Not a great experience. Kids enjoyed the Grilled cheese and Chicken Quesadilla. Requested no pickles with the grilled cheese but they came out with the sandwich. Thankfully in a cup and they didn't ruin the meal for my picky eater. The fried mushrooms were the best thing we ate. Ordered chips and salsa, received queso. They corrected it. Ordered a burger no veggies, came loaded with lettuce, tomato, onions, etc. Corrected but the burger was lukewarm at best by the time I bit in. Wife's medium rare Ribeye was chewy and had to remind them multiple times for her side salad (which came out after the steak). Speed of service was good and the servers were friendly. My wife and I have been here 3 times now we live about an hour away so when we are out in Katy we try to stop in for their chili. The only problem is that the service kept getting worse it seems that we're invisible to them this last time we ordered mozzarella sticks and instead of the marinara sauce, they gave us cocktail sauce my wife almost got sick from it not to mention the big scoop I got with my mozzarella stick not delicious at all. The wait staff wasn't very helpful at all didn't check up on us very much (have better service at Chik-fil-a) so my wife got up to get us some refills and the guy behind the bar told her that this is not self serve maybe if the staff would do there job the customer wouldn't have to get up to get their own refills. The food is good best chili we have ever had anywhere I believe they need better training for there servers don't just go for the regular customers cause you never know what you might be doing with potential regular customer. If we do go back and I do mean if we do go back I will be taking my food to go and eat it in a parking lot somewhere. read more

My family and I got there around 745 Mother's Day they weren't busy at all I understand they were probably busy most of the day. However it doesn't excuse how dirty the floor and tables were. Food all over the floor napkins and just trash i stepped on a few fries. The staff was so busy talking to each other I could see why nothing was cleaned we didn't really even know which one was our waiter. One girl didn't even walk away from the bar area just pointed to tables when people came in. Waiter never came to ask how food was or refill drinks had to refill our own. The food was so bad I had a few bites of my fried fish (which used to be great) tasted like it had been warmed in a microwave rubbery and cold same with my sons chicken tenders the bread tasted like 3 day old bread husbands chicken fried steak was just ok as well. Very disappointing all the way around. Won't go back. I really hope the owners really do better and teach and train these kids. This resturant has always been a good place to eat. We eat there often and have never been treated the way we were tonight by Kyle the manager. Let me first say he is no manager, lacks people skills. We sat down and ordered our food but when the food came to the table it was cold Luke warm at best. The geavy was so cold it was like jello. The onion rings were also cold. My wife seafood was also cold. When we brought it the managers attention he gave me the excuse he was the only one running food and blamed everyone else for putting orders in and not taking the food out. It did take a long time alot longer than normal to get our food. Two other tables were sat down after us but the got there food ahead of us which I would not have had aproblem with as long as our food would have come out hot. I also notice that food wS sitting in the window a long time without any heat lamps keeping food hot. The manager very in mature came back to the table a second time and said the plate was warm. The table next to us over heard the conversation and was taken back at want he did. I do not recommend this resturant as it is being ran by a bunch of in mature kids that do not have the skill set to be dealing with people. read more

I got the larger portion of prime rib with loaded baked potatoes and fries with white gravy. I've asked for medium rare. When the prime rib came out it was over cooked. I've sent it back and got one that was cooked ALMOST to what I ordered, so I kept it. It was about a medium temperature. I visited here for lunch last Thursday for my first time. It has a nice Texas country diner feel to it that offers typical diner food along with a daily M-F lunch special. That day it was meat loaf with mashed taters and brown gravy along with green beans and Texas Toast for $8.95. I added an iced tea to drink. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. It was a big slice of meatloaf that had good flavor along with the mashed spuds and gravy. Of particular, I really liked the seasoning of the green beans. Very nice! Table service was attentive and very friendly. I could give a 4 for the meal taste wise and price but seriously considered giving a 2 instead. Why? When I walked in the waitress told me to pick my seating location. I immediately noticed that there was NO separation attempt (I.e. Covid 19) between the tables and the dining room was mostly full of patrons. I was the only person wearing a mask and could understand the customers not wearing them but none of the employees had one on. I considered leaving but wound up staying reluctantly. This carelessness was not appreciated and 4 days later the County mandated mask wearing so hopefully they are complying now. Texas Tradition, it's 2020 not 2019. Get with the program! read more

This was our first time here and it was lunch on a Saturday. It was packed so I thought we were at the right spot. Welllllll the service was a little slow to be expected and I do understand that, but when ordering they didn't even ask for the level of doneness to cook my husband's burgers and it came out almost rare. He will not eat red meat. Then if you want fries you have to order separately, which the waiter did not offer, and I had to later, chase him down and ask for. I ordered the steak fingers and substituted out onion rings. The onion rings were hard and not juicy at all. I ate two of them. The steak fingers were nothing to rave about.
