Side of bacon and egg kids meal

The service was very good. The coffee was okay, a bit too sweet. The place was very pretty. The meals were huge for the price which we loved coming from a big city like Dallas where 1 meal is $18-$20 at most places. There wasn't a ton of flavor, but it got us full.

Drink menu & Chicken & Waffles!

Food & Service great! Maple peach hot syrup- scrumptious! Going back for a Long Island Iced Coffee, soon!

Food wasn't bad but the price doesn't fully match what you get. Besides the pancakes all the other options came with below average portion sizes. On the upside we did get seated quickly and the eating environment was kept well and clean. Overall nothing is done better here that isn't done better elsewhere, but it could be worth a try if you're already in the area.

Back again! Excellent food and service! Another ribeye and eggs! Outstanding! Will come by every time i am in lubbock. Cant wait to try their sister restaurant- Stella's !! Impressed by their commitment to customer satisfaction!

This place was a good find and overall good. The tables favorite was the pumpkin pancake, onion rings and the biscuits. I got a combo of bacon, eggs, hash browns with cheese, and one biscuit and gravy The bacon was just okay, pretty thin, but crispy. The cheesy hash browns are melted cheese on top of shredded potatoes. I should have managed my expectations on the cheesy potatoes! The biscuit is by far the best, fresh and very big. I got the green Chile gravy, it was not spicy at all and had chunks of chiles. I'd go back and get biscuit sandwich or the bagel sandwich looked delicious from afar!

This may have actually been the most disappointing food I've ever had in Lubbock, I love local…read morerestaurants but this one just isn't it. This isn't to say this is the worst food in existence, but for the price point I can't recommend this place. Let me start by saying this restaurant seems to have a massive variation in the quality of its dishes. I imagine the positive reviews probably ordered some sort of specialty signature dishes as what I got was just reprehensible. Do not order the tomato soup and grilled cheese, don't even consider it. For $9 I got a small cup of soup and HALF of a sandwich, must of been pretty good for the price right?.... I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that when I accidentally burn grilled cheeses at home, they are still better in every category than what I received here. Zero flavor. The tomato soup looked really good, but also had such little flavor that dunking the grilled cheese in it actually made the grilled cheese worse. This meal would've been a tough sell if my 5 year old cousin made it for me when I was sick. My friend also gave their green beans cause they didn't want it... and I can see why, it was also horrifically bland. Also nabbed a few tater tots from the chicken steak and they were super breaded, not bad but not impressive. The "shining" star of the experience was the mulita I got as an appetizer, quite good, like a 3/5 good though, still rather dry and covered in cilantro, came with some sauce, but overall the best thing I had. The decor of the place was just baffling. High ceiling, high chairs, white walls, random TTU alumni adorning the walls, tvs with sports running. Seemingly trying to be a nice place, but the kind of nice place where you can watch the latest football game while having an overpriced beer and the worst grilled cheese of your life. The service I got was fine, on the lower side of quality (especially for the price point). I did like the brown overalls they were wearing, very steampunk. When I saw this place had an overwhelmingly positive reception, I was excited to go there, but this was one of the most disappointing places I've visited in Lubbock which sucks cause it's local. For $20 i got half a grilled cheese, worst than canned soup, and 3 mulitas (which I shared). Maybe to some they would say this was a middling experience, but have some standards for yourself people. I sincerely hope that I just had rotten luck picking the worst item on the menu, and this place is actually quite good, but that's all optimism and no reality. What I got was one star, please fix your grilled cheese. 3/15 (+ brown overalls, + mulita, -everything else) Fails in pretty much every category, I'm sure some dishes are good, but I won't revisit in some futile attempt to find one

I will give major props to the server, Mollie, and her manager for doing a phenomenal job resolving a minor issue with the order quickly, politely, and effectively. The atmosphere was fair with good music and humorous decor in the bathroom. The lights weren't for me, but others may like the statement. Where The Reserve was lacking was the food. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, but again there are better options around town. It did taste like it had been prepared in a genuine brick oven. The tortellini was bland. The queso was good enough, but nothing to get excited about. The salsa was downright terrible. The chips were actually phenomenal. The margarita made no attempt to cover up the strong taste of tequila. The Chilton tasted like club soda and not much else. Lastly, some of the surprise fees made me feel like I was booking air travel or paying a wireless bill rather than getting a nice meal. The final charge was a few dollars more than what was shown on the ticket. I assumed this was probably due to a service charge for paying with a card, although I didn't see it with a quick glance at the receipt. In all fairness, I'm sure this was disclosed somewhere and I overlooked it. I have come to accept this as the way of the world now. Also, when we ordered the chips and queso, we were asked if we wanted salsa with it. We accepted the salsa with the assumption that it was complimentary. Granted, since we were asked, I should have assumed that there was a charge for it. The charge was reasonable, although wasted because the salsa was so terrible. I did receive approximately a 5% discount for the order mix-up, and I actually ended up with a free pizza as well. The service and attentiveness were truly exemplary. I would give this place a second chance if I were in the area, but I certainly will not go out of my way for it.

There being about 20-25 people there, how was our meal prepared with no culinary attention to detail? For example: my wife ordered the chicken fried steak, mash potatoes and salad. Her steak was so "bland and lukewarm" that it literally removed all sensitivity of taste from our tongues..., no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. On our drive home that's all me talked about. Mash potatoes were likewise "lukewarm and bland"..., then factor in the gravy..., exactly the same. Her plate obviously sat at the window too long or perhaps her food was simply "sitting there" waiting for us to order it. Her salad: there was nothing "green" about it, it was "all the white stalks" of the lettuce, literally 4 olives, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, 3 half slices of tomatoes with "gigantic croutons (that was interesting)". My "blackened chicken salad"..., salad was the same as my wife's; double-dang because I love salads and being type 2 diabetic and having high blood pressure this would have been the perfect meal for me. HOWEVER; the chicken was the worst ever because it was saltier-than-a-1820's-sailor..., horrible..., and drier than a camel's hump in the Sahari. I never knew that a chicken breast could be abused like that on purpose. So, how does such a nice looking place sell someone "absolutely ridiculously horrible food".
