Stopped in after a great show at the Cactus Theater. My friend and I split an awesome Prime Rib Sandwich! It was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. It was in a soft roll with melted cheese, mushrooms and served with fries. The fries were a bit too seasoned for me but I tend toward less seasoning on most ever. I'm sure others would find the seasoning very good. Our server was very kind, helpful and pleasant even though we arrived about 30 minutes before closing. Met with family & friends tonight to enjoy a good steak and football. We ordered appetizers (wonderful), main courses (delicious!), and desserts (best of all!). The family trickled in bit by bit, so the hostess (Hannah) and waitress (Natalie) were no sooner finished seating us & taking our orders, when more family would arrive. Natalie was definitely up for the task, juggling drink and food orders, and all the while smiling and joking with everyone! Anyway I was surprised that our meal was not as expensive as I had expected. We even had cheesecake. I looked at the bill when I got home. She had voided the price of the cheesecake. They deliver! That's cool, the delivery driver was great but I think they are 3rd party. Basically are getting two stars for the driver and timely delivery. She did her job well and I'm happy to tip well. No regrets there. I'll start with the 1st impression. I opened my dish excited about the steak and the asparagus which I paid a dollar extra for the asparagus. I'll let the picture show what you actually get when you order this side. Oh well I still have my steak....right? Nope, I ordered rare because I knew it would end up being med rare by the time I got it. What I got was medium to medium well. What a great meal. We went all out because gift cards whooo hooo. I ordered the filet and shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly as request and temp was nice. Young kids had grilled chicken and Mac and cheese. My kid never eats grilled chicken and she did here! So happy. Our server was amazing. Put up with my dads corny jokes without skipping a beat. Never again! Overpriced for what it is. I remember Outback being good years ago. Got lunch here on a weekend and paid over $60 for two overcooked, low quality steaks that took forever to come out. We ordered them medium and they came out well done. When we mentioned to management that the steaks were overcooked, they offered to remake them but given how long they'd taken the first time around, we didn't have time to wait; so instead, they offered us a dessert . The empty table next to us, which clearly had had a child sitting at it, was ridiculously dirty. It was trashed but no one thought to clean it while we were sitting there. So there we were having to keep our appetites while the table next to us was so dirty. Overall, low class food experience with a hefty price tag. read more

Tonight's meal was simply awesome! Had the 16-oz slow-cooked prime rib at medium, with baked potato + sour cream, and unsalted broccoli. The meat was cooked impeccable well, very even and moist. First time at this outback. Nice host very cheery. Sat with my friends and had something to drink after a hard's day if were rk. Waitress vwry patient and finally order. I git the steak salad. Others order a regular steak with potato or other condiments. My salad was very nice and abundant. Love this salad. Prices were in accordance with the area and economy of now a days. I hate to have to leave this review about Outback. My husband and I have gone to Outback for many years about every other month. However, the last time we went, the music was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. We asked if they would turn the music down, and they said that they weren't allowed to. Since we hadn't yet ordered, we told them that we would pay for our ice tea and leave and go to a different restaurant. At that point, the manager came over and told us that they would be able to turn the music down. So we went on to enjoy our dinner. Last night, my husband and I and another couple decided to go to Outback to catch up and visit. Again, the music was too loud to have easy conversation. We asked them to turn the music down or to move us to a quieter area. The manager said that they didn't really have a quieter area, and that corporate would not allow them to turn the music down. We asked if they couldn't turn it down just a tiny bit so we could hear each other. She said that the music had a sensor on it that corporate put in so that they could tell if the local Outbacks turned the music down. So she said she was not allowed to turn it at all due to the sensors. We told them that we guessed we would stay there since we had started eating, but we wouldn't be able to come back anymore. We told them that they had lost our business, and while they were apologetic, I think they were probably rolling their eyes at us. Anyway, if you want to have a conversation during your meal, this is probably not the place to come. read more

Tried it again and it was the same despite having a lengthy talk with the manager. I really don't like the fact that your food sack is completely open when ordering take out delivered by door dash. We called the manager and asked him to start stapling the sack shut on to go orders as this might be a problem and a safety issue. We had a shady driver the last time. . We thought we would try getting take out again and guess what....the sack was all open again, despite asking the lady tonight again to staple the sack shut. I've been to this Outback Steakhouse about 10 times and have never been dissappointed. The service is always top knotch and the atmosphere is great. One time they sat us next to a large party with young children and we asked if we could move and they were very understanding. They let us sit wherever we wanted. The food is pretty consistent at Outback, no matter what city you're in. It's not the best steak in the world, but I'd say they have good quality meat. I like ribeye and they always cook it to perfection. The prime rib is also great. The seafood is good too. Our favorite is the seared ahi tuna appetizer. Last time we went the tuna didn't look as appetizing as it normally does, so we told our waiter and he quickly brought us the best serving of it that we ever had. That is what I love about Outback. Sometimes the manager comes around and asks us how everything is going. I really appreciate when they do that. read more

Wow...so tonight was such a disappointment here. I have been to Outbacks all over the country and actually have been to this location a couple of times before when passing through Lubbock and what I usually love about Outback is that it is consistently good. When I order certain menu items they are always the same, which to me is the point of a restaurant chain...consistency and value! Tonight was just such an epic failure food-wise. Our server was fine and we were sat within the 15mins we were quoted, but the food was just awful! I always get the chopped pecan salad, but tonight it did not taste fresh and the bleu cheese was all clumpy and even the candied pecans tasted stale. Then the entrees...the terrible terrible overpriced entrees. I decided to try a selection from their new Moonshine BBQ menu because the pic looked soooo good...what came out was nothing like the picture. I ordered the steak and bbq bacon wrapped shrimp. What came out was the smallest steak I think I have ever seen. I had ordered it medium and it came out three different cooking levels...the outside was very well done, the inner layer was medium-well and inexplicably the very center was almost rare? The shrimp were also tiny, there were four on the skewer and the little strip of bacon they were wrapped in was pretty gross. The shrimp themselves tasted rubbery and even with the overly sweet bbq sauce, still lacked any semblance of flavor. I also ordered the sweet potato fries, which I always get because they are usually delish! The fries that came out tasted like they were the frozen kind and instead of having the warm honey glaze on them that they have always had, these were dry and had the same seasoning that they put on the steak. Just inedible. The meal also came with a square of cornbread, which was so dry and flavorless I literally took one bite and spit it out. I definitely did not get my $14.99 worth and when they asked me to take their new menu selection survey, I made my disappointment known in the comments. Needless to say, worst Outback experience ever and sadly for the $90 price tag of my and my dinner companions meals (they expressed their displeasure with their orders as well, one of which is the same steak they always order) I won't be coming back to this particular location as for me, with a chain like Outback, consistency is the name of the game and when it is going to be a crapshoot, I will roll my dice and spend my dollars on someplace local. read more

Probably one of the best services/meals I can say I have had in the Midwest. Usually it's mediocre but dang, the only thing I can complain about is my drink coming to me with the straw in it without any paper on it (I hate people touching my straw, my mouth goes on it so it should be my fingers inserting it into my drink). My food came out HOT and in a reasonable time. Same thing with the appetizers, salad and complimentary bread. We were joking around and the server was so attentive he thought we had waved him over. This is a split review. My wife and I ordered the same thing, Sirloin Special prepared medium rare and sides. My wife said her steak was prepared just right. Mine was not even close to being good.
