I came in about 6:00 on a weeknight, not too busy or crowded. Greeted by the bartender/waitress, and then it was ALL downhill. Ordered a draft, cold but weak on carbonation; the ribs came out REALLY quick, but tasted like they had lived under a heat lamp and "refreshed" with BBQ sauce from the fridge - cold, but the fries were warm. Almost through with everything, 2/3rds of my beer and the ranch beans remained. I covered my beer with my phone and went to the restroom to wash my hands; no napkin wipes to clean up after the ribs. For one of our monthly family dinners, we decided to finally give Ike's a try. It's generally not a bad restaurant. The service was fantastic, and the menu has a broad range of offerings. In fact, it's almost too much, making it difficult to pin down a theme for the restaurant and to make up my mind on what to eat. We all got a little something different, and everything tasted great. I ordered the fajita bowl, which was a bit different from all the sandwiches at the table. It did not disappoint on flavor, but was lacking in volume. The general mood and ambiance of the restaurant is caught somewhere between attempting to appeal to three different crowds: sports fans who like bars and beer, large families with kids, and couples on a romantic date wanting low lighting. It was quite loud inside when we visited, and this all makes for a fairly average overall experience. Worth a visit, for sure, but nothing special or unique. read more

Nice casual place. We had outdoor seating in beautiful weather, and both enjoyed delicious meals. Service was quick and professional.I had a cranberry/walnut salad that had a modest portion of well-seasoned grilled chicken--which I appreciate because usually salads like that have far more meat than I can consume. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with this catering team! From the very beginning, they were incredibly helpful during the ordering process and made everything so easy. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the quality and generous portion sizes we received. On the day of the event, they went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They even cut and served my cake, which I didn't even order from them, and that meant so much to me. It was such a thoughtful touch. The food was phenomenal. We received so many compliments from our guests! The Baja Chicken and the mashed potatoes were huge hits. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. They also packed up all the leftovers for us to take home, which was incredibly helpful at the end of a long night. I truly couldn't have asked for a better catering experience. We've been to brunch twice in the last month on Sunday. When you get seated the music is blaring and last week we had to ask 3 times to please turn the music down so we could have a conversation at our table . The food is a little above average. read more

We're at Ike's fairly often but we tried a few new things this time. I ordered my familiar wedge salad, no onions with a side of vinaigrette. We also ordered the chips and poblano salsa for the first time, and the steak fajitas for the first time. The salsa was excellent, with no heat and great flavor. The fajitas were very flavorful, as were the grilled onions and peppers, which I usually skip. We didn't eat any of the flour tortillas, but I took them home for later. Garrett was always there with my Diet Coke and provided great service overall. The music was at just the right volume and all the TV's come in handy. Great experience! read more

first thing, the hostess were so rude and had bad attitudes when we requested to move tables!! when we moved tables no one came up to ask us for drinks for 20 minutes! then the busser girl had to take our drink orders and bring them out, she then said our waiter would be busy and would be with us soon. THEN we sat for another 30 minutes no one taking our order we weren't even sure who our waitress was!! THEN again the same busser girl was pointing at us and talking to a server and still no one was taking our order all because we wanted to change seats!! FINALLY the manager melissa came to help us, she was super sweet and offered an appetizer on the house. This place needs better service!! read more

One of our favorite places in Lubbock. Locally owned! Food is always consistantly good Manager is AWSOME!! Our waiter Misael did an excellant job....very attentive to our needs, all our orders were perfect! Only thing is check your ticket to make sure you got your specials included...we did not get our discount for late night drinks & Fried Zucchini. The food was awesome! We ordered the fried zucchini, was was deep friend in fresh oil, light and crispy but not over done and the zucchini was perfectly cooked. We also ordered the south west egg rolls. They were cooked in fresh oil and wasn't over cooked, they had lots of flavor and was also light and crispy. We ordered the flatbread pizza, California. We came here on a lovely spring day, there is ample parking and the menu is extensive! Every staff member we encountered was super kind and friendly. We had caprese steak salad and beef fajita bowl. Both were outstanding. One of us ordered a margarita, that was the only disappointing item of the meal, not very tasty, upcharged for specialty tequila, and it seemed to have no alcohol. We so enjoyed our evening at Ike's Woodfire Grill. The service (thank you Maddie) was exceptional as our server was attentive and friendly. We share a cheeseburger pizza and devoured it as it was very tasty. There was a delay in getting my Texas margarita; however, it definitely was worth waiting for and it turned out for the best as I enjoyed it while I ate. There are a couple of items on the menu that my husband and I would like to try, so we plan to return. We ate indoors, but the patio was full of customers enjoying live music. read more

Well happy Father's Day to me..... this is the first and last time I come to this establishment. I ordered beef fajitas because I thought it would come with a lot of tender meat. I was wrong on both accounts - burnt and not much. I also asked if I l could substitute the pico for extra cheese and the waitress said it wouldn't be a problem. You can see in the picture how much extra cheese came with the meal. My wife ordered the California flatbed pizza and she said it was ok, however the salad on the side was horrible. The cucumbers were frozen and the salad tasted like cardboard. My son ordered a hamburger and took two bites and said he wasn't hungry anymore. Side fact, this location is cursed or something as I have seen restaurants come and go from this physical location........ looks like another one will be coming soon.... We brought in a group of 30 for lunch on a Friday. People were coming and going, ordering when they were ready. We were celebrating and we there 3 hrs. Took my family out to Ike's on the recommendation of a friend. There were four of us and we ended up ordering from several sections of the menu; chicken fried chicken with cream gravy and mashed potatoes, a calzone with a caesar side salad, a bacon cheeseburger with fries, and a bbq roasted chicken with twice baked potato, charro beans, and a caesar side salad. Almost everything was perfect, full of flavor and satisfying - the two minor complaints were that the caesar salads had no parmesan and the twice baked potato was burned on the bottom. The charro beans are the best I've ever eaten; pintos, bacon, fresh chopped jalapeno, (I think there was tomato) and plenty of broth. The service was okay, but not great - the waiter had to be reminded that we ordered salads, so they were served after our entrees, and he didn't make sure our drinks stayed full. The atmosphere is somewhere between sports bar and theme restaurant. The '70s and '80s rock wasn't too loud and there were plenty of TV's with the Tech game on. Ike's is the kind of place I could take out of town visitors to, because the menu has lots of options and everything tasted great. read more
