We were in town for a sports event, & didn't want the same chain food we could get at home. Decided to try Savannah's, & it was GREAT! Parking lot was 3/4 full; that's usually a good indication of the food & service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We chose our seats, & the chips & salsa came almost immediately. The waitress took our order & brought our drinks quickly. Food arrived soon, & it was piping hot, exactly what we ordered, & SO GOOD! Our waitress checked on us several times. She said the crowd was 'mostly locals'. There were lots of families & friends in there, & everyone was enjoying the food & atmosphere. We'll go back! read more

This place sucks! I ordered food to be picked up and she said ok be about 15 mins. I wait 15 mins and then go inside and the lady said I tried to call you but we are out of beef fajita meat for your quesadilla but we can make you chicken. Like why would I sit and wait another 15 mins to get something I don't want after waiting the 15 mins. The service here has gone down hill the last 4-5months... you call in and orders are no longer right missing something and they are just rude! I hate going in there and the staff has there kids there while they work. And their cokes are always awful. I've only been there three times just gave up last time their drinks are awful and they say OK when you tell them. And still want to charge you for it and if you want to want to charge you for the tea too.The staff is always on there phones.And some waitresses are so rude, especially when they're related to each other. I've always but I only have those experiences at lunchtime twice.sometimes you just got to give up on a place. read more

I work in Levelland and this is the first time I have tried Savannah's restaurant it was a nice surprise. The food was hot and tasty, my beef enchilada was hot (with heat) and good red Chile, the tacos were full of meat and crispy. Beans and rice were good. The queso is basic but good, which I prefer, and the chips were light and crispy. Overall a nice experience and I will be back. read more

Dined there on Memorial Day. The atmosphere is small town non-chic. Old tables and chairs, and not in a great way, great you. Yet, so do friendly smiles. It took a while to decide on the food as there were several choices. In the meantime, the fresh chips and salsa were good. The salsa was spicier than most in Lubbock--had a slow delayed burn. The beans and rice were good, not overcooked. The taco (corn) and enchiladas were fine. Basic. I noted that a U.S. Foods calendar was hanging up. So likely foods are sourced from, well, nothing special. The choice of dining in town is slim. This is a great place for solid food. The waitress seemed somewhat apologetic for the restaurant and she had good reason. First, be aware that they do not accept cards of any type. The chips were good but the salsa left a lot to be desired. We ordered queso and guacamole, neither of which were worth the money. The beef enchiladas were fairly good, the tamales were dry, the cheese enchiladas were rubbery and filled with #5 yellow crayola, the chalupa was okay, the tacos were pretty good. Service was friendly and the food was served fast. We enjoyed the food as it was tasty. If you like onions on your food you need to request it since they don't automatically put onions on the enchiladas or tacos. Their sopapillas are soft and served fresh from the fryer.
