What a delightful experience! LoneStar is a well maintained and managed restaurant. It is very clean. Gina (our server) was very efficient with a great attitude and smile. Great little surprise in Brownfield, Texas. Their gumbo was top notch with great flavor and good spice heat. I ended up putting the last half of my fried crawlfish tails in the gumbo. The chef might disapprove, but I like this pivot of flavors and textures. They went well together. I'll make the drive from Lubbock again for sure. read more

We traveled all day and this restaurant was recommended by the front desk hotel gal. Great variety in the menu. I had the shrimp Alfredo. It hit the spot. Ate here for a second time on a trip back home. I LOVE that I can get a plain piece of fish with sides. The mate went with the gumbo and found it delicious. ASK for the side salad because it is not on the menu. The dining room was almost full, and our service was just fine. This is not a romantic setting. We were passing through, looking for a place to eat that had more variety than a typical burger joint. While this is a a mile or so from the highway, the food was served quick and was tasty. We had a bowl of gumbo and chicken fried rice, adding a side of veggies (the chicken fried rice was just that - chicken and rice). Service couldn't be better! read more

Restaurant had decently clean bathrooms but there were multiple issues with our food including completely forgotten meals that didn't come out until everyone else was done eating. The high chair also had food on it from the previous child and was sticky. Our server seemed very confused and overwhelmed, personally would not recommend this restaurant. read more

The menu has a great variety of food. We were a party of eight and we were seated quickly. The service was very good and the food came out in a timely manner. It is a new business and was clean and neat. Our party had burgers and seafood. Everything tasted good. We saw other plates with Italian food, Mexican food, Chinese and the menu also includes steaks and grilled pork chops. I asked a lady how her Alfredo with shrimp was and she said it was very tasty! The service was ok by a young man, the steaks & shrimp were nothing to brag about. Touch, fatty & grissely. I only at 2 bites of mine. My husband ordered the same, but did not finish his either. Too tough. The baked potatoes tasted like they had been sitting all day in a roaster. The salads were ok, however only basic dressings, no vinegaret. We both got thousand island, super sweet from a bottle. The restaurant offers many flavors of teas, but only plain lemonade. The meals were served with broccoli& squash which did not look appealing. Neither of us touched that. So for $80 for 2 bad dinners, it was a disappointment. This place was recommended by the hotel. We will find a different place to eat, even if it's just a burger joint. I eat here all the time when I'm working in brownfield. Order the chicken fried steak it won't disappoint.

Great food and service!! Shrimp gumbo was phenomenal and the seafood platter was just as good. Will definitely be back to try the steaks.
