I stopped here while traveling for work because it had good reviews. It was across from tech and paid parking. Parked in the lot and came in. It wasn't busy yet we were sat right by the front door on a high table. Inside had a bar area and lots of seating. It was a Wednesday night. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was just ok. My coworker got the burger and said it was also just ok. We were there the last week of March yet my miller lite was green. Overall decent experience. Three stars due to lots of flys where we were seated. Got seated right by the front and the flies were everywhere. Probably should have asked to be moved. Food was decent - got the seafood pasta, habanero wings and the grilled chicken Cesar salad. I had the salad and can't say I've had a Cesar dressing like that, seems like a cross between Cesar and Italian. Tasty, just not what was expected. The grilled chicken was seasoned well and the salad over all was good. Drinks were Lychee martini and the blueberry lemon drop shot turned into a full drink. Both were tasty and I'd get the lychee martini again The outside was a bit hard to notice due to the tree growth and there was so much bird droppings outside. Maybe part of the fly issue. read more

Ya know this is a bar with food, not a restaurant with a bar. It started out strong, but that did not last long. Ok food, meh drinks and hit-or-miss service. Parking is free if you ask them to validate, free valet may or may not be available...depends on unknown factors. Boneless wings are probably the best food option at this time. read more

I'm a regular customer here, but the service has been disappointing on multiple visits. On one occasion, my friends and I were given a hard time with our valid IDs, and only after speaking to management was it cleared up. Even after that, the same bartender came back with unnecessary comments that felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Most recently, I walked in and was immediately met with a dirty look and overheard staff talking about checking IDs 'better.' I don't mind a strict ID policy -- that's their job -- but there's a way to handle customers without being rude or condescending. Management should make sure the staff here treats returning guests with basic courtesy. Definitely left a bad taste in the experience. read more

This is our first visit for lunch on Sunday, one week after TTU May 2024 graduations, so it wasn't crowded and we were seated right away. Casual vibe with people sitting on the small patio having drinks. Concrete floors and music playing, but not too loud. They have a full service bar in the center. Plenty of televisions and looks like a great place to watch a game and chill with friends for drinks. My guess is that this place will be packed on game days since it's across from the stadium. We started with the brussel sprouts appetizer. It was tangy sweet with a little bit of spicy heat. The stuffed chicken and liberty pasta were excellent. Our specific server was very good and food came out fast. It's definitely a college bar scene. We will return to try other menu items. Our server explained that valet is free until 9pm and $5 after 9:00. The receipt also has a parking validation for free parking in the parking garage for floors 5 and up. Had an excellent experience here; I accidentally left my cell phone in the bar when I exited at closing time and they waited for me to come retrieve it. Also, I can't remember the name of the young blonde lady who was my bartender, but whoa-her customer service skills were exceedingly excellent. read more

First trip here. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings and the chips and salsa appetizer. Both the chips and the salsa were served warm, with a good flavor and not much heat. The sandwich came with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle with mayo. It didn't have much flavor and the chicken was tough. It fell apart half way through and I took the rest home to try later. The rings were crispy and tasty. It took a long time to get our food at lunch time and there weren't that many people in there. This is probably a great place to be on game day, but it won't be in the regular rotation. read more

My wife and I took friends to Ground Zero on Wednesday evening. Again, we were very pleased with the service, the food, and the facilities. Their Wednesday wing special was a hit as was the Liberty Pasta that my friend's wife got. My wife got the shrimp basket and loved it. The manager helped my wife get a replacement on her chilton that was sorta watered down without any questions and he came back several times asking if the replacement was better. However, the best part of the evening was our server. We eat out a lot so we understand good and outstanding service. We want to give a shout out to Kaitlyn, when you go to check the establishment out ask for Kaitlyn. She was knowledgeable about the menu and displayed an intelligent friendly personality. She was very polite, and attentive without hovering. I don't give a 5 star rating very often but this visit deserves a 10. Go check it out--and ask for Kaitlyn. One of the worst meals in Lubbock. My girls were home from college, something new in town and had heard it was good, my mistake. Service was less than terrible. Our waitress sat in another booth on her phone and we would have to flag other people down to get her. There seemed to be a ton of people "working" there but no work was being done. Catfish and crab cakes were awful. Fries cold and limp. My daughter got the liberty pasta and it was the only thing worth eating. Hamburger was charred and dry, wings soggy. Cheese sticks were just frozen ones. This won't last long at this pace. read more

Love the food and the drinks here! It's a locally owned bar and restaurant. If you want food service, I would go earlier in the evening it turns into a sports bar basically in the evenings and gets a large crowd. They have amazing specials for food and drinks every week day and they really care about the customers. The owners and staff are amazing! read more

The place is nice. The parking is horrible. Service was bad, wouldn't come wait on us for almost 30 min and yes they saw us. Ordered drinks as we were so thirsty. Never brought them, couldn't find our waitress so we went up to the bar and asked for our drinks. Ordered an appetizer because we were also hungry. Never got it even after our food came. Had to ask for it again. No refills never even checked on us. Had to hunt someone down to pay. Was not impressed with the food. We won't be giving them another chance. read more

Not sure what the occasion was but maybe had to do with the Mavs playing? Either way...not going to complain! Long story short: less than mediocre diner food in a pleasant atmosphere. Upon walking in, you can smell the old grease. Spinach and artichoke dip was terrible. It's almost entirely made of cream cheese and came out chunky and nearly cold. Brussel sprouts were pretty good. After the appetizers, the food all came out at different times. Fried shrimp were severely over cooked and very rubbery, not to mention they used corn meal for breading, so to bite through it was like breaking the shell of a crawfish claw with your teeth. Mashed potatoes were bland and the cabbage "wedge" was just a 1" sliver of cabbage and came out when I was halfway done with my meal. Green beans seemed to have been sitting in bacon grease for hours and were soggy and clearly just reheated. The owner was there and asked a few times how everything was. I playcated him the first couple times, but when he asked the third time, I was completely honest and put it to him as nicely as possible. He thanked me and offered to take care of the bill (after I already paid), but funds were never restored and I was still charged. Only silver lining was a good playlist. Will not be back! read more
