Since we did take out I can only review the two dishes. We ordered pad thai and it was a HUGE portion. Amazing! We did spice level 2 but will do 3 next time. The flavor was delicious, fresh and it was piping hot! The chicken was a great addition. We also got the drunken noodles with basil and chicken, spice level 2 and it was so yummy! The sauce was delicious. We got a free Thai coffee for checking in on yelp and it was great! Perfect balance of sweetness and coffee. To the owner! Please hire more staff! Last time we were there was two months ago and waitress told we had to wait 40 minutes after we were seated. We then found another another restaurant "Taste of Thai" which is only one block north of Thai delight. We have been going to Taste of Thai once a week sometime twice and telling all of our friends to go. Taste of Thai is fully staffed and despite full house our food were never more than 15 minute wait. Plus the food is also better! You are not saving money by hiring just one staff, you are loosing customers who may not return after they found something new nearby :-) read more

Won't Disappoint This was my first visit Thai Delight the food and service were great. On this visit I was with a small group. However, we were seated immediately, our menus were given to us promptly, and our drinks were served quickly. All the dish's that we ordered were flavorful and well-spiced. I ordered medium spice and it was perfect; just what I expected and hoped for. The Crab Rangoon and Potstickers, were delicious. I'm completely disappointed with this restaurant. I took my family for a lunch and ordered appetizers, when it came out it had 2 insects floating around the soy sauce they provided. We informed them so they can bring something clean however they replaced it with much worse. Was really in the mood for some good Thai food, so ordered 3 entrees for the family: pad see ew, orange chicken, and the house fried rice. I also decided to get the pot stickers, crab puffs, and a side of rice noodles along with a couple Thai teas and a Thai coffee. When the food arrived we were really excited, and began serving plates. I thought the pot stickers looked a bit crispy, but held my breath. We all started digging in. The first thing my dad said was the pot stickers were overcooked. "Damn it", I thought. Trying mine confirmed my concern. Oh well, just an appetizer. Pad see ew was good, same with the house fried rice. Tried to bite the orange chicken .... and it was overcooked too! Ok, sometimes certain pieces are, so pushed it to the side, and tried another bite. Still burnt edges, tough to chew, and the chicken was stringy, all the moisture was gone. (The sauce was quite bland for Thai food, as well). When it came to the crab puffs, only about half were "burnt", but definitely overcooked. I just ripped the crab pockets and left the fortune cookie like exterior alone (not puffy, but hard fortune cookie like structure). We know good Thai food. Unfortunately, Thai Delight is NOT it. There was not much delightful about our experience. Having spent over $80 for the meal, we contacted GH, who phoned the business requesting refundsnfor the dishes. They refused. We called ourselves and they wanted us to drive over the food and show them, or contact GH and have them bring the food back. The man told my husband he's "never heard of the chicken being overcooked". What a joke. Told him to bring it over so they could "inspect it". In the middle of CO-VID... drive out of our way to bring back food that was delivered by a third-party company ... HA! Have been here 3 times already this month and discovered this gem because of a friends' recommendation. I absolutely love this restaurant for their flavorful food, ambience, parking, free drink if you check in on yelp or free ice cream from dinner, service and portion size! I have tried pad Thai, panang curry and drunken noodles - all with tofu and Thai hot and it was extremely delicious and hot enough for me to love it. I have become a regular here as just this restaurant crosses my mind when I'm in the mood for some Thai food. How did I miss on this hidden gem? This place is all that you are looking for in an authentic Thai restaurant. We went for a weekday lunch and I couldn't have chosen a better place. We were seated immediately and this place looks clean and modern. They have a salad and soup bar, the salad bar had some fresh berries and grapes which is a rare find in Thai restaurants. I ordered a bowl of tom Kha soup and panang curry. The curry came with an option of white or fried rice. The tom Kha soup is one of the best I have tried. Their coconut milk used was on point, so was the flavor in it with the chicken well done. My favourite dish of the day was definitely the panang curry, it was hot and was really fresh. The curry was delicious with the side of fried rice. I went with a spice level of 3 and it was just perfect. It came along with spring roll which was equally appetizing. I enjoyed the meal to every bit. The lunch portion was excellent and so is their price. With the delicious food they serve, the price is decent. Had a 4pm dinner on a Friday. It wasn't very busy at all, in fact empty, though there were plenty of to go orders coming in to pickup. So I'm sure they're popular as takeout. Delicious, our food was so yummy that we forgot to take pictures. We wanted a light dinner for 2 so we only ordered a Thai Fried Rice and a cup of Tom Yum soup, both Mild Spicy. OK you can choose to believe me or not - but this is the BEST Thai food I've ever had. And I've had Thai food all over the Northwest (new to the area and happened upon this place! What luck). The Tom Kha is spiced beautifully. You can tell the ingrediants such as lemongrass and coconut milk are fresh and correctly sourced. I love the texture of the cabbage. The shrimp is SO good - totally mild !! No weird "fishy" or grimy taste/texture that I can't stand about some restaurant's shrimp. Now the green curry - *Wow* so healthy. Our whole family loves this place and we've been going here for years. If it wasn't for our long standing love for this place I would have only given them 4 stars because of their recent lack of service. Since covid, they have been primarily a takeout restaurant and their popularity has only grown. Understandably, because their food is SO GOOD and has stayed consistent for years but with that growth, they have not increased their staff. This has made it impossible to eat in the few times we have tried. 2 weeks ago I went in and sat at the booth for almost 30 minutes without even being offered water because the 1 person who was working the cash register was also answering the phones, and was the only waiter. He didn't acknowledge us after we sat down. After 30 minutes we ended up asking to do a to-go order and we asked for cups of water while we waited. I was super disappointed that as dine in customers we were completely ignored and I took my food home feeling a little sad that the service was so bad. I truly thought "where am I going to go to get good Thai food now?!" All was forgiven when I took my first bite of their green curry, it's so good! And 1 order will easily feed 2 adults. My kids favorites are their orange chicken and spring rolls. We have tried most things on the menu and have never been disappointed in the food. Everyone in my family loves dinning in to get the coconut ice cream for dessert. I think Thai Delight deserves a second chance, but next time I'll dine in. I ordered a to-go box of vegetarian chow-mein noodles and was excited for my Thai splurge. I was in luck, my order was finished super quickly. Inside I discovered that they also had Thai tea (a soft spot of mine!) and rushed off with my take-out to cram a quick dinner before other plans for the night. I was super hungry, and disappointed to say the least, as I carefully opened my styrofoam container, tied neatly in a plastic bag to find that napkins and eating utensils are not, apparently, included in the order. I was nowhere near silverware. Aside from not being able to eat my dinner ... the place was cute, but completely empty at around 4pm on a Saturday. I saw one other person snag a takeout bag just before I walked in, and wondered why it was so empty. Consistency is key when it comes to food. It may vary based on service, but the foundation of a restaurant should always serve up and produce awesome food all of the time. I'm preaching to the choir. Since moving to Phoenix, I've found Thai Delight to not let me down. It's my favorite local Thai restaurant. Their menu offers many of the Thailand flavors along with soups full of flavor and apps that won't disappoint. Caution to those that love the spice. My advice is to start low and work your way up. I love spicy food and three stars is about the top of my tolerance scale. They can put fire in your belly if you want them to, but what's the point? Life is a balance after all and enjoying the food. Tried Thai Delight a couple Saturdays ago. It was good, but I admit to being slightly disappointed in the ginger entree. Granted, I got the lowest level spice as possible but with it being ginger, I expected a bit more flavor to it (I like ginger!). I didn't take a lot of pics of the inside because the other pics you'll see are spot on. The restaurant was clean, they spaced out the customers & the service was good. The Tom Kha (coconut soup) was excellent & huge; I should have simply used that as my main meal. We didn't order dessert but were given a small bowl of coconut ice cream - also very good. Be aware, the entrees are large (can easily feed at least two people if not more) If you check in through Yelp, you get an Xl glass of iced Thai tea or Thai coffee. Yum! We ordered-- 1) the appetizer plate called Thai Delight--coconut shrimp, crab Rangoon, fried rolls, fresh roll, chicken satay, two each. Good flavors, only that the various sauces Can be a little more flavored. 2) the Drunken Spaghetti with Seafood (one of the house specialities)--hubby said it had a good balance of veggies, spaghetti and seafood. He was pleased with it. 3) the Pad Thai (how can I not)--traditional shrimp and chicken but you can switch out to other meats if you like. It became better after I asked for a whole extra lime to squeeze onto it (they charged me a dollar for the lime), and after I requested to have the fish sauce brought to our table (watch it though--their fish sauce had chilis in it, which I did not expect). Not related to the food or the service but just be aware that when we had dinner there today (Nov 3rd, 2018), a customer got locked in in the bathroom since the doorknob mechanism probably got stuck.
