Overall it comes across as really scammy. I ordered the Aspen Sirloin with a baked potato that was undercooked and paid the extra (Upsale) to have it loaded with 5 strands of cheese, sour cream, bacon and chives. I also had the the green beans which were decent but lukewarm. The steak was an average steak for that price point. Wife had the Sweet and Spicy Salmon and indicated it was really good. Son had a Ribeye that the waitress tried to upscale him on adding the peppercorn sauce. He said he wasn't sure just put it on the side. I told him he would not like it and I also saw it was a $2.50 upsale. I did tell him to add the sautéed mushrooms for the same price (upsale) but when they brought the food they forgot them anyways and I had them remove them from the ticket. He also ordered a Diet Coke which was $3.59 and he was only able to get one refill on it. That is the cost of 6 pack! I ordered a margarita with a $1 upsale for a kicker. My wife had a margarita with the mango flavor upsale. The manager came over to welcome our first time visit and offered to buy us dessert which we said great to as we just ordered a dessert. The bill came and I questioned why we were being charged for the dessert. She indicated the one we ordered was not one we offered for free. If we had been advised it only applied to certain desserts we would have ordered one on that list. We won't be back, it is similar to a Texas Roadhouse but with lower quality of meats. read more

Decided to stop in for dinner since it was close to where we were. Our server Rylan was very nice and efficient. He checked on us numerous times. I had the shrimp and grits with green chili. OMG it was delicious! Country fried steak was delicious. But the topping to the meal was the fried cheesecake. You have to try this! Wow it was amazing. A solid restaurant with good service and good food, reminds me the Cotton Patch and Applebees or TGIFridays. I was traveling through town and it was recommended for their steak. We ordered an fried mushrooms and they were so good. My guest ordered the chicken fried steak and it was over fried and the meat was tough, he liked the mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered a sirloin and it was good, it was cooked to my order. The manager came by and offered a first timer free dessert or return coupon so we ordered a dessert and it was a nice surprise. Update. So we ran in to a manager and (without knowing they were a manager) was not giving a referral to the place. After we finished and discovered who we were speaking with, (and kinda put the ol foot in mouth) we got invited to return. Under more management, the service is nicer and faster. Our food came out hot and fresh and we had a very pleasant meal. Just to make sure this wasn't a one time thing, and the happy hour margaritas, we returned again. We never saw the kitchen manager, and as always I never disclose who I am, the service and food have improved to now being recommended for a good meal. My son and I came here for dinner on one of my recent trips Lubbock. Every time I roll into town, I am ready for a nice hearty dinner before bedtime. I always tell my son to pick a new to us spot and this is what he came up with. Parking was plentiful like most places in the area. Customer service was outstanding. Dustin was so attentive, gave us recommendations and took great care of us. The inside is super comfortable and inviting like they advertise. The menu is pretty large and has lots of options. We ordered the Green Chili Queso to begin. They boast on their menu that everything is made from scratch and I believe them, but the queso had a very processed taste to it that wasn't that tasty. My son on the other hand loved it. For my entree I went with the Ribeye and Pow Wow Shrimp combo with a side of off the cob elotes and green beans. I asked for a medium rare steak and it came out more along the line of a overcooked medium steak. Flavor was there though. The sides were both mediocre at best, they could've use a little more seasoning. The Pow Wow Shrimp was lightly battered shrimp that was tossed in creamy sweet chili sauce. It was pretty tasty but the sauce definitely made it lose any of its crispiness. Overall, this was a decent meal. My son enjoyed it but I thought it was just ok. I may come back at some point, but I'm not rushing back anytime soon. read more

The manager came over and since it was our first time she gave us a card for a free dessert and then we get a discount at our next visit and then the visit after that is I believe a buy one, get one free entrée.
