Decided to stop in for dinner since it was close to where we were. Our server Rylan was very nice and efficient. He checked on us numerous times. I had the shrimp and grits with green chili. OMG it was delicious! Country fried steak was delicious. But the topping to the meal was the fried cheesecake. You have to try this! Wow it was amazing. A solid restaurant with good service and good food, reminds me the Cotton Patch and Applebees or TGIFridays. I was traveling through town and it was recommended for their steak. We ordered an fried mushrooms and they were so good. My guest ordered the chicken fried steak and it was over fried and the meat was tough, he liked the mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered a sirloin and it was good, it was cooked to my order. The manager came by and offered a first timer free dessert or return coupon so we ordered a dessert and it was a nice surprise. The restaurant is clean and the people are friendly, I imagine it's a local hangout for everyone to enjoy. read more

Update. So we ran in to a manager and (without knowing they were a manager) was not giving a referral to the place. After we finished and discovered who we were speaking with, (and kinda put the ol foot in mouth) we got invited to return. Under more management, the service is nicer and faster. Our food came out hot and fresh and we had a very pleasant meal. Just to make sure this wasn't a one time thing, and the happy hour margaritas, we returned again. We never saw the kitchen manager, and as always I never disclose who I am, the service and food have improved to now being recommended for a good meal. My son and I came here for dinner on one of my recent trips Lubbock. Every time I roll into town, I am ready for a nice hearty dinner before bedtime. I always tell my son to pick a new to us spot and this is what he came up with. Parking was plentiful like most places in the area. Customer service was outstanding. Dustin was so attentive, gave us recommendations and took great care of us. The inside is super comfortable and inviting like they advertise. The menu is pretty large and has lots of options. We ordered the Green Chili Queso to begin. They boast on their menu that everything is made from scratch and I believe them, but the queso had a very processed taste to it that wasn't that tasty. My son on the other hand loved it. For my entree I went with the Ribeye and Pow Wow Shrimp combo with a side of off the cob elotes and green beans. I asked for a medium rare steak and it came out more along the line of a overcooked medium steak. Flavor was there though. The sides were both mediocre at best, they could've use a little more seasoning. The Pow Wow Shrimp was lightly battered shrimp that was tossed in creamy sweet chili sauce. It was pretty tasty but the sauce definitely made it lose any of its crispiness. Overall, this was a decent meal. My son enjoyed it but I thought it was just ok. I may come back at some point, but I'm not rushing back anytime soon. read more

We lived in Lubbock for a few years just over a decade ago. It's nice to see so many wonderful new restaurants. I ate lunch there today I ordered a ribbye But they brought me a sirloin , and when I told them That it was a sirloin and not a ribeye the manager came out to explain how UT was a sirloin like I didn't know my cuts of steak. The temperature was so cold we weren't even able to enjoy the meal, my steak was cooked wrong and was tough I always get medium. My green beans had a long string of hair as I was chewing.
