We walked into the to-go area and the man behind the counter was shouting (in a joking manner) back at his coworkers- "F@&$ you _____!!" "Oh, well F@&$ that!"- laughing hysterically. My son and I just stood there until he turned around. He kept laughing and just said "oh, sorry- my bad" Yeah.....not impressed After 90 minutes driving- got back home and opened our to-go order... not overly impressed with the portions on some... flavor was still good. read more

Love its complimentary soft bread and butter. So delicious. The manager came to say hi and asked if we like the food which is a nice touch in customer care. Father's day dinner, waited an hour despite 7pm reservation. Very busy, service and staff were very good. Hot rolls were fantastic. Ch8cken fried chicken was just ok. Gravy was tasty. Salad, side dishes also just ok. Everyone at table received correct food. Overall experience just ok. Texas roadhouse staff should be more careful in the attire of its customers. This is one of my parent's favorite places to come and eat out. It's a great value, with a fun vibe, AND this particular location is the largest in the world and is never not packed. Each time I've come with them, my steak is cooked just as I order it (RARE). Service is quick and attentive, but my only ding would be the execution of the presentation. Plates always seem slung around and plated, never cleaned around the edges. (I grew up with my parents owning steakhouses and attention to detail was engrained into me.) My favorite item on the menu is the Beef Tips with mushrooms, onions, brown gravy and mashed potatoes (loaded mashed potatoes I might add). This time we tried the Rattlesnake Bites for appetizer and they were quite tasty little balls of spicy cheese. I'm not a huge bread eater, but this place is known for their signature Roadhouse Rolls with Cinnamon Butter and they will keep them coming if you keep asking. I'm also a fan of the Sangria Margarita here, but their cocktails are all always a hit. Plan ahead and put your name on the waitlist or prepare to wait, no matter the day or time. read more

I can't get behind this place. The steaks are select or choice and they charge prime prices. The steaks always come out dry and fatty. Absolutely nasty. Went to Texas Roadhouse for my brother's 21st birthday and my dad's 59th birthday! Was not given a special "happy birthday" celebration despite telling the waitress we were celebrating birthdays. Pretty sure the small margaritas had absolutely no alcohol, just all sugar. The steaks were OK but would not recommend. Overall the best tasting thing was the onion appetizer and the honey butter rolls, and even then it was just sodium-laden and we all felt hungover the next morning despite having no alcohol. Must be from the high salt and fat content in everything and preservatives. If you want taste-bud stimulating junk food and big portions, this is the place!! My trip to Texas Roadhouse was overall very pleasant. The service was overall very good, they definitely lived up to their friendly reputation. Ambiance was kinda whatever, it is what you get for a steakhouse, lights pretty low. The food was pretty great and affordable. Oh my goodness, they fed me a roadkill they fed me roadkill. They charged me extra for the mushrooms. How could they do this to me? It was listed on the menu with the mushrooms as part of the order, not being a separate deal, so they charge me they charge me for the mushrooms, even though the mushrooms were already accounted for by the price of the meal so needless to say I'm a little punked about that but overall, I did eat the roadkill and it was quite good and the people I was with said they enjoyed the sirloin (medium rare) steaks so I guess this is why I'm giving it a four out of five. (This review is from November 17, 2023) Yeah, it's a chain, and yes we've seen it even internationally in Japan, Taiwan, etc: but.. hey, this one's the biggest TX Roadhouse in the world apparently! Before the old location on 289 was moved into this one, we had some bad experiences with the overcrowding, sticky tables, and subpar steak. My experience with the new location is markedly better, and the country fried steak I ordered was actually really good. The bread was soft and fresh, and service was good. It was still packed as all heck, but I suppose that's to be expected on a Friday night. Make sure you get on that waitlist ASAP! We were here for my lil brother's birthday and it was hilarious they made him ride on that saddle. I'll have to be back to try out the steak again to properly evaluate whether it can really be called a legit steakhouse, but the country fried chicken was definitely strong read more

Came here 10/10/2025 (6:30pm) we usually have a decent experience here but today was actually just terrible. We had been waiting for almost for 45 minutes, our original wait time was 20 minutes. I get it, Friday nights are busy, but this was crazy. There was a large party of kids waiting near us and one flung a peanut almost hitting me, hostess/host did nothing. I left it alone. Then two different groups of three sat themselves, nothing was done. Then they couldn't find one party after they called their name and the woman in front of us told the girl that was going to seat them "just take us they left" and seater said "how many are yall" and after she answered "two" and SHE WAS GOING TO SEAT THEM in front of everyone that had been waiting. Our wait time online shows three minutes, you'd think we'd be seated soon, NO I go ask how much longer and the host say 10 more minutes. This was such a chaotic and disappointing experience. Took a small group of 5 and requested a table; don't do that, they added a folding chair and put the fifth person in the walkway. The music is aggressively loud. Even though there were five of us and they added a chair, they only brought four rolls to the table. The waitress "upsold" items without being clear, both my mom and my wife asked for the upsold items to be on the side, because they didn't really want them, they thought it came with the meal. The steak, ribs, chicken (main course items) were all good and cooked as ordered. The sides were mediocre or, in the case of the steak fries, barely there. Drink refills were slow to come - at one point a manager came to check on us and we had to ask her for refills because it had been so long since we saw the server. Texas Roadhouse is not the quality restaurant it used to be. Plan four an hour wait time, even if you call ahead. read more

I love Texas Roadhouse.. well atleast in San Angelo, not here in Lubbock. It was busy the wait was 26 mins, so I understand something's take longer because of the wait. But when my salmon & broccoli arrived it was luke warm at best; the steamed broccoli was still crunchy. My fiancés chicken fried chicken was half the portion of what we usually get, and he couldn't eat more than half his fries because of how heavily salted they were. The waitress had to be reminded of drink refills, but she was amazing at everything else. I don't know if Texas Roadhouse recruits at high schools but be prepared because the entire staff is just that. The front area was full of girls with their phones out texting & giggling. They stared at us like we were interrupting them. Our waitress was good though! The food was good for the price but I think the cook needs a lesson in the knowing how to cook steak & someone please help the bartender. My drink was the nastiest saltiest thing. So a new update. It's been about a month since we last went. And surprise surprise they still cannot make a steak. I guess they no longer cook on a spectrum. It either medium rare or burnt. Mind you I asked for medium and I cut into it and even the server said wow that's way under cooked. I sent it back. And my family ate their meals which also had a few things wrong. But they took so long recooking the steak almost 20 min that I said no thanks. And paid and left. I was expecting it to be exceptionally crowded but was pleasantly surprised as we were seated quickly. Our waitress, Melissa was amazing. I get that steakhouses are usually noisy but today, we were sat next to a family with little kids screaming the entire time, it was awful! Other than that, I really liked my salmon and house salad. Chili was okay but I prefer having pinto beans in it.
