale feel without being overly formal. It's a great spot to catch up with friends and linger over tea. Service: Service was good, friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Even during a busy service, staff remained kind and approachable, which added to the overall relaxed vibe. Parking: Parking can take a bit of effort. Since it's located on a busy street in Orange, you may need to circle around the roundabout or park a little farther away and walk over. Not impossible, but definitely something to plan for, especially on weekends.

Tonight happened to be around USC graduation, so there were quite a few groups celebrating, and the crowd definitely felt younger and more energetic. The hostess was very nice, we were seated pretty quickly, and our waiter was attentive and helpful with questions. As someone Chinese, I would say TAO is a good place for Asian-inspired food with a fusion twist. It is the kind of restaurant where everyone can usually find something they like, no matter their background or taste. Our favorites tonight were the fried rice and the lobster pad Thai. Of course, taste buds change over time, but overall it was a very pleasant experience. By the time we left around 9:15, the vibe was just starting to pick up. We joked that we are old people and had to go home -- but have fun, youngsters.

I got the bone broth with noodles because the broth looked way too good to pass up, and honestly... the broth absolutely lived up to the hype. So rich, flavorful, and exactly the kind of thing I wanted to keep drinking forever. The actual noodles and beef were a little underwhelming though. At one point the noodles kind of gave instant noodle vibes, which felt like a missed opportunity because the broth deserved better. I almost wish there were different noodle options or honestly just less noodles because I mostly just wanted to sip the broth. We also tried the ube gnocchi, which sounded amazing in theory, but it ended up being a little too creamy for me and I did not get as much ube flavor as I was hoping for. The real standout besides that incredible broth was the chicken wings. So crispy, so tender, and ridiculously flavorful. Absolutely would order those again.

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.
