Slims has been and always will be a staple in my diet. The ability to customise your meal makes every visit unique and delicious. The employees are nice and very deliberate at getting your food out fast. The inside is always clean despite being full most of the time. For those still wondering, yes the chicken is better than Canes (it isn't close) and their fried okra is to die for. If you aren't feeling a huge meal the mac and cheese is perfect for a lunch or early dinner. I will continue to come back here and I suggest you do the same read more

for being a $14 meal, my sandwhich quite literally came with one piece of bacon folded in half, i specifically got the club for the bacon. also they forgot my ranches so i had to go back and the girl was extremely rude when i said they forgot them as if i was lying and trying to get free ranch. also my fries were cold and stale. Rude staff. Bad food. there was 1 car in front of me too. so it's not like they were extremely busy; just lazy and hate their lives. read more

Food was okay Chicken was a bit dry. Overall a good cheap place for hot food. The Smokey flavor of the chicken doesn't really go well with the sauces tbh. I'd just go with it dry. read more

If your hours of operation are from 10 am to 10 pm. I arrived at 9:30 to dine in. The doors were locked. The posted time on the door stated 10am to 10 pm. There is nothing posted that the lobby closes early. If donee in closes early then respectfully list the appropriate hours so patrons know when we are allowed to walk in and eat. Also teach your employees that staring at a potential customer and shaking their head is not good business practice when there is nothing posted. read more

Gooood crispy chickens with good sauce get the cayenne ranch. Come here on sundays and kids eat free. This good lookin lad named Ludwig took our order. He rizzed up my daughter Sofia and she agreed to go out with him. The Ludwig took my dear Sofia to his home land Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenberg. And she loved it they had three triplets named Harris, Hubert and Hamish. They lived happily ever after The End. read more

just now I just received an order for delivery. Neither dessert I ordered was with the meal. I haven't eaten all day. I'm starving. And yet, now I don't even want to eat anymore. I'm too angry to eat. Thankfully, Uber Eats refunded me for the missing items but I hate having to do that because they stop issuing refunds eventually so I usually don't report a single item missing but this was 3 cookies and a jar dessert. $11 worth of food just not here. So incredibly frustrating. read more

Not very impressed with this Slim Chickens location. The restaurant wasn't very clean, especially the windows near the booth seating. Both our orders were wrong and the was food sub-par. We both had the exact same thing, a grilled chicken wrap with ranch on the side. Not a difficult order but both wraps were wrong. It was late and we were tired so we didn't send them back. We won't be returning to this location. read more

Always messing up the order. Missing items that were paid for and employees with bad attitudes.

Had a misunderstanding on my end with the order I placed, seeing that I was confused James was very helpful with asking was there something wrong. We talked quickly about it and he said you know what let me get my manager because I know he can help us. Sydney the manager came up quickly after James briefed him and he said what can I do to help ma'am! That was my first time coming by there for the wing special, and I spent more than I expected. Sydney understood my frustration and offered to do whatever he needed to make me happy with my purchase. You don't really get that one on one service at most "fast food" restaurants. I was thankful for the fact that both gentlemen showed concern and wanted to please me with their service!!!! It was nice to have somebody care even if it was something so simple, they hadn't done anything wrong at all but were very ready and happy to satisfy their customer!!! Great job James and Sydney, I'm sure the rest of the staff has to be just as friendly and serving. I just wanted to mention these two because you don't know how you might touch someone who is having a bad day! Only Slim Chicken I'll go to in town!!!!! read more

Might cut the fans back a little. Food gets cold quick. Other than that pretty good chicken joint.

Dear Slim - As a guy that's well versed in the art of chicken tender consumption, I have to say I was a little skeptical, you being the like the new kid on the block with the flashy bike and all. I was wrong with my preconceived expectations of average. Based on my first experience here I am very impressed. Your meaty and flavorful chicken tenders, in a perfectly golden fried batter, are as good as any I've had anywhere. The gravy however, was the true show stopper for me; Michael Jordan at the top of the key with the game on the line kind of situation. The gravy was thick, rich and ever so peppery. I start to salivate a little just at the thought of it. The fries are a pretty typical, good but not memorable offering with full credit for being crisp. Rounding out the tender basket is a couple of pieces of toast; a hard to go wrong, necessity for soaking up the last of the gravy. In addition to the chicken tenders, there are wings, a chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, several wrap choices and a couple of salads. The additional side choices include mac & cheese, coleslaw, potato salad and fries. They also have fried okra, pickles and mushrooms, but they are unfortunately only available in the large size. I understand places have their policies and reasons, but personally I think it'd be a big plus to be able to order a regular size side of the fried okra. If nothing else, Slim's should make an exception for Texas. Another impressive thing about Slim's is their extensive arsenal of dipping sauces. With options of slim sauce, ranch, cayenne ranch, blue cheese, gravy, BBQ, honey BBQ, spicy BBQ, Korean BBQ, garlic Parmesan, sweet red chili, honey mustard, mango habanero, Sriracha garlic, buffalo, hot and inferno, I'm very impressed. All of the non-creamy options above are also available as sauce on the wings. The setup maybe fast food, but the food is definitely in a different category. I highly recommend the chicken tenders and gravy. read more

OMG. SO Much Flavor. And the service is amazing. I have actually found a reason to drive to Lubbock from Austin. First stop of the day was for just a couple cups of ice, but the girls there were so nice and it smelled so good we came back for dinner. Lezeria met us at the register and was amazingly sweet, the others were as well, suggesting for our first experience here the Buffalo Wraps -so of course it was a resounding "Yes, Please"! I had the deep fried mushrooms as a side & my compadre had the fries. Both hot, crisp, & Delish! We ended up ordering a Strawberry Salad to go since it looked so good....& even though we were stuffed after only half a wrap each (saved the rest for the trip home), there was No Way we were missing out on trying the decadent looking desserts . So good, we started googling how to get a franchise. Do yourself a favor and bring the family, you won't be disappointed. Worth the trip, worth the time, & WAY worth the $. read more

Been multiple times and every time I order the LARGE bowl of macaroni mind you it's $5 it's pretty packed for it's size but unfortunately this visit I received two large bowls half full which was very pathetic and very disappointing, if they didn't have enough they could have said something too which would of been nice not split one orders worth to make the two orders. I'm not one to cause a scene but if I would've thought to check the bag I would've definitely just asked for a refund and let them keep it smh. read more

I ordered online for curbside pickup. After waiting a few minutes, I called the restaurant to ask where my order was. I was told that I would have to come inside to pick it up, or wait 15 minutes until he could bring it out to me. If you can't provide curbside pickup, then remove that option when ordering! What horrible customer service! After giving my feedback on their website, no one contacted me as I requested. read more

I ordered for curbside pick up and arrived a few minutes early. I waited until my pickup time to call the store to tell them which spot I was parked in despite them already knowing due to me having to put my make, model, and color in when I ordered. I waited 10 minutes past my "ready" time and still hadn't been helped at all. What I don't understand is why they ask for the vehicle information if they aren't going to use it to correlate with the cameras facing the designated spots. I drove around to the drive thru where i was greeted by an employee laughing and cursing through the intercom and telling me I would have to come inside to pick up my order (what's the point in curbside then?) When I pulled up to the window the employee was very apologetic for her team members actions which shouldn't be her responsibility. Overall, this whole situation could've been avoided if there was a better system for curbside and professional employees. I spoke with the GM who said he would look into the situation... we'll see about that, he didn't seem too worried about their actions. read more

Fantastic service from Randy, piping hot chicken, delicious mac & cheese and yummy raspberry sweet tea. Great rewards program!

Today I ordered our meals and added two fried mushrooms to go with them. Is it fair to charge customers full price over $10 for two when you literally fill up the boxes less than half way? Mine were 1/3 full each. When I order 1 box it's ALWAYS filled to the top with fried mushrooms. Literally filled up max!! ****Customers Beware**** Fried Mushrooms are $5.99 each. My total order was over $30. If you order more than one order they dump half the box in the other but charge you full price for both. This is not okay! Why would customers pay twice as much for the quantity of 1 box?? Do customers need to stay parked in front of the drive thru to double check their orders and point out these mistakes? Why is it our job to do so? I'm not going to be rude to the employees but if other reviews have complained about this same issue it more so is TRAINED to the employees. Is this technique of splitting the mushrooms from one box yet charging for double a common thing that is trained from your Corporate Office? I would appreciate a response that is not copied and pasted from Management. It's an issue when the last 5 visits have been riddled with mistakes. This is why we stopped going to Raising Cane's. I'm literally the most easy going laid back person but there is a boiling point where I kick myself for opting to eat here. (Make me change my mind so next visit you get 5 Stars) read more

I can't help but compare this place to Cane's because their menus are very similar. However, this place is better! Not super crowded or noisy with college kids. Nice and clean decor. Classier ambiance than Cane's. Slim Chickens chicken strips are tender and juicy. My fries were crispy and tasted homemade. The biggest thing I don't like about Cane's is that they only have one sauce, which is a sauce that I do not really care for... Slim Chickens has a wide variety of sauces to choose from! I got plain barbecue sauce but they had some cool flavors like honey mustard and mango habanero. They also have a wider variety of menu items, ranging from chicken strips to wings, and even salads for those who want a healthier option. They have dessert as well. I definitely recommend trying this place out! read more

I have been to all locations around Lubbock and this is hands down the BEST slims in town!! Randy the manager is awesome!! Customer service is great and so is the food! If you have any problem at all the staff has no problem taking care of it quickly and will probably throw in a desert for good measure! read more

The sloppiness of the drive thru service is the reason this place gets 2 stars. If this issue hadn't come up EVERY TIME we come, it would be 5 stars. Seriously. Every we go through the drive thru, something ends up being wrong. They give us the wrong number of chicken strips, one time we got fried pickles (...???) as a side. But our biggest complaint is the mushrooms. Gosh, we love your food, Slims! We come by at least twice a week, because you're the bad relationship we can't seem to break off. But here is our big problem: you're getting between us and the mushrooms. My husband takes this kind of thing seriously. ;) What's weird is that the drive thru isn't consistent. If we order ONE box of mushrooms, we *typically* get a full box. If we order TWO boxes of mushrooms, we get a single box amount split into two boxes. (once I opened a box and there weren't even enough to cover the bottom in a single layer... We were NOT happy!!) If we swap fries for mushrooms and order a box on the side, same thing. And when we pay $10 extra to get two full orders of mushrooms and get hardly anything, we're understandably upset. It's like someone drops a full order of mushrooms in --- and splits it between boxes. Not fair!! You have delicious food. Please ask your kitchen staff to step up and pay attention -- and fill orders correctly! If we notice you're doing better, I'll increase stars. read more

This is a chain I had never heard of. Wanted some chicken so thought I would try it. This is really good. Had the 3 chicken tenders that came with one side, toast and med. drink. I chose the fries which are very good. I got the slim dipping sauce which is kind of like catsup and mustard and sugar mixed together. It is sweet. They have a whole lot of other sauces also. Someone said the toast was not good however I thought it was good. I recommend this restaurant. read more

I got here at 1030. They close at midnight according to there website and google. No sandwitches, wings, milkshakes or max and cheese. So if all you want is chicken strips and fries, go to canes...also it took 45 minutes to get my food once I finally figured out what they were still willing to cook read more

My fiancé and I have always loved Slim's, but in the past month, it has been horrible! Tonight we went through the drive through and the lady was struggling so hard to even get our order down. Then, we get to the pay window and my fiancé asks if they still have a specific flavor of dessert jar, and she very rudely answered back. Our drinks tasted super watered down and the food was just okay. Hope it gets better soon. read more

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I thought the food was good but I have a couple of concerns, one is that they didn't need to throw a pile of french fries in with the chicken wrap. The second concern is that I was charged $2.25 for a large icewater, which is completely ridiculous. Could've easily scored 4 stars in my book, but the two dollar icewater really held it to three stars for me. Overall the chicken wrap that I ordered was very tasty. read more

Definitely not worth it. I ordered a chicken strip meal and was not pleased. I got three chicken strips about the size of my finger (I'm 5'2). Not only that but my fries weren't even hot. I would of given it one star but the cup was pretty cool, so it accounts for another star.... boo. And if it's chicken strips you want, stick to raising Cains. read more

They have fallen a bunch. I got my free birthday Chick plate today. I asked for Mac n cheese in place of the fries. Got the fries. Rock hard, nearly black, over salted fries. The chicken pieces were tiny and very dry. One was barely bigger than a nugget. Not a birthday treat. read more

Food is fine but the drive thru pretty much sucks. The last time I went through my drink wasn't full, I had to park and go inside to fill it up and the guy at the counter acted like that was a normal occurrence. This time I was asked to pull forward and wait for my food behind a truck that was also waiting for food. The truck behind me received their food before we did. The woman finally brought my food out and it wasn't correct, apparently the woman in the drive thru knew it was wrong. read more

This place is continually a disappointment. I ordered the slim salad, grilled chicken tossed in the hot sauce (they put one drop) and an unsweetened tea. I got a sweet tea and a salad with wilted and black nasty greens, my cucumber was so bitter (spit it out) and old that they were that weird clear color. Disappointing because there are not a lot of options for a good salad in this area via drive-thru. This is like the third time I have tried eating at this location. Not again. Maybe if you go in you better quality. read more

Food is usually pretty good but they've been slacking on seasoning the fries for as long as I've been going. Every blue moon the fries will have seasoning, you're lucky if they even put salt on & you will have to rely on the sauce (and they forget that too sometimes).
