pad see ew: flat noodle stir fried with thick soy sauce, chicken, and chinese broccoli = $12.95
Trung N.

I ordered take out from here because it was convenient and though it was, the food tasted very okay. We ordered the following: -pad sew ew ($12.95): flat noodle stir fried with thick soy sauce, your choice of meat with Chinese broccoli -yellow curry ($12.95): spicy - your choice of meat, potatoes, and onions The pad see ew wasn't bad, but the noodles were overcooked so they were a bit mushy. They also lacked the wok char which usually gives the noodles so much flavor. I deviated from my usual green curry order and tried the yellow version instead. It's much more coconut-y in flavor and I did like the vegetable change up. This was quite good spooned over rice. It tasted like regular ole curry either way nothing more to it. I'm glad I gave Thai Sky a go. It's quick, easy, and convenient.

Came here on a Monday around 6:00pm. No wait to be seated. Service was quick despite many takeout orders. One bathroom. Two parking spots in front. Ordered the pad thai with chicken it was good. The pad see ew with beef was a nice chewy. And the calamari with the sauce was nice. The wonton soup had good amount of seasoning. All had fresh veggies. The thai tea was really good. All in all for price to size to flavoring was worth it.

5/5 - Customer Service 2/5 - Thai Chicken Pad See Ew -- $12.95 5/5 - Taro Milk Tea -- $5.95 5/5 - Curry Puff Pastry -- $9.99 This place is a small hidden gem. The workers were very friendly and the interior was very charming. It has a warm ambience to it. I ordered Thai Chicken Pad See Ew, Taro Milk Tea, and the Curry Puff Pastry. The Thai Chicken Pad See Ew wasn't appetizing. It lacked dark soy sauce. It was overly soggy and broken apart. The veggies were very dry. I don't experience that with other Thai Restaurant. For the Taro Milk Tea, it was super delicious and appetizing. For the Curry Puff Pastry, it was super delicious. It came with a dipping sauce. The sauce was great, but I think the Curry Puff Pastry is still just as great without the sauce. The only thing that was concerning was the price. For 3pcs, it's priced at $9.99. If you order this, your receipt will say 5pcs. I clarified with one of the workers and she said that when they put it in the system they are going by Thai numbers. I would most likely return for the drinks, but unfortunately not for the food.

Fried dim sum. Sweet and spicy chicken that I took a bite of before letting the camera eat. (oops) And great family company. 3

We actually drove passed it and had to turn around to go back and find it...it's an unassuming building but once you see it, it's like, why did I miss that? It's got very few awkward parking spots right in front of it, but for additional parking, there's street & neighborhood spots (hopefully) near and all around. Be careful backing out & getting back on the street (you'll understand what I mean when you come and try this place out). The entrance looks like a home door. Just turn the knob and walk right on in. Inside is a normal typical restaurant. They have lunch and dinner specials and I highly recommend going this route for the best value. The dinner specials include shrimp fried rice, a choice of egg roll or simple salad, a Thai tea and a main entree with choices that include Pad Thai, Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken curry, chicken wings and more. And the price is lower than expected for the inclusions and portions. All the food taste good--the chicken wings are sweet and spicy (I asked for medium spice) and it paired perfectly with the rice. They also have appetizers and we tried the fried dim sum which was crispy and meaty. Pretty good. Honestly, we were all happy with what we ordered and it was such a pleasant meal. The service is friendly. But my one passive complaint is that the entrees came out at different times and since we all like to eat at the same time, some members of the group had to stare at their food while waiting for the others' food to arrive. And the wait was minutes (maybe? but it felt long, you know when you're hungry and want to eat, the wait just feels longer than what one would want). But overall, it was a wonderful and affordable dinner with the family. We were full and plan to return. :-)

I love love love this little spot! The ambiance is chill, sultry jazz playing in the background. Very clean and sparsely decorated. The staff are amazingly kind and willing to educate you on each dish. The food is delicious and plentiful.. I will definitely be coming back soon.

68. Pad Prik King
Noralba S.

I've came twice now , once for the lunch special (tried chicken chow mein and pad prik king) And today for dinner (1/3/2024 7pm). I personally had Thai iced tea, vegetarian egg rolls , a taste of their thai boat noodles, pad prik king, and mango sticky rice. My favorite two items were pad prik king because I asked for it to be made EXTRA EXTRA spicy and they actually did it ! Most places don't complete that request but I was sweating with my meal (no complaints I love spicy) plus the green beans were not overcooked and still had a crunch to them. My second favorite was the mango sticky rice which was absolutely amazing! I've only had this from one other place before but this one definitely exceeded my expectations The establishment was clean and staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back.

green curry (bowl), pad see ew (top box), pad thai (bottom)

My friends got me takeout from here when I visited them so I could try Thai cuisine for the first time. Extremely reasonable prices with healthy portions and the food was ready for pickup in less than 15 minutes. We got: pad see ew (3/5) -- Seemed to be a wetter version of chow fun. I found the sauce to be way too sweet(maybe too much kecap manis?), but it was strangely addictive. Could've used less sauce so the noodles wouldn't have been so heavy and soggy. pad thai (4/5) -- Preferred this noodle's texture over the pad see ew though the sauce was still too sweet for me. Overall enjoyable because there were sour, spicy, and savory notes to help counter the sweetness. chicken green curry (4/5) -- Refreshing, spicy, sweet, saucy goodness. Get it just for the sauce and eat it with rice. Thai Iced tea (4/5) -- Earthy, bitter, and creamy. Was my first Thai tea experience so I'm not quite sure what authentic/good Thai tea is supposed to taste like. All the proteins in each dish we got were pretty dry while their vegetables were well done, so if you don't mind overcooked meat, give 'em a try.

I got two lunches out of it - very flavorful and filling without being too salty or oily, which is a plus. I knocked down one star because I also ordered an iced lemongrass tea and it tasted like pure sugar/syrup! The lemongrass flavor was still there, but it was wayyy too sweet. I could only drink half. Today I filled the rest of the cup with water and it was still too sweet. I'll have to ask if they make a sugar-free version, or if the sweetness level can be adjusted because I definitely do not feel great after drinking that, haha.

The chicken satay was to be expected nothing special but it was good, the pork jerky was phenomenal I've never had it before and really enjoyed it! I will say that the spice levels here are pretty mild we got medium spicy but it was more like a between mild and medium spicy so if you like spice definitely ask for it! Portion sizes are pretty good here, the two of us had leftovers to take home! Thai tea presentation is super cute and unique! Flavor wise it's nothing special but presentation wise it's super cute w the popsicle and everything! Service was pretty fast we came in on a Saturday and only had to wait maybe 15 min for a table? We ordered everything at once and it all came really fast (ie: before we were even halfway through the appetizers the main entrees showed up). Waiters were overall pretty nice and did check on us a few times. Nice casual ambiance. Music choice is kind of interesting they were playing kpop when we were there. Overall I could see this being a great place to meetup w friends, maybe a cute place for a date given how cute the Thai tea presentation is. The only slightly off-putting thing was how many flies there were because of the hot weather, but luckily the restaurant was prepared with little fans/propellers to keep them away from the food so it wasn't a problem while we were eating. We started with the crab rangoons, which we devoured. You can't go wrong with those and I'm glad they had it on their menu! For our mains, we tried the pad see ew and the panang curry. The pad see ew was great in flavor. I wish there were more veggies and that the beef was a bit less dry but it was not a big deal and still delicious. The panang curry was spicy and nutty. The tenderloin was the best part and practically melted in my mouth! Of course we got thai teas, which were very sweet. They were also huge and definitely shareable. Service was okay, we had to ask multiple times for certain things but they were busy so it is understandable. Definitely a great thai place for date night or plans with friends, but it seems to get pretty crowded so expect a wait! I'd probably come back to try more of their menu.

Anyway, now about 3 months ago... we were here around lunchtime on a Saturday, cause we were in the area, and hadn't tried it yet. Service was great with one weight hiccup. We sat down and had water in front of us and our order taken basically immediately. Ordered a pad se ew, khao soi ($16 each for the entrees), and a large Thai tea ($7) to share. The pad ke mow and the Thai tea came out basically immediately. We'd already drunk all our water and had someone come back out to refill it, when the khao soi showed up about 15 minutes later with no mention of the delay. (We also got our check and paid quickly when we were done. Dunno what happened with the khao soi.) The Thai tea was great, and if you're sharing it with someone, 7 bucks is a great price for basically two Thai teas. The pad se ew - the first dish we always judge a Thai place on, being one of both of our favorite Thai dishes - was excellent. Great noodles, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with plenty of Chinese broccoli (I always like to call out the places that use inferior, wrong American broccoli instead, as was *not* the case here). 16 bucks, but that seems to be the going rate these days for Thai food (I remember when it was like half that much...), and you get a good portion. Good portion on the khao soi too. Wonderfully delicious crispy chicken, and a good amount of it. Great curry. Slightly too many crispy noodles, slightly not enough of the regular king - noodle-wise, just ok. In terms of khao soi, ST Noodle is definitely still the gold standard, with Thai District in 2nd. This could be 3rd, though. "Medium" spicy also wasn't very spicy - my wife liked it; I liked it a lot more after adding a bunch of chili sauce.

We tend to go with either their larb or papaya salad which both dish are quite tasty and flavorful. Spice level to your liking. This visit, the larb. Always served with a wedge of cabbage. The flavor is alway great and every bite, flavorful. Of course the only place that I alway get the boat noodles. I've had it at other places but this is my favorite in Long Beach. The broth is great and thick with all the meat. Chinese broccoli accompanied as well. It's comfort food and alway hits the spots. This time we've tried another dish that we've never had. The chili garlic fish with rice. We were informed that it would take about 15 minutes which was fine. Deep fried sole fillets with garlic and chili sauce served on top a bed of mixed salad. First off, there was loads of fish and it was quite tasty and the sauce, it was good. A dish that was quite tasty and great for sharing. Overall, the food has alway been great and service has always been excellent. Each and every meal have always been enjoyed. It's our go to in Long Beach.
