I have to preface by explaining something. My wife and I drove two and a half hours to Lubbock for a concert. On the drive she searched for some place on the way to stop for dinner before the show. We got informed, during dinner, that the show had been rescheduled. All of that is important because the first thing my wife said after we found out was, "It was still worth the trip for this food." That's how good it was. My wife got the Pink Parmigiana, one of the house specialties and probably one of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was also quite good. The place was busy, but we were seated immediately. Our server was attentive and helpful but didn't hover. I really can't think of a single complaint about the dining experience.

I've had this place twice in the past week, it's amazing. I had their Eggplant Parmesan w/ pink sauce (picture shown); it's easily the best Italian food Lubbock has to offer.

I've been to Italian Garden many times and the food is always good. The service is great and the atmosphere is as well. This review is a reminder to pay attention to the menu and ask questions if you're not sure. We had the calamari, which is the best in town in my opinion. We also had salads, which have improved over the years. The vinaigrette is amazing. The entree is the issue. The flavor of the shrimp and crab ravioli was fine, but the heat caught me off guard. There is a flame symbol on the menu and it states there are cherry peppers. It didn't mention the jalapeño cream sauce, or the jalapeños slices. It was really hot. Not something you expect when ordering Italian food. Just be aware. It's still a favorite restaurant, but this dish is not an option.

Food was only alright. Restaurant is mainly helped by good atmosphere and great staff. When I talked to a staff member about having issues with my meal they were fully cooperative with fixing the issue. I ordered the cheese ravioli with marinara by mistake, and the replaced it with Alfredo at no extra cost.

The service was amazing! Both host and wait staff were extremely attentive. The food was "okay." The appetizers tasted to be frozen items, reheated to be served. The main pasta dishes though, was good. I'll definitely be back for those! Overall, a really nice spot to head to for a quick casual meal. If I could give an additional 0.5 star, I most definitely would.

All the food was delicious and our server, Mia, was delightful. Super aware and made really sweet interactions before, during and after our dinner. 5/5 would absolutely recommend! I forgot to take a picture of the mushroom appetizers but those were absolutely hella good. Theres not a ton of parking in the area so keep that in mind.

Great location. Amazing food. They were very good about turning my chicken parm gluten free. So it's grilled with gluten free pasta. Price was just just right!

Very quick service. The venue is semiformal and well decorated. I had the chicken parmigiana with pesto sauce and it was exquisite.

The location is nice if you're anywhere near the Tech campus area. It's right on Broadway. Parking can be tough if it's busy. There is street parking and a lot, but neither are the most plentiful. The food is the real star though. Their wings are incredible, and they don't mess around with the spice. They can be hot! I love the jalapeño poppers. Where else gives you a real popper and not just a frozen and deep fried version? As for the pizza...I'm pleased to say it's the best part of an already awesome place. I will start off by saying sometimes the wait is excruciatingly slow for dine-in, whether it is almost empty or packed. However, takeout is usually pretty on top of it. Capital wins out if you like your crust a little doughy. There is this intense softness to their pizza that it is almost like tasting a cloud. It is legit. Some personal favorites of mine are their Hot Honey pizza, but this last time I ordered a Classic Margherita, and I loved it. It is really like no other pizza place I have been to, and I always find enjoyment in their immensely doughy crusts. It used to be only order over the phone, but it is nice to order online using Slice now because you do not have to preplan and prepare for a phone call. You just pick your pizzas and order. It is great. I enjoy dining in as well. The place feels pretty small, but there is a big overflow room in the back on busy nights. They have a full bar, which is pretty cool for keeping the party going. You do have to pay a little more than at your typical pizzeria, but I think the tradeoff is worth it. What...was that?…read more Perhaps that's the issue. I remember what One Guy's used to be. It was formerly a place that I'd recommend to anyone visiting from out of town as a local favorite. It was a place I went when I cared less about convenience and using a coupon for some chain pizza and instead wanted something absolutely delicious. Sadly, it's not that anymore. The salad out front was decent enough, albeit pretty basic and definitely nothing special. The calzone was watery. Yes, watery. I don't even know how or why, but there was an excessive amount of watery liquid coming out of it. The pepperoni pizza was decent enough, but definitely no better than you're going to get from a chain, or (I can't believe I'm saying this) frozen. The sauce was particularly off-putting and gave me a different kind of nostalgia than I thought I would get eating here. It reminded me of eating Chef Boyardee vlin microwavable bowls as a kid. I was told that after taking the leftovers home and trying them the next day, they were even worse reheated. I didn't have that misfortune myself as I was done with it after the meal. The service was adequately good, but there was no crowd like I would have expected, and it's easy to see why. I'm fully aware of the reasons things may have gone a different direction (specifically downhill) at One Guy's and that there are now more options in town. I just hoped that this location still had some of that pizazz that made it special. Sadly, I was disappointed.
