Second visit to this location, first visit was very good. Ordered Buffalo Burger both times, this time it was like shoe leather? When I asked the waitress, she said I'm just the waitress?? I asked if they always cook well done? The cook came out and spoke with me and said they cook well done unless requested otherwise. This is a great place to eat. I meet with old high school friends every Monday, and we could not have picked a better spot. Fun is consistently great and the service is even better. Lance does a spectacular job with managing this restaurant. My friends and I used to eat at various places each week, but once we met at Caprock on 82nd St. we have stayed. Went in last night and our waitress Alyana was phenomenal. She was super kind and even gave us suggestions we got a ribeye ends sandwich and it was absolutely delicious she also suggested the pork skins and queso those were super good. The draft beers were super cold and crisp. She recommend a Bluezuni to my partner it was greatly priced and my partner enjoyed it. Highly recommend this restaurant super affordable and delicious. Came here twice. The first time by myself and the second time with Wonder Wife (which automatically gives the place an extra star just because she's awesome). But, they didn't need WW's star power to get five stars. The food is excellent and the service was good, too. Ambiance - The ambiance was fun-casual. The music was a good volume, it wasn't too quiet (where you could hear people eating), but wasn't too loud (where if you wanted to have a conversation you could). Went in for an early lunch. We were seated at a table quickly. We ordered our drinks right away. We waited and waited for a wait staff to return for our order. Up by the entrance table there were 6 young ladies visiting. My husband and I began waving at them. Two walked off and the other 4 continued visiting. We lived in Lubbock for 8 long years and this was one of my favorite places to go for lunch or dinner. The Texas 5 alarm Philly was my go-to meal. God I loved it. Well we were back in Lubbock recently for a weekend, so naturally we had to hit up our old favorite joints, this being one of them. We had a busy day planned, so we arrived for an early lunch soon after opening. Our waitress came, took our orders, brought our drinks and chips with mafia queso. Everything was just as I remembered. A few minutes later our food comes out and I'm so excited to dig in. I take the top bun off to pour some queso on it and realize dang, there is only like 2 tablespoons of meat on this. I was devastated. I wanted this so much, but c'mon man where's the beef? Disappointed, I ate a few fries and pushed the plate away. When our waitress came by, I showed her the disappointing sandwich and said I'm sorry, but I'm not paying for this. That is a sad excuse for a sandwich. She apologized and took it away. A few minutes later the manager kneels beside me and apologizes saying, the cook should have never sent that out, and the waitress should have caught it and he offered to make it again. Unfortunately were pressed for time, so I had to decline and just watch my family eat. It wasn't all bad because I ended up grabbing a quick bite at Taco Villa later on.
