How can I just find this place? It's pretty amazing. I had the coconut soup with vegetable, as suggested by my server. It was WONDERFUL! Just right amount of sourness and saltiness in this flavorful coconut soup base. All kinds of vegetables were included. I was surprised! And they have an option for cup sized soup, which a lot of places don't offer but perfect for a side dish for a single person! Awesome! My entree was the eggplant dish with tofu, mild. Delicious! The flavor was a little bit on the strong side, but balanced perfectly with the relatively bland eggplant and tofu. Their rice was great too! You can tell if an Asian restaurant is good or bad just by tasting their rice, for it's such an important but skillful main dish for all Asian cuisine. They did a great job. I was really satisfied. And before the check, my server brought me a small cup of coconut ice cream, and told me it was free for all their customers. I was sold! The ice cream was very tasty too, with pineapple and coconut pieces in it! My FAVORITE! Yum! I came here pretty late at night, but they never tried to rush me out the door, and treated me very politely and nicely instead. I'm very glad I came here tonight. Wow all of the food we ordered was outstanding!!!! I ordered the avocado curry with chicken man that was excellent! I have been to Thailand so my reference is good. This place as far as I am concerned the best Thai food in AZ that I have found! The chicken satay is on spot! Most places don't take care on how they prepare this appetizer but they do. Even the cucumber-salad is really good that comes with it. The peanut sauce was great as well. The staff is excellent and the owners came out to see how everything was. That means a lot to me and shows they really care about their guests! My wife loved her Pad See Yu and I tried it and it was excellent. Not dry like other places. The décor was modern and clean - not the typical Houston Chinatown hole in the wall. It was a quiet night since at the end of our meal the chef and owner came out to the front of the house. I chose a safe beef broccoli. The meat quality was good and tasty. The sauce was a little sweet for my liking. Also my friend wasn't expecting her fish to be fried and the sauce was definitely sweet - it looked like sweet and sour. I have been to Thai Delight several times now. I am hooked! I like spicy food. Okay, I love spicy food. I have been ordering everything at a level FIVE, which is their spiciest level. One day it was phenomenal and I could not stop eating it. The next two times, it was actually a bit hotter than expected. Still, I am addicted to the heat! I keep going back for more because it is amazing. So far, I have had the Pad Thai, the Drunken Noodles and the Garlic Noodles. I like the Drunken Noodles the best, so I have ordered those on repeat visits. If you go during lunch time, you get salad bar included. I think they also have soup, but I have never tried it. My daughter likes the grapes they have in the salad bar. Thai Delight is reasonably priced. Most of what I get is $7.95 during lunch and $9.95 at dinner. Considering I get two meals out of it most of the time, it is a definite bargain! The restaurant has only been open for a few months, but already seems to have a loyal following. That said, they were empty on Friday night. I felt really bad that we were one of only two or three tables in there. They even brought us coconut pineapple ice cream for dessert, which happens to be my absolute favorite ice cream from childhood! They have earned my business for sure! Great new restaurant in Ahwatukee. The Thai iced tea was large and fresh. I ordered a fresh coconut just for fun! We split the potstickers with ground chicken. These are fried with very thin crispy shell. Very good. Mom decided to try drunken noodles with pork and basil. We split it and have enough for tomorrow too! It was really tasty snd ordering it medium was the perfect "hot" for us. The ice cream was delicious too. Pineapple/coconut. Easy access for handicapped and easy parking. We will be back soon. Since moving to the area, I've had trouble finding a good spring roll with fresh ingredients that didn't taste like it came from the freezer section at Wal-Mart. I wanted Thai food and my daughter found this place, thanks to Yelp. The servings are generous, especially at lunch hour. We shared the fresh shrimp roll, but then we couldn't finish our meal because we were so full. My daughter had the Drunken noodles and I had the green curry. They definitely did not scrimp on the amount of protein or the vegetables for my curry. I went back a second time with my husband and he was full and content with the dishes we ordered. Disrespectful. Me and my girlfriend came into the restaurant with her service animal (who has been her service animal for over 5 years) and the owner kept pestering us about "bringing a pet in". When he first approached us, we kindly informed him it was her service animal, he then kept pushing the issue about her not having the correct "collar" or "paperwork". It is illegal under the ADA for someone to ask for paperwork or "proof". He walked away and came back stating "if no one else comes over here, it's okay to have your dog here". Well of course it's okay, she is a service animal. What were we expected to do? Prevent people from coming in the restaurant? (Which is already dead btw, only 1 other person was in there). He kept trying to assert dominance, and even muttered under his breathe "oh god". A few things are clear: 1. He has issues with dominance because he stated numerous times "this is my restaurant" and used degrading statements like "you surely understand that...". We were not trying to undermine you, we were just trying to eat in peace without being harassed. 2. For whatever reason, we were being discriminated against. I am not sure how many times we could state she was a service animal for him to believe us. I wonder even if we showed him the paperwork if he would think we forged it. I've had this place before and it was wonderful. But if I would have known it was him running it, I would've never came. read more

This is an updated review: We love this place and really enjoy their food but the past few times we have been there we waited over an hour to an hour and a half for our food. We dined in on New Year's Day. From the moment we sat down at 8:03, we weren't greeted , asked for drink orders or even acknowledged until 8:14. After we placed our orders we didn't get our drinks until 8:27. I understand that you have a lot of Togo orders but the woman that was our server was just standing in the entry way to the kitchen not doing anything. There's no explanation as to why you weren't serving us. Our appetizer came out about 20 minutes after we ordered and the inside was cold. After our appetizer, it was about another 25-30 minutes for our food to arrive. We watched many people storm out of the restaurant angry because everything was taking so long. The table next to us said they sat down at 7:30 and were just receiving their order around 8:50. I understand that things happen but this isn't the first time this has happened to us and from what I can tell from other reviews, it's been happening quite often. We had an order delivered by Grubhub. Our order was Potstickers, Thai Fried Rice and Pad Woon Sen. the potstickers were the only acceptable item The fried rice had zero flavor and the veggies were over cooked and mushy. Also there where some unknown hard little bits in the dish. The Pad Woon Sen was just bad. The snap peas were so mushy it was disgusting, all the other veggies were over cooked and mushy and once again there was some unknown hard bit. However none of the above is the purpose of this review. We had been here before and had great food and service. We called in our experience with the food and were pot on hold for quite a while and then the person on the phone told us to call GrubHub for a refund. Ummmmmm..... we should waste more of our time to make this right? No that's your job. We told her that is not our job but thank you we will not be coming back or ordering from here again. I'm perplexed by the rave reviews because this was one of the most dry and bland Thai meals I've ever had. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with shrimp and there was no hint of sauce whatsoever. It's like they forgot something. Just finished eating at Thai Delight on Chandler Blvd in Awatukee and it was amazing. I am a Thai native and have finally found an authentic Thai restaurant. I had the Minced Pork Salad, and it was fantastic. It was the most authentic and tastey Thai food I have had since moving to Arizona. The owners, Kung and Mike, we're attentive and made us feel at home. Our waiter Carlo was always on the spot with water and Pepsi refills and generraly provided great service. First thai place I tried recently since moving to AZ. Felt beyond disappointed and deceived by all the reviews/ratings. Don't trust all the 5 star reviews. Food is either bland and dry or super greasy when it came to fried items. The fried rice in particular was basically just white rice with half the dish consisting of only cabbage (should've called it cabbage rice). Only redeeming quality is the food portions maybe? The only reason they don't have five stars is because I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai....and I got exactly two shrimp. EXACTLY! I don't think my portion of shrimp was worth the extra cost. It could have been a one off....but the first one (visit)? Bad precedent. Return trip is debatable....shrimp pad Thai is my go to menu item. Great if you like big portions of tasty food. We absolutely loved this cute new Thai restaurant! I love the way it's decorated inside, it feels very hip! Our server was excellent and was very attentive. We ordered the spicy basil with chicken extra Thai hot and it did not disappoint! Wonderful flavor and the perfect amount of spice! We also got the phat prik khing in medium and it was so good and quite unique compared to others that I have had. I love how it came with a variety of vegetables. We also got a Thai iced tea that came free with our meal from our yelp check in! Finally, the owner brought us out two bowls of homemade coconut ice cream!
