Stopped in here after a long day at work to splurge on some of the best fried chicken and catfish in Lubbock! I called my order in ahead and the lady on the phone told me it would be 10-15 minutes. I get to the store and they are PACKED! Cars everywhere. I walk up to the window to pay and afterward am asked to wait for just a bit longer. It's a nice evening so I stand on the patio and wait. I look inside the window at the kitchen and I see the staff working their tails off and making each order as quickly as possible. There was also a tall gentleman running food out to cars as quick as his feet were carrying him. They were super busy and, I'm sure, highly stressed. However, the entire staff was a polite and friendly as could be. My wait was not very long, yet the gentleman was super apologetic. Low and behold, I get home and the food was AMAZING as ever! Went here yesterday for the first time. Was really wanting some good fried Chicken Livers and went based on a recent review seen on this site. We arrived and their were three cars in the drive thru ahead of us. When we got to the drive thru window we were greeted by a very pleasant young lady. I asked for two CHICKEN LIVER dinners and one 5 piece CHICKEN TENDERS dinner. We paid and were asked to drive back to the front and our order would be brought out to us when it was ready. They got even busier while we waited so we thought this was a good idea coming here. About 18 to 20 minutes later our order came out. It smelled wonderful. We drove back home to the far SOUTH end of town. My wife opened her TENDERS dinner was oh so very pleased. The TENDERS were cooked very well and the fries were so very tasty and NOT GREASY. I opened my dinners only to find out that I had been give CHICKEN GIZZARDS and not CHICKEN LIVERS as I had ordered and paid for.... SO VERY DISAPPOINTED that our first order there was so screwed up. I don't like gizzards nor do I eat gizzards. My fries were delicious but the gizzards went straight to the trash. Normally I would have taken them back to the restaurant and complained. But after waiting almost 20 minutes for the order to come out and then driving all the way home it just wasn't worth the effort to do so. My wife was so very pleased with the TENDERS and FRIES she got. I am just very disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered and paid for. In town wanted fried chicken that wasn't a chain. Found this place called in an order. They have Take out or drive thru only, picked up food from outside window. Ordered chicken bits dinner which were comparable to chicken strips I guess - it was served with fries, gravy, two biscuits but not traditional biscuits more like Chinese donuts without the sugar, also ordered chicken wings and chicken gizzards. There wasn't much flavor compared to what I'm accustomed to. The gizzards weren't tender and lacked flavor. I'm still glad I supported local. read more

My boyfriend and I always call our order ahead before for pick up and it has always been a perfect order! AMAZING! My mom is in town so we have been eating out a lot this past weekend and have had horrible luck with items being left out and food being cold. They ALMOST left something out and literally chased me down before I turned on Quaker to make sure I got everything. We got a little bit of everything. And all of it was perfect. Dimba's is my designated chicken and seafood spot. Now that I think about it, I do not think that there is anything that I do not like about Dimba's. The food is always cooked to order which is fantastic. Don't be turned off if you order chicken and they tell you that it will take 20 minutes because perfection takes time!
