I had high expectations for this place! Tried coming here a couple times and it has been a 45 minute wait at least each time. Finally decided to wake up early on a Saturday morning to try this place out and beat the crowd. Unfortunately, the food was cold and it wasn't anything to rave about. The pancakes tasted like something I could've made at home. The avocado toast was terrible in my opinion. The avocado tasted like it came out of the small little containers from the grocery store that are premade. And my Husband's biscuits and gravy were cold and biscuits were old. If you are looking for brunch, just go to Stella's and enjoy the fancy brunch and mimosas. That said, they always have a line and lie about the wait time... "it will be 15 minutes, oops now it's 45 minutes," and hour later your name is called. Ambiance leaves to be desired as it's a basic cafe feel. For the extra coin you spend here for the same egg, twisted yolk wins. read more

It was Monday morning and it wasn't busy. We waited at the front to be seated and were clearly seen by the employees without anyone acknowledging us. It took a good 5 minutes to be seated. I love Stacked! We go after church often, which is their busiest time, and they make sure everyone gets in in a timely fashion. The set up is cute and they always got spunky music on. They have good service! Your coffee, water, and sweet tea is always topped off. Their coffee is kinda blah and bitter, but (little tip) if you add salt and sugar, it cancels out the bitterness, so no biggie. They're a bit pricey, but you get a good amount food for the price. I love their Nutella toast, eggs, hash browns, waffles, pancakes, and parfait. Lots of cool options. Highly reccomend! read more

Food wasn't bad but the price doesn't fully match what you get. Besides the pancakes all the other options came with below average portion sizes. On the upside we did get seated quickly and the eating environment was kept well and clean. This place was a good find and overall good. The tables favorite was the pumpkin pancake, onion rings and the biscuits. I got a combo of bacon, eggs, hash browns with cheese, and one biscuit and gravy The bacon was just okay, pretty thin, but crispy. The cheesy hash browns are melted cheese on top of shredded potatoes. I should have managed my expectations on the cheesy potatoes! The biscuit is by far the best, fresh and very big. I got the green Chile gravy, it was not spicy at all and had chunks of chiles. I'd go back and get biscuit sandwich or the bagel sandwich looked delicious from afar! read more

Our waitress Cassidy was excellent. My food was not great. It good. Apparently the cooks don't read what the server writes down. She had the pad down where we could see what she wrote down and it was correct. But my wife's order was all wrong. They (the cooks) put the wrong items on the order that were clearly written on the order, AND the sides were wrong. Not Cassidy's fault but clearly the cooks. read more

Stacked never disappoints. I had 2 eggs over easy with bacon and hash browns. My son had 3 pancakes, 1 over easy egg and bacon. Sourdough toast was included. And as always the coffee was excellent. The only hiccup was paying the check. I noticed a fee for using a card so I paid cash. My change was $9.00 short. I mentioned this to the server and he mumbled something about being out of something and handed me a five. Still short. He handed me another five and walked off. Now I had too much change so I gave it back in the tip. Point being, learn math and be prepared to accept cash. read more

After driving by this place numerous times, I finally decided to try it. While the wait experience Sunday at 2pm was muddled and painful, with noisy, dating-age suitors trying to prove to their girlfriends just how much, and how loudly, they can rattle about nothing (tennis shoes and dogs, in this case), for the sake of talking, alone, coupled with noisy acoustics, screaming babies--a whole lot of them--and more, I was so turned off that I almost ran back to the Cheesecake Factory for their breakfast. But I stayed. What unfolded was a genuinely good, inexpensive breakfast venue with surprisingly good value, service and food. Listing everything separately, the eggs, hash browns and bacon were perfect. Orange juice was of reasonable quality for the price. The waffle wasn't good. Not unlike all other waffles I've had in Lubbock, it was limp, tasteless, and soggy. They need to invest in a vintage, American-made 1940's styled waffle maker with cast iron sidewalls that will make a thick and crisp Belgian waffle. This waffle ended up being, In consistency and taste, akin to a wet shoe sole. They did serve real butter and the syrup, while not real maple, was at least warmed up and adequate for this price point. Two things are problematic here: the ambiance and the waffle. On the ambiance front, you could say that we have a chicken and egg problem, excuse the pun. Did the restaurant do something to attract boorish, loud, annoying people, as there is an inordinate number of them. Or, did the restaurant do something to bring out the vulgarity on otherwise potentially civilized folk? I suspect the former. Hard floors. Hard surfaces everywhere. Trash on the floor. Loud obnoxious people with no separation between tables makes for an unpleasant dining experience. Sorry no photos. read more

This was a pretty decent place to grab some brunch! Our waitress was very helpful and patient with me since I ordered a lot of food. I ordered the Brisket Eggs Benedict, Pancake Flight, and Chicken and Waffles with a side of hash browns and bacon. The eggs benny were pretty good! The yolks were super runny and the flavor was great! The brisket was pretty tender. The Pancake Flight was good too, except the bacon pancakes had pretty much 2 tiny chopped pieces of bacon in them and that's it. The chicken on the Chicken and Waffles was burnt, but only parts of it. I don't know how they managed to only burn part of the chicken but they did. The hashbrowns didn't taste like much and they were crunchy, but that bacon.. that bacon was delicious. It wasn't too wiggly and it wasn't too crunchy. It has such a great, almost smoked, flavor. I tried Stacked today. I was in the area doing a porch pickup otherwise this is out of my driving range. I got the chicken fried chicken, eggs over easy, and home fries. It was great! Came on a Saturday morning around 11:30 AM and was put on a waiting list for about 30-40 min (which is expected for a busy brunch day). Received a text in the estimated time that our table was ready, and we were seated promptly when we arrived. But, waited another 25-30 to receive our food after we ordered. Our waiter Zach was very friendly and attentive, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive as well. I ordered the Avocado toast, with a side of turkey sausage and their sweet potato "hash" (which was just diced up sweet potato and nothing else). The toast itself was okay, but it was pretty thin so it got soggy fairly quick. The avocado mash was very basic with no seasoning, and topped off with cooked spinach, tomato, and choice of cooked eggs (which isn't specified on the menu). The turkey sausage was good and flavorful. The sweet potato "hash" on the other hand was a disappointment and not a "hash" at all, just some diced pieces of sweet potato that they charged $3 for as a side. We also ordered a waffle on the side, but their waffle maker wasn't working today apparently and asked if a stack of pancakes were okay as a substitution, which we were okay with... Until we got the pancakes, which was only a stack of 2, and they were very flat and very cold. Overall, decent brunch spot if you have no where else to go. read more
