Food was okay. Chips and salsa were good. Restaurant was out of many ingredients needed to make key menu items. Unable to order enchiladas and one other item (I can't remember the name) because they didn't have enchilada sauce. We settled on a burrito and brisket plate. We came here because of the reviews already on here. I have been burned on this concept more than once but DEFINITELY not this time. First the young man at the counter( who wishes to remain anonymous) AKA Gomez was very friendly and charming! We came in just before closing and they were still very happy to serve us. The Queso and the salsa were both really good, plus the chips were yummy too. We ordered the enchilada platter and the made to order burrito. They were both delicious! I stay away from chile rellenos, generally. I had the perfect one once in Juarez, a million years ago, and as a rule, don't order them at restaurants because I don't want to be disappointed. My boyfriend told me this was his favorite taco place, and as divey as it is, I was eager to try it. When we pulled up we were told there was a daily special, it was chile rellenos, and I KNEW. The moment had come, it was time to try a restaurant chile relleno. I was not disappointed. It could stand to be spicier, but I'm sure they have to tone things down for a white West Texas audience. My boyfriend has nothing but praise for the tacos, they have barbacoa on the menu, and I am smitten. I can't wait to try what else the place has!!! %%% Had the barbacoa twice now and it is SO GOOD. I went to this hole in wall a few times this past week and I love it!. It looks really ghetto on the outside but don't let that stop you from trying this place. I ordered the beef enchiladas and it was tex-mex style which I usually am not a fan of. However, these were great! I will definitely get it again. They also have a burrito called the "Bobby". It has brisket, onion, potatoes, cheese and jalapenos. So delicious! The burrito is only 4 bucks and huge. This is becoming my favorite spot in Lubbock for Mexican. Burritos are always awesome, and the service is very friendly. I've been eating hear for nearly a decade, and I've yet to be disappointed. Their carne guisada burritos are fantastic and worth a try. The salsa is not the bland crap you find at some other places, I'm looking at you Josie's!
