My favorite Thai spot in LB. Tasty food and great service whether that's dine in or for pick up!

Used to come here al the time as a kid and it's still one of my fave Thai spots. The lunch/dinner special are great they come with the main dish rice(white or fried) a salad or egg roll and a drink, I get Thai tea. My favorite dishes are coconut seafood soup, it's very lemony which I like. I'm also a fan of the basil eggplant, pad thai , pad see ew and egg rolls. Very hole in the wall place but you get good food for a great price. read more

Seafood Tom yum is one of the best I've had. They're spicy beef salad is also sooooo good. My favorite Thai place in long beach.

I decided to try this restaurant out because it was close by my home. I was unfortunately let down by the taste. The food just lacked flavor in my opinion. Temperature of the food was great and texture was good, but no flavor in the dishes. The service was fantastic, but the food missed the mark. Restaurant is very clean and your standard Thai dinning room setup for dine in. Other people really love this place based on the reviews so I recommend you try as well if your in the area. read more

We have been getting take outs from Thai Sky for many years and they are always super delicious. Everything on the menu is good, I've never been disappointed with any items at all. Been coming here for years. They have the most flavorful tom yum in the area. It's not filled with veggies and tomatoes and it is super flavorful. They are a bit stingy with the protein, but, I can overlook that with how great the broth tastes. Their thai boat noodle soup broth is watered down and not what you find in other places. The fried rice is too greasy for my style, but a spoonful is still enjoyable. My all time favorite is the spicy crab noodles. I cannot explain how amazingly delicious that dish, especially with a lemon (yes lemon) slice squeezed on top. Their spicy wings are also delicious. You would never know about this spot if you don't search for it! Thai Sky is so small but oh, is it mighty. I can never get enough of their food and they are the sweetest people ever. Their customer service is amazing, and I've had some of the best Thai food here. Ultimate favorites are the spicy noodle, Panang curry, and the pad thai. Their Thai iced tea is so good and it's a place I can count on every single time. Their spicy curry rice is to die for!!! Pick up is available but they also deliver! I've called right before their last delivery and ask if it's available and they were really able to accommodate. I used to really like this place. We had a craving for some Thai, but it was after 8pm, so we called to find out what time they close. "9:30" So we drive over and get there at about 9:00. The "open" sign was displayed but the door was locked. They open the door and ask if we want take out; we explain that we wanted to eat there and we called earlier. So they let us in and tell us that the kitchen is closing in 15 minutes. We hurry up and order, get our food (veggie pad thai dinner specials- vegetarian, no fish sauce or egg), and the eggrolls are still frozen in the middle! That's not the end of the evenings failure. I ask for some chili sauce and lime. They bring out the chili sauce and a little saucer of lemon juice (maybe they thought they could trick me into thinking it was lime by not giving me an actually slice of the fruit?). A few minutes later, someone else comes to take the chili sauce away (so they can put it on the counter 5 feet away for tomorrow; I guess that was an urgent matter that couldn't wait until I was even halfway through my meal). The whole experience was just really disappointing and could easily have been avoided if they had given us a more accurate idea of when they close. We felt like they were all staring at us and trying to rush us out the door the whole time. How did they make us feel this way? Oh, just little things like they were trying to clear our dishes before we were even done, they brought the check and asked how we were going to pay when they brought out the food. I am usually really nice to restaurant staff, but at one point, the girl was asking if she could take my glass, as I was drinking from it. I had to say, "Is it okay if I finish it?" Seriously. I am not expecting superb service here, but really, where is this kind of service acceptable? Next time, just tell us you are only open for takeout, or at least wait until we are done eating to swoop down and clear the table. Oh wait, that's right. I don't think there will be a next time. I'll be at Tiny Thai instead. read more

I went t for lunch while in the area looking for good Thai noodles. I ordered pad Thai. It was ok a little less than alright. They lacked flavor. I asked for veggies and no meat. I always just expect more than 2 broccoli florets the thin corn sliced two pieces of thick onion that I could not eat. The server was accommodating to my vegan lifestyle and told me the order that had meat products which I appreciated hence the 3 stars. The food came out of the kitchen warm. read more

Ordered delivery from here. For starters I don't appreciate them charging me an extra dollar after my order was paid for. I thought that was weird. When my food arrived I noticed an extra beverage that I didn't order. I'm guessing the extra dollar was for that. I orders the Pad Thai chicken special that comes with an egg roll. The chicken pad Thai was delicious. The fried rice on the side was ok. I've had better. I also ordered the coconut soup "Tom Kha" soup with shrimp. Good amount of shrimp. The soup was tasty. My Thai Tea was tasty as well. I did also order a Papaya Salad. That was a bummer. It wasn't its usual tangy, spicy self. Nothing like what I've had before. The hubby and I decided to try this place to satisfy my craving for a seafood soup. We called and placed an order to go. I ordered the seafood soup & the hubby ordered the duck soup. They gave us a grand total & told us it would be a 40 minute wait. That's fine, given the circumstances of COVID, we get it. Once it hit the 40 minute mark, we left to go pick up our food. Just upon arriving to their location, we received a call from the restaurant (assuming they were telling us our order was ready). Nope. They called to tell us they had ran out of duck 40 minutes after we placed our order. Very quickly my hubby had to decide that he wanted the wonton soup & they provided an estimate of a 5 minute wait. Well. 5 minutes turned into 30 minutes & we finally received our order. We received plenty of apologies but tbh a free drink would have been more appreciated. With already a bad impression in our minds, we went home to eat our dinner. I unload our to go bag & reveal what seems like a side order of my seafood soup. (I guess they don't play when they Call it a small) lol. And my hubby's large size of wonton soup seemed filling. Again, I'm a little "hangry" at the portion sizes, the wait time, & the lack of menu items...so I was expecting the worst. To my surprise.... IT WAS DELICIOUS. My soup, his soup, everything. Chef's kiss. Despite being so angry prior to eating, the flavor certainly washed away any negative thought haha. I will definitely be going back!!! Maybe we just ordered our food too close to closing. I'd recommend ordering before a dinner rush if you reaaaally want your dish before it sells out. Everyone knows you love your hot Thai but don't go reading more into the menu than is actually there. Free (again) at last, Jon took me to a local favorite of ours and we tried something new, the lime chili fillet, simply pointing to the photo from the Press Telegram cover shot and saying "Make it hot!" And it was so fucking good...my lips runneth over (dang drugs). Nevertheless, we would both highly recommend this plate...absolutely mouth-watering delicious (see photos). In one bite, the debacle of our lunch at Pizzaria Mozza was forgotten. The pineapple curry chicken tonight was bland and uninspiring, not like the first time. They always say the first time is the best, and so it went. We were both ready for the heat, Jon in his classy blue gym clothes and me in a skimpy strap top but alas, only Jon was breaking sweat. Meh. I've experienced better. That is what a 2 star rating means on Yelp, and that is exactly what I thought about Thai Sky. When my girl and I got home after a long, but fun, 4 days in San Diego we were in no mood to cook or to dine out so I checked out Yelp to find a place that would deliver us some grub. After going through pages and pages of restaurants I came across Thai Sky. Their menu was pretty big, but everything seemed a little pricey. Since Thai Sky has a solid 4 star rating I thought that the food must be great, so the prices did not bother me. It took about 45 minuets for our food to be delivered, which got me a little upset because they said it would take 30 minutes when I placed the order over the phone. We got an order of Gai Kua, which is flat noodles that are pan fried with chicken, eggs, and garlic, an order of orange chicken, and two large Thai iced teas. The Gai Kua was good. I'm a huge fan of garlic, so when this dish turned out to be really garlicky I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken that was mixed in with the noodles was not all that flavorful but it was tender. The orange chicken was not good at all. It was burnt and contained very little meat. I was really disappointed in this dish. As far as the Thai teas go, well, they were great, but I have never had a Thai tea that I did not enjoy. As I mentioned above this place is pretty pricey. It was about $35 dollars for our food and after tip that makes this a $40-43 meal, which is way too much for 2 Styrofoam containers that are 3/4 of the way full of average Thai food. If you starving and don't feel like driving then I guess this place may be an option, but I personally will not eat here again. read more

I lived for years in the Thai Town area of Hollywood, so I got used to eating excellent Thai food at great prices. Since moving away from there, I have eaten a lot of disappointing Thai Food and figured I'd never be able to get that Thai-Town quality again. I recently moved to Wrigley and am checking out all the local restaurants to find my new favorites. I am overjoyed to report that my first meal from Thai Sky was just as good as Thai Town, and the service was much better! I ordered at the counter, got my takeout in minutes and everything was prepared to perfection. I am so happy to have an awesome Thai take-out option in my new neighborhood. I am anxious to try their dine-in service if COVID ever ends!!! read more
