If we could rate this business a negative number we would! We had been working with the manager to reserve a the larger of 2 rooms in order to conduct a large business meeting with about 20 of our consultants on Monday the 14th of September 2026, at 7pm. Red Zone agreed to provide the space for free as long as we ordered food. Which we happily agreed. When we got there and explained who we were, they showed us to a space that was not closed off and there was a great deal of ambient noise as well as that space was not able to accommodate our group without negatively impacted our business meeting nor the other customers in the cafe. When we explained to the 3 waitresses that we were promised the larger and more secluded room, their response was "well, we gave it to another group. If you don't like it, you can leave..." My wife and I were stunned. Never have we been so disrespected by someone in a customer service position. Needless to say, we won't be back. And my wife was a loyal customer for decades! Not only did you lose a 20 person table that would have provided a LOT of revenue and tips, we will ABSOLUTELY make sure everyone we know, hears about how awful Red Zone Cafe treats customers and groups. I highly encourage people to stay FAR away from this business. They are not even remotely customer friendly. You need to do better! Have the day you deserve! read more

This place is a well oiled machine! We arrived late on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but tables available. The service all around was great-from seating, to ordering, to table cleanup when we were done. Everyone was so friendly and service was fast-from ordering to completion-I think it took only 35 minutes for our party of 4. The food was tasty. My daughter and I shared a Denver Omette and Short stack. My husband and son each had a meat lovers omelette . I don't know if I ever heard my son say "too much meat" before. He said it was more like they put a pile of meat on a plate and laid some eggs over it-instead of cooking the meat with the eggs. Ate big breakfast Friday morning. Eggs as cold as if they had been refrigerated, got up and refilled my coffee myself twice. Big breakfast put in front of me and had to ask for silverware 3 times to start eating. Original waitress took order and never saw her again, other one brought the ticket and never got the water I ordered with coffee. One waitress is very good here, most others don't seem to care. Has been good once a week when I have eaten breakfast here in the past if you get the good waitress but she''s not always there. We tried this place because it was rated 4.5 stars. We expected old school greasy spoon, but it's not quite there. The burger was sonic quality. The curly fried fries taste like old fish. They need to change the grease. The peppers were missing from the burger. Dr. Pepper was forgotten until we asked for it on the way out. Salad was good. My chicken was really late, then brought out with a slice of bread on top after I said I was allergic to wheat. Corn and mashed potatoes instead of the requested broccoli. She did bring extra dish of fresh broccoli after. Need ceiling tiles, grease trap, and filters changed. Bathroom was decent, but toilet wasn't flushing and sink is permanently stained, plus more dirty ceiling tiles and filters. Maybe breakfast foods are better here?? read more

I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I believe it's immoral to just post negative reviews and not reward businesses that really exceed your expectations. Here's some background information: I ate at a restaurant and had a less than stellar experience so I posted a review. I received a response that literally compared apples to oranges in what I perceived as an attempt to justify pricey, inaccurate and poor customer service. Consequently, I decided to compare apples to apples and here is where I ended up: After reading and contemplating the response I received from the owner, Robert F., following my experience at The Catch, I wanted to provide a more accurate comparison. The owner graciously compared the prices and portions of The Catch's fish entree to Canes' chicken tender basket. So fellow Yelpers, I present what I believe is a more "apples to apples" review. Just to spice things up - let's play a game of "Go Fish!" The Catch will be abbreviated "TC" and a locally owned and operated restaurant, "The Red Zone," will be abbreviated "RZ." Do you have friendly staff? RZ - Yes, in fact 3 different wait staff consistently checked on my table, told me they appreciated my coming in, and wished a good evening a total of 10 separate occasions during my meal TC- No, the only interaction beyond taking my order was "can I have your number". GO FISH! Was the order accurate? RZ - Yes, my order and my husband's order arrived at the same time and was 100% complete including salad dressing and crackers for the side salads TC - No, According the owner's response, I was charged for a Large combo (2 filets, 4 shrimp) and received an INCOMPLETE (1 filet 2 shrimp) smaller combo that was suppose to consist of 1 filet 3 shrimp. GO FISH! Did your order arrive in a timely fashion? RZ - Yes, I received my full order in 13 minutes and 8 seconds after placing my order TC - No, It took 45 minutes for my husband to receive his order, and 52 minutes (that's almost a hour peeps) to receive my incomplete order. GO FISH! Was the meal worth the price? RZ - Absolutely, I received 3 large filets, 2 sides(of my choice without an up charge), and a large side salad for $8.29 TC - No, not only was the order inaccurate, it cost $13.99 for again, 1 filet, 2 shrimp and hush puppies (FYI- if I wanted fried okra there is an up charge- whereas RZ would have given me fried okra without an additional charge) GO FISH! Do you openly support local schools and promote the community? RZ - Definitely, there is not a single wall in the restaurant that doesn't showcase local high school posters and Texas Tech! TC - No, not a single poster or picture. GO FISH! Did you witness any other problems during your visit? RZ - No, I purposefully listened for anyone to complain about prolonged wait times and orders that were wrong. Families were smiling, wait staff was friendly, attentive, and 2 customers were greeted personally by their names upon sitting in the section next to my table TC- Yes, several orders were wrong, the customer next to my table had to ask for his tarter sauce, and the excuse for the delayed service and incomplete orders was "we recently changed to a new ordering system after the new management - a corporation out of Oklahoma- took over. We are trying to fix the problems." So, if I understood the cashier and the wait staff correctly, The Catch is no longer locally managed?!?! GO FISH! Both restaurants have a drive thru window for convenience. I made sure to visit both restaurants around 6:30-6:45p so extra wait time was not to blamed on peak versus off-peak dining. The Red Zone has more tables and more menu items including breakfast all day. Consequently, I would expect a longer wait time for a larger customer base with a wider menu selection. Obviously my hypothesis was inaccurate! I have provided pics of both my meals. To summarize, The Catch lost the comparison game. Hope this review gives my fellow Yelpers some food for thought because after further review, I know where to get more bang for my buck! Billie, my waitress, approached and checked on me 5 out of the 10 times, a smiling waitress that was technically responsible for the table in front of me checked on me 2 times, another really friendly waitress struck up an entertaining conversation about me bringing my own bottle of Malt Vinegar to eat on my fish (I love the stuff on fish!) twice during my dining experience, and then another waitress working tables near the exit door thanked me for coming in! I don't know if Greg G., a cook, was responsible for my delicious and perfectly prepared meal, but I was 100% satisfied with my fish entree. Red Zone you really rocked it last night, and I wanted to let you know. It warms my soul to see all the veterans and local police officers consistently in the restaurant. Went in for brunch the front door girl pointed us to a table and when the next group came in right behind us walked them over to their table. We sat for a good 5 mins or so before another older woman rudely walked up to the table and basically demanded what we wanted to drink no hi how are you nothing just demand drink order. At that point we should have walked out and went elsewhere. Upon receiving our drinks from yet another woman she took out order all while acting as if we weren't there as paying customers as well as the surrounding tables kept talking a laughing and hugging other people walking in etc. we waited well over the normal wait time to receive our food which normally I wouldn't care if the food was fresh and hot by the time we receive it and it wasn't. 3 other tables that came in after us got their food before us. The bacon was rubbery with zero flavor the omelets were cold and poorly thrown together. I will not be returning to this establishment again. It used to be an amazing place to eat but when the ownership was changed due to unfortunate circumstances few years back the food and customer service just isn't good at all. read more

Finally ate here. It was great. Food was delicious. Services was great. Kept our table cleared. Always making sure our coffee was filled. Eggs had no shells in them. Large ham steak filled the plate. Cute cute place. When I travel I always like to venture to places that I have never tried or heard of. This place is definitely worth 4 stars. I didn't give them 5 stars for two reason, one - they have a limited menu two- the one waitress one table is not conducive to how busy it is. Perhaps I just came on a very busy day. Anyway, I got the breakfast and it was made exactly how I wanted it! Tops off to the cooks. Love how there are enough staff. That is where I wish they would help each other more. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed. Our food sat under the hot lamp for a few minutes. The cooks had to ask another waitress to help her bring it to us. Waitress only came once to check on us. She was totally nice just not attentive. She was busy. The pork chops come with gravy on top so if you have picky eaters make sure you say no brown sauce. Catfish was yummy. French toast was to die for. Nachos as an appetizer were super yummy. Burgers were ok. Not the best, they did not have a home made taste like the other foods. Chips and salsa are ok.
