Bubba's 33 in Lubbock, TX, was a solid cocktail and dinner place for my family back on December 19, 2025. Never having been to Bubba's before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect when my brother's girlfriend suggested it after we went to view a drive-thru Christmas light tour. The sports-themed restaurant features a full bar, loudish music, and a variety of high-top and regular tables and booths. The women's restroom was mostly clean. Our waitress was attentive and kind. My drink took a while to come. I had the BLACKBERRY SMASH (Crown Royal hand shaken with a hint of Bubba's 33 sweet & sour, DeKuyper Razzmatazz Liqueur, and fresh blackberries - $9). The Monte Cristo was pretty delicious. It entailed "Roasted turkey, ham, American and jack cheese on wheat bread, batter-dipped, deep-fried and dusted with powdered sugar served with raspberry preserves" ($13.99). The fire fries (Habanero seasoning) paired well with it. My oldest had a really delicious looking club sandwich with regular fries ($13.99). My youngest had the bacon guacamole burger with fire fries ($14.99) and a Tropical Breeze mocktail ($5). She enjoyed her food, but wasn't drinking her mocktail and I asked why, then I tried it. It didn't taste like it should have. It wasn't good at all. Overall, I'd eat here again if friends wanted to meet up. read more

Second time I've ordered delivery from here. I gave them another chance 3 years later, despite the first time not going well. I ordered the Philly CHEESEsteak sandwich that boasted four different types of cheese. It arrived in a timely manner. Sandwich was dry, bread was not soft, steak was overcooked/burned, and there was barely any cheese, much less four different types. Extra cheese probably would've masked the dried out steak, so they missed an opportunity, there. They also missed the opportunity for me to order from them again. read more

I am currently on keto and was craving a burger. They offer lettuce wrapped burgers with the option of adding a fried egg and bacon. It was delicious! I am normally not a huge burger type of gal but this hit the spot. They also had healthier options instead of ordering the fries. I went with the broccoli with cheese. Which also hit the spot. My husband and I ordered the spinach dip and I had a few spoons of it without the bread & I was in heaven. So many different flavors. The service was great and the ambience was perfect for the sport lovers. So many televisions with all the different sports. We'll definitely be returning. read more

Well- for starters we sat outside for nearly ten minutes without so much as a hello- so we went back inside and asked for another section indoors. When it was a nice day outside I really have no idea why we didn't just change restaurants entirely and eat outside and possibly get staff that don't forget where their tables are. The inside wasn't much more impressive. We were about to leave when the waiter touched base and said he'd be with us in a moment. Our food was normal, our drinks had no sign of alcohol whatsoever-which some might say is a good thing- but if you're paying for that element, maybe just get a beer. read more

To be fair, my wife got the burger and it was great, so is the venue, but darn it guys taste the food you are serving!!!. The Monte Cristo I got was shocking and disgusting. It was actually a deep fried heavily beer battered, nearly burned brick of ham and cheese. I nearly called the SPS (sandwich protection services).. Steer clear from this abomination until they actually eat one of these and then fix the recipe. A truly wonderful Monte Cristo is derived from a nice French sandwich, gently egg dipped and lightly pan fried like French toast. Look it up. read more

The food was great! The service was good! I would definitely come back to see what else is good on the menu. The only downside was they did not have ingredients to make the first two dishes I wanted. There was LOTS of people dining at the time so if you're uncomfortable with the higher capacities I would try to go at a less busy time, maybe during the day! read more

Searched for dog friendly places and Bubbas 33 popped up. Called to confirm if patio was dog friendly to find out it is not. Was really looking forward to take our out of town guests for a pork tenderloin sandwich since they are originally from Iowa. Thankfully there's other places that are dog friendly. I attended an event there only a few weeks ago that was for dogs and dog groomers and dog related business. Please change your listing that your not a dog friendly restaurant other than service dogs. read more

Went to Bubbas last night before a playoff football game. We were seated quickly, by a very sweet girl who asked us if it was our first time there and what drink specials were. I know this is her job, but very few hostess do this anymore. The ambiance was fun. Music was good and not to loud you couldn't talk, but loud enough to enjoy it. Our table had pictures of famous people from around the area. And it was a fun game to try and figure out who was who. Now to the best part...... the 1/2 pound burgers are the best!! Pretty good food. Horrendously unprofessional and barbaric staff. I came here tonight expecting the same level of extraordinary service that I received at the other stores. Whether it be Albuquerque, (especially) Amarillo, and elsewhere, this chain represents a great example of quality late night eating with good hours. They try to excel past bar and diner food. They often do. The Lubbock location proved a disaster. No one knew if they had a happy hour menu or what was on it. The hostess summarily places you on or at the bar without asking. The iced tea that I asked way way in advance for the server to store for a refill, to avoid their way-before-closing throwing away ritual, was conveniently forgotten by the server. With a smile, she announced that it was discarded and made no effort to provide me with a substitute. The bartender made unnecessary loud and repeated banging sounds feverishly trying to close the bar 1/2 hour before closing. Mountains of dirty dishes sat at a table next to me with it taking the busboy nearly 40 minutes to address. Food is on the floor under the table and the hostess is surprised when I told her that I would prefer another table without the rotten food beneath it. The r owner needs to shut this place down for 3 weeks and train his or her staff. They are completely incompetent and bumbling, even for a smaller city of this ilk. read more

My brother who lives in Lubbock raves about this place so decided to give it a shot since we wanted some comfort food! And omggg it was delish!! Everything we got, from pizza to burgers to sandwich's man it did not disappoint! The food was soo enticing that I didn't get to take any pics and went straight to eating the food! We got habanero burger, hot and spicy chicken sandwich, 33 pizza and nachos for appetizer! The burger was my favorite!! We were seated at a table that seemed to be clean, until we realized our feet were in a pool of trash, ice, and dirty utensils. I showed a manager, thinking she'd either move us to a clean table or send someone to clean the one we were at. Unfortunately, she simply stated that she'd tell her people to do a better job in the future and went in about life, taking no pride in her business. When my son received his salad, we had to wait for the server to return to ask for a fork, then wait several minutes for her to actually return with one. My wife received chili that was tasty, but barely luke warm. Our food arrived, and we again had to ask for utensils, then wait for their arrival. My lasagna might've been good. I'm taking it home to put in in the oven, as I prefer it to be hot, or at least warm. The server seems to be clueless as to there being a problem, as she hasn't asked why I've only taken a single bite. Too many good options in Lubbock. I went on a date night out of town with my husband and I wanted to try something new as we visit Lubbock often. I went online to check out the menu and saw that there was a waitlist option. I used it and got on the waitlist before arriving. Once arriving I texted "here" and just waited outside until I got the text that my table was ready. Our wait time for a party of 2 was only 10 minutes. We ordered fired pickles as a started and we both got a burger with fries. The fried pickles were the biggest slices I have ever seen. The burger were cooked to perfect and each patty was so thick. The portions were great for the price. The atmosphere of Bubba's 33 was great. It's surrounded with TVs with different things to watch on it. Little league championship games, preseason games, and even the music video to the song that's playing. The service was great from everyone. Happy perky hostess, very helpful waitress, and great manger on duty. We will add this to the list of restaurants we enjoy in Lubbock. read more

Our party went in last night, our server was nice, but wasn't attentive and when someone from our group went to go looking for her they saw her sitting down even though we needed refills, extra sauces, etc. The manger on duty, Jackie, is the most unprofessional manager I have come across. There were many instances where we were unhappy with service and tried talking to her about it but she brushed us off about it and told my friend she still had to pay for her meal even though she didn't eat it because it was raw chicken. Our other friend couldn't enjoy her meal with us because the server got her the wrong egg and still charged her for an extra egg, by the time the egg came out (which the server forgot about) we were all done eating. It's incredibly disappointing to see how unprofessional an establishment can be when it comes to customer service, especially because i've enjoyed my other experiences at this restaurant. read more

Went to celebrate after a great baseball game. My son loves pizza, and we have heard that Bubba's has great pizza. Our party of 7 were sat in the back beside an AC unit that was being worked on and leaking water everywhere. We ordered and the food took a bit, but they were busy, so no biggie. The waiter forgot to ring in our son's pizza. We ate while he waited. The waiter put the pizza in a to go box and sat it on a table next to us. We didn't realize that his pizza was in the box. We thought he had brought a to go box for us to take home leftover pizza. We waited and a manager came by to ask if we were good. We spoke to her about still waiting in the pizza. That's when the waiter told us in was in the to go box he had put on the other table 10 minutes before. Totally unimpressed. It was like he wanted us to hurry up and leave because of his mistake. Or he was making it look like we ordered it to go. Frustrating experience and the whole reason we went there, the pizza, wasn't even fresh after sitting in the box that long. read more

I can't remember if I have ever given a 5 star, tonight I am giving a 5star to Bubba's33. The food was amazing! Here we are a party of 6 on a Saturday night at 6:30. Only a 20 minute wait and it was packed. We were there about 15 minutes and we had a table. Our server was sweet and helpful. Stephanie had a great personality. So we ordered wings, mac and cheese with bacon and chicken, onion rings, meat lasagna, 8 oz. grilled ribeye and Italian chopped salad.We all shared the food. There was nothing that wasn't perfect. Our evening was so enjoyable and this was our first time there, but not our last. The menu is full of delicious dishes and we can't wait to go back. Went last night for a baseball fundraiser to support friends. Service was very slow. My Turkey bacon sandwich was terrible. Bread was soggy, bacon was super flimsy and not crispy, cheese was greasy.....overall just terrible quality. Maybe it was just a bad day but I will not order that again for sure. read more

Went to celebrate my son's Birthday but whatever you do don't let them take your dessert if you take one with you... I took a cheesecake with writing & the candles in the bag & the cheesecake came back with the writing all messed up... where it was not handled correctly & they lost one of the candles that was in the package in the bag... they never did find it at all so we had to sing without any candles on it... Service wasn't great either & we had to sit in 2 separate booths because they didn't have a big enough table for 11 people to fit in. read more
