I wish I had taken a picture but others that are posted represent well! It was so good with fresh bean spouts, chopped peanuts, and a delicious sauce over rice noodles. Had such high expectations as its just blocks from our condo In a big plaza with starbucks so plenty of parking. Outdoor patio and inside seats as well. Got here on a Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. They gave us the lunch special menu. Very good pricing. Tofu, chicken, beef or pork dishes are $7.95 and shrimp dishes are $9.95. Salad comes with each order and the dressing is good. Apparently so good that people want to buy it so it's on their menu as a side for $5? Other sides included hot sauce and different sauces. No actual sides like Tom yum soup or chicken satay or papaya salad. I did notice they have those on their dinner menu but we weren't given that menu. It's nice they have Saturday lunch special till 3pm but I guess I found the menu limited. Food was Bland so the pepper and hot sauce tray came in handy. The thai basil signature dish is Rice and sautéed vegetables. Hubby got it with shrimp but didn't enjoy it. My red curry which I was so excited about was runny and not enough flavor. She didn't ask if we wanted hot, thai hot or medium hot and I forgot to say so I guess we just got regular? I think this is a swing and a miss. Might try once more for dinner and get their pad thai and papaya salad. That's how I usually judge a thai restaurant. The server barely spoke to us...maybe lack of English. Just blah. read more

I didn't experience the authenticity, greatness, and solid taste of Thai cuisines at this spot. Everything that I've ordered for takeout was only average and nothing was a spectacular thing to write about it. I mean, excuse me for my words but the food was only mediocre, sorry! From the Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, and Curry were all mediocre for me. Well, the Coconut Soup was good for me though it was not enough to compensate the other dishes that I've got. Maybe, I expected too much. Well, on the positive side, I like the service. It was impeccable and my orders pack well. Clean packaging and complete order. Everyone was very nice too and the place was very organized when I came. I also love the clean facilities and the simplicity of the location. Yesterday I purchased a gift certificate from restaurant.com for Thai Basil on Central, Phoenix, AZ. My husband & I arrived at the restaurant and as we were approaching the door, we saw a big sign in the window saying "We do NOT accept restaurant.com coupons". So, there is a scam going on somewhere! Obviously Thai Basil are absolutely aware of this happening, so why have they allowed themselves to be kept on the restaurant.com website? When I go to restaurant.com there is no way of contacting them. I will have to take it that it is a SCAM, unless Thai Basil and/or restaurant.com are able to explain how this is allowed to happen??? read more

We really love this place. It is very good authentic Thai food with a kick. The lunch menu is So cheap! They always give you a slice of watermellon or something to cool off your palet from the great HOT spicy food. We love everything about this place. The food is great, the atmosphere is great and the staff are usually kind and helpfull which you don't see much in restaurants from the Orient. The only thing wrong with this place is that it is too small. They are so good they need double the size at least! read more
