Went in last night and our waitress Alyana was phenomenal. She was super kind and even gave us suggestions we got a ribeye ends sandwich and it was absolutely delicious she also suggested the pork skins and queso those were super good. The draft beers were super cold and crisp. She recommend a Bluezuni to my partner it was greatly priced and my partner enjoyed it. Highly recommend this restaurant super affordable and delicious. Came here twice. The first time by myself and the second time with Wonder Wife (which automatically gives the place an extra star just because she's awesome). Went in for an early lunch. We were seated at a table quickly. We ordered our drinks right away. We waited and waited for a wait staff to return for our order. Service - Service was the best part of this restaurant experience. Our waitress was very efficient and attentive. Very patient with our questions and helpful when ordering. Ambiance - The ambiance was fun-casual. The music was a good volume, it wasn't too quiet (where you could hear people eating), but wasn't too loud (where if you wanted to have a conversation you could). Cleanliness - The restaurant was overall clean. We didn't go to the restroom, so this is based on our walk to the table. Food - The food was just okay. Mozzarella cheese sticks were basic. The nachos were okay, the meat was cut up to small so it was hard to find. The country fried steak was also okay. The reason for our 3-rating was that the food was just okay. We lived in Lubbock for 8 long years and this was one of my favorite places to go for lunch or dinner. The Texas 5 alarm Philly was my go-to meal. God I loved it. Well we were back in Lubbock recently for a weekend, so naturally we had to hit up our old favorite joints, this being one of them. We had a busy day planned, so we arrived for an early lunch soon after opening. Our waitress came, took our orders, brought our drinks and chips with mafia queso. Everything was just as I remembered. A few minutes later our food comes out and I'm so excited to dig in. I take the top bun off to pour some queso on it and realize dang, there is only like 2 tablespoons of meat on this. I was devastated. I wanted this so much, but c'mon man where's the beef? Disappointed, I ate a few fries and pushed the plate away. When our waitress came by, I showed her the disappointing sandwich and said I'm sorry, but I'm not paying for this. That is a sad excuse for a sandwich. She apologized and took it away. A few minutes later the manager kneels beside me and apologizes saying, the cook should have never sent that out, and the waitress should have caught it and he offered to make it again. Unfortunately were pressed for time, so I had to decline and just watch my family eat. It wasn't all bad because I ended up grabbing a quick bite at Taco Villa later on.
