I personally got the Kevin Bacon burger. It has bacon, blue cheese, and the regular veggie toppings that you'd come to expect on a burger. I thought this burger was good. The blue cheese wasn't overwhelming and went well with the meatiness of the patty which I felt was decent sized. Now the one aspect about Twisted Root that really surpised me... the pickles. They have a gah damn pickle bar! In these giant barrels! I don't even like pickles on their own, but the variety of options was enticing. They have dill, bread & butter, ranch, sweet & spicy, and atomic. It was really fun just getting to try the different options with the burger. They're all made in-house. My personal favorite was the sweet & spicy. Though I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Pickle lover's paradise. All in all, I'm really glad I came here. I'm fortunate to have had wonderful, welcoming company take me here. It was a good way to finish the Lubbock trip. I wish I could come back, but those cards may not be in my future anymore. I told him he would not like it and I also saw it was a $2.50 upsale. I did tell him to add the sautéed mushrooms for the same price (upsale) but when they brought the food they forgot them anyways and I had them remove them from the ticket. He also ordered a Diet Coke which was $3.59 and he was only able to get one refill on it. That is the cost of 6 pack! I ordered a margarita with a $1 upsale for a kicker. My wife had a margarita with the mango flavor upsale. The manager came over to welcome our first time visit and offered to buy us dessert which we said great to as we just ordered a dessert. The bill came and I questioned why we were being charged for the dessert. She indicated the one we ordered was not one we offered for free. If we had been advised it only applied to certain desserts we would have ordered one on that list. We won't be back, it is similar to a Texas Roadhouse but with lower quality of meats.

"Oh let me check...oh yeah it because the menu lists cash prices and so if you pay cash, you get that price, if not you pay this price." WTH!!! Maybe that's listed on the menu. But a 10% service charge on beer to cover a what 3-4% Visa fee. Man, please be overcharging to buy some fly swatters or hanging stank away bags. So yeah, 1-star. Just skip this place and go sit on a Port-a-potty instead.
