We stop here for lunch or dinner when going to Lubbock. We usually order Chili rellenos, enchiladas, fajitas. They are all soo good. Not only that but the staff are the best. Easy 5 stars. Will be coming back over and over. read more

As an advanced warning, my review is based on only one visit here that wasn't the greatest experience for me. Almost as soon as we sat down, an ear-piercing grinding sound assaulted us from the other side of the kitchen wall. It lasted until a while after we placed our order, but I definitely would not have stayed had it continued. The food flavors were certainly unique compared to my usual Mexican restaurant experience, right down to the beans, rice, and salsa. This means it could be an acquired taste to some, but maybe a more authentic one to my untrained palate. The salsa with the chips included a green sauce that was avocado based and quite refreshing, but note that chips here are not endless. Prices weren't bad, and they weren't busy, though I'm sure they can get quite busy for lunch and dinner. Our staff interaction was okay, but fairly disinterested. So far, Chelo's - other side of the highway heading out of Wolfforth - is a much better option nearby. read more

Awesome queso, also be sure and try the bacon wrapped cheese filled jalapeños (seeded so they're medium spicy) chicken and beef fajitas were good but a little sparse on the Beef , shrimp tacos were good. Great food, and the young man that waited on us was polite and personable. My girls and I went there on Monday after a junior high game, and we were the only ones left. (Close to closing time). Everyone was so nice and didn't make us feel like they were ready to kick us out. We'll go back there! read more

I passed by this little restaurant and saw a bunch of cars, assuming it was good. So I ended up coming the next night and I was not impressed. We walked to our table and it was dirty. The server was just rude and very short with us. She was very pushy with us wanting to order and wasn't very nice when we asked about a certain product they served. As well as when we were paying for the check, she was very blunt acting like she just wanted us out of the place. The place was very overpriced for the quality of the food. It was not that good, and we had 6 people there with us, all with different dishes and they all agreed. I had the fajita plate and there was very little food served for $16. On top of that there was hair found in the chicken. The best product that was served was the water and chips. Again I'm not impressed with this place and don't recommend eating here. read more

I used to love this place the food and service was always amazing. It's been awhile since I have been there and last night the food was one note. Everything on my plate tasted the same. Beans, rice, spinach enchiladas all had the same seasoning. My wife's plate was the exact same way and taste. I guess the cook lacks culinary proficiency. Put away the barracho seasoning or whatever all purpose seasoning you think is a winner and get back to seasoning each dish with purpose. Even the queso had the same seasoning in it. Sadly unless someone tells me the food is better I won't be back. They also might do a better job of dusting fixtures and window sills in the future. Our server was great. read more

Traveling in town for a install and got recommended this place for dinner, Absolutely wonderful service and food was delicious. Food is good. More authentic than most Mexican food restaurants. Came in for lunch at 1145, which was good for us. It did start to pick up around 1220. We didn't wait long for food, but again... It wasn't busy. Service was good. Very friendly. We had the chicken enchiladas, beef fajitas, Jalito Plato and spinach enchiladas. Chicken enchilada eater said it was good but a little bland. Jalito Plato eater said it was very good. Beef fajita eater said it was very good, but only got 2 small tortillas so could not make a third burrito that there was enough meat and veggies for. I had the spinach enchilada and I really liked them. Very flavorful. The Cilantro sauces was flavorful as well. The beans were to bacony for me. Rice was good. Chips and salsa were good. A little spicey, but not so much that our "nothing hot" eater was able to still enjoy. Most everything on the menu was $8.99. Not cheap, but not expensive. Didn't see a kids menu but there could be a separ one. I will bring my family here. Not the best Mexican food in the area, but very good for this area. read more

Great food and prices. Meat in the beef enchiladas and tacos was really good. Rice/beans not to bad. Hot sauce was good and chips had some flavoring on them. Seemed like a family owed business, service was a bit slow but friendly. 1 person running register and working the tables. Find your own seat and pay at the register. My curiosity was insurmountable as I saw the twinkle of the lights & the crazily packed parking lot as I buzzed by this establishment 100's of times en route to the country. (In the Wolfforth area btw). Finally veered off the road & was immediately seated & greeted by a more than winsome waitress. Chips & salsa are a great indicator of the backbone of the restaurant & both were fresh perfectly spiced to meet all West Texas palates. Ordered two different types of queso & one was a white almost alfredo like composition with cilantro & fresh herbs. The other traditional but, exquisite with a nice sharp cheddar bite & appropriate heat. We must discuss the carne asada which was inclusive of moist chunks of pork encased in a vast amount of the quite warm, delectable red sauce which I could probably drink... Let me not forget the fresh tortillas which melt in your mouth. Environment is super clean, decor not up to date but, truthfully is that not part of the appeal? I am guessing circa early 90's... Thursdays I am told are bottomless margaritas & the rest of the time is BYOB so, be prepared to bring your sangria or tecate accompaniment. They provide glasses & do have wine opening accoutrement!!! read more

This place is fantastic. You can't beat it for lunch, and they prices are great. I ordered a large lunch for business, and they were very accommodating. Burritos, tacos, and the chips and salsa. Everyone at the office were very happy, and specifically mentioned the burritos. $7 - $10 out the door per person, great staff! read more
