We came on Veterans Day, it was busy but we got in fast and were served quickly too. Our server was super sweet, attentive and efficient. To top things off, I ran into a good friend and as I'm walking out of the building I see this.. her mom had an issue with her tire on the way to dinner and the staff sent a bunch of guys outside to change her tire for her. I placed an online order Dec 31st at 610 pm. Pick up time 645. OK so I get there a little early, so I check in, I get a text saying wait in your car we will txt you when your order is ready. So I sit there and wait finally 705 rolls around and I get out of the car to check my order. The gentleman says "we are very busy so we are not sending txt to say your order is ready". OK. So he says here is your order, 1 steak, 2 orders of shrimp, 2 salad, 2 mashed potato. So I say I am supposed to have 2 steaks, so he went and found a steak somewhere. So it's now 710, but I have my food all is well. So I get home, the food is ice cold and guess what, no mashed potatoes. I understand that you are busy, but I spent $70 on pretty much nothing, I had to heat up my food so now the steaks are over cooked. Very dissatisfied. read more

Nice Roadhouse! Our server, Cadence, was excellent. Super kind and accommodating. I really couldn't say enough good things about her. The restaurant was clean and tidy- no more peanuts on the floor! My steak, the fort worth ribeye was cooked to perfection. My husband really enjoyed his burger. I got double salad for my side- they gave me two bowls of salad. Little awkward but nothing world ending. Salad was crisp, fresh and had lots of toppings. Definitely an A+ The rolls were amazing as always. Can't go wrong there. We did have some weird $1.99 charge for the kisok thing they put on your table. We didn't use it, so not sure why that popped up. When we brought it to our servers attention, she was quick to find a solution which involved a manager coming over. It took kind of a lot of explaining and the charge was never really explained, but they did take it off- though it did take about 15 mins to get handled. read more

Went here tonight for dinner and what a mistake! We used to go to Texas Roadhouse all the time and it used to be great. We haven't been in about 5 years now and I will never go back again. To start off we got the pick 3 appetizer. The fried pickles and buffalo bites were good but the potato skins were terrible. How can you mess up potato skins? They were greasy and looked like a hot mess. Wish I would have taken a picture. So my son orders the filet and ribs and his was great and cooked perfect. My wife and I each got the prime rib 16oz. Perfectly cooked however very hard to cut through. Thought I had a bad knife?? Nope, finally cut through and eat a piece and totally chewy. Worst prime rib I have had in a long time. My wife's same thing. I got a loaded backed potato which was also terrible. Now I know why the skins were bad. Quality has definitely gone downhill at this chain. The only redeeming part of the experience was our waitress Katie. She was great! Won't be back though. read more

5/30/22. I haven't dined here in years but after watching a movie at Harkin's across the street, it was convenient. With lowered expectations, I hesitantly ordered the grilled chicken salad with blue cheese dressing but was pleasantly surprised! The chicken was fresh and presented in thick slices. Not "spongy like" chicken I've had at other restaurants of the same category. The lettuce looked like it was just out of bag bulk salad. Not even any fresh greens mixed in but the fresh jack cheese, bacon and sliced boiled egg improved this entree greatly. Our server, Amanda was outstanding though. She was attentive, friendly, humorous and had a good attitude. I relayed this to the manager who had stopped at our table to ask how our experience was. The food is delicious. The rolls are to die for. Unfortunately, it seems the waitresses actually want to kill you for asking for more rolls. Texas Roadhouse is supposed to have unlimited rolls. I do not go there often, as I am not a rich person. So when I do go there, I definitely eat rolls, as I love their rolls. We are a table of three. We normally get 5 baskets of bread when we go. There is usually 4 rolls in each basket. First time our waitress said to us "there is a 12 roll limit, and this table already had 16! If you want more, you will be charged for it!" Shocked as this has never happened before, everyone says the rolls are unlimited, they have been unlimited in the past, I declined. I expressed my disappointment to the manager, who gave me some rolls to go. She seemed a bit confused. The waitress brought the rolls out in the box, rudely handed it to us and said "The manager managed to get you more rolls, but it's corporate policy!" The actual owner of the restaurant messaged me informed me it is not corporate policy, and that rolls are unlimited. This didn't exactly help me much. Month later I decided to give Texas Roadhouse another chance. Things seemed to be going good, but then, IT HAPPENED!!!! I did a serious crime. I didn't steal. I didn't break anything. I didn't call anyone names. I.......I.......I asked for more rolls! The response from the waitress was crazy! The look of anger upon her face was so strong, you would think I had robbed her house. She shook her head, and then walked off. I couldn't believe it. She then returned with the bread, and threw the basket on the table. I mean, if serving bread is such a disservice to the waitresses there, and they find it so difficult to do, perhaps Texas Roadhouse should just not have the bread anymore. Early dine menu is on Monday - Thursday from 3:00 - 5:30pm. I had the pleasure to have the server Sue she was very sweet lady, very attentive made sure to constantly stock the table with bread and butter, made sure I was okay. I come to this location pretty often and I have to say I've gotten the best serve during their early dine in time. For food I got the sirloin steak, mac n cheese, and loaded mash potatoes. The food came out hot and was delicious. In total I spent $20.50, it was worth it for the price and satisfaction. I was full the rest of the day, and had left overs. The experience at Texas Roadhouse this time around was a 5/5! Food is ok for a large chain steak house, but that's to be expected. The thing this review will focus on is pickup orders and the way they make you pick the food up. It's over 100 degrees outside and they make you stand outside to pickup your food at these windows that say "closed" when they're shut. I went inside to pickup my order and they flat out refused to allow me to pick it up. If they were busy I'd understand, but there was no one in the waiting area. In the time it took them to continue to refuse to serve me my pickup order, it would have been quicker to have just given me my food. It was already paid for. They simply just needed to go over the order with my to ensure it's all there, then hand me the bag. Not the worst thing in the world, but none the less there needs to be a better pickup method than making customers that spent almost $200 bucks wait in the sweltering sun for the food. read more

Quick decision on Thursday night to get a casual meal and catch the first half of the game. Go Suns! We waited 20 minutes and were seated in the bar area. A basket of warm bread goodness served with just the right amount cinnamon butter accompanied us and we were doin greater by Chazz, also working a pretty bar area ramping up for the game. He never missed a beat. Great food, fried pickles offered with the beverage order so I did. If they don't, I won't order an appetizer. Great start. Food was delicious. I personally customize my meals to keep it low carb and it is the best. I love the sirloin tips very much. I order My with only the beef, onion and mushroom, little sour cream on the side. My family and I regularly go to Texas Roadhouse. Recently my father passed so my husband and I thought we'd to for a couple drinks then get food for takeout. We chose two spots that were open at the bar when we arrived. The female bartender kept pushing food, we expressed that we wanted to have a couple drinks and we would order in a bit. After being there for a short while my husband mentioned that we kept getting glared at. I thought he was crazy until the bartender, came up to us and said " we usually don't have people that sit here who don't eat, you need to move down to allow others to sit. ". My husband looked at her and said oh sorry no one had asked us or mention that they wanted any seats around us. (those seats were wide open. ) Then she told us I'm asking you nicely to move or go At that point, we got very frustrated and offended how she asked us to move. We are perfectly happy to share space with others as we did as we ordered our first drink. Her behavior was horrible, and her manager stood back, just glaring at us. It appeared that some other guests wanted our seats for the rest of their group. Treated horribly, never got the opportunity to order dinner. So we left. Apparently there are rules for sitting at their bar, which were not posted. You cannot sit and have a couple drinks. You need to order food and leave basically a turn and burn. Haven't been here in years. Figured we'd try it out, first they sit us in secluded part of the restaurant and it was freezing. We had to ask them to turn it down. They should be aware of the restaurant temperature. Then my filet was way overcooked. I asked me medium rare and it was medium well. And my green beans were cold. The bad reviews about the service are on point. This is one of the stingiest Texas Roadhouse we have been to. Everyone loves Texas Roadhouse rolls... they have it on their app that you can only have a normal amount to go and when we called they said we can ask for more at the window and they'll give us more. The 2 times we asked, the girl that's there always has an attitude like if the rolls are being taken out of her paycheck. Why tell us we can order extra at the window if you're going to be rude?? Getting more butter for the extra rolls after they put a little bit in their little containers is like I asked her to churn it herself... the faces she makes just makes me wonder if she hates it there that much and if this restaurant is the only one that will take her because her customer service is so bad. I recommend going to the Tempe location, even though the wait can be a little long when you order to go, their service is always awesome and they let you order extra rolls to go without having to ask when you pick up. Cactus Blossom- Seasoned flower on the onion tasted different with Cajun sauce and of course with a light base of oil at the bottom of the bowl. Bone-in Ribeye with loaded baked potato- Ribeye cooked med. rare with a little sea salt. I asked if I could chose my steak since they are on view. They said yes. I haven't done that before with as many times as I have been there, so I was super excited. I chose the third from the bottom bone in Ribeye cooked to the perfection. Loaded baked potato with bacon bits, butter, sour cream and cheese. Steak medallions- take a Sirloin cut it in 3 pieces to make medallions, but little less than the regular sirloin? I will never return to this location. The staff is extremely unfriendly, and definitely not concerned with customer service. I went in December, and they had to prepare my steak 3 times, and still could not get the temperature correct. Our server stopped serving us after the second time it was delivered incorrectly. The manager on duty tried to make it right by giving me a voucher for a future visit for dinner for two with a $30 limit each. I appreciated the sentiment, but was hesitant to return. Skip forward to today. I went back with my voucher and my friend and I each ordered a meal. My steak was overcooked again, and his was way undercooked. Disappointing, but seems to be standard with this location. I gave the server my voucher as soon as we sat down and she said she would take care of it. Well, the bill arrived and they only have me $30 in credit. I asked about it and was told the voucher is only for $30. I requested to see the voucher, as that is not how it was explained, or written, and conveniently, it has been thrown away. The manager tonight was rude and said he would not do anything about it. I love the food but the service is not what you pay for. On this most recent visit, the staff messed up the seating and sent us back to the front to wait. When they seated us, the area they put us in was trashed with rags and silverware and bits of food all over the floor. The waiter wasn't very helpful, he didn't know the full menu, and didn't check in very much. The visit before this, there were long strands of hair inside the biscuits that were served to my family's table. All of us had hair in our biscuits, it was disgusting. My wife and I had dinner at this location restaurant. We had a server named Hannah and she was fantastic. She made sure we were taking care of. My wife had a grill shrimp dinner and I had the ribeye steak and shrimp and both dinners were delicious and steak cooked to perfection medium rare. I read some bad reviews on this location on service and their foods and was a little skeptical about coming here. I glad we came and enjoyed the service and food. Our server was really great and friendly. She had a nice sense of humor. She quickly got our drinks. Took our order and kept refilling the bread hahaha wife was happy. We got an appetizer. My wife ordered the full rack of ribs and I got the porterhouse steak. The food came out in a timely manner. It's was the right temperature and cooked as ordered. Went for my birthday last night with my boyfriend and his daughter. We finally sat down, it was packed in there but we used waitlist on Google and only had to wait a few minutes. I ordered a cocktail with an extra floater shot and fried pickles right away, the drink came fairly quickly and I gave my boyfriend the shot that comes in a little tube since he hadn't ordered a drink yet and loves tequila. Our server comes back over and I order just 2 regular shots of reposado tequila for my bf and I, it's my birthday and his daughter was being a little difficult so we wanted to take the edge off. A few mins later our waitress came back again and told me they have a 2.5 drink MAXIMUM and the bartender said I could not have the shots. I was confused... I've been to other locations and this has never happened to me and I had only ordered one drink with a floater. I'm assuming she thought they were all for me, but didn't ask and I'm wondering if this is where the miscommunication came in. She returned and I explained I just wanted a regular shot in a glass and that my bf had the floater from My drink. she said 'I didn't see anything', and brought them to us??? Why tell me I can't have them and then bring them... now I'm afraid to order any more drinks while I'm there... on my birthday. By this time the wrong appetizer came to our table but we also had ordered our entrees and salads. Our salads came first, and we had to remind our server about the fried pickles we ordered for our appetizer, far before we ordered our salads... Your mushrooms are super salty and I ordered them on the side, but when our food came my steak was smothered with them. I scraped them off and we just ate the rest of our meal, not ones to say anything, it was busy and the food also took a long time. I begrudgingly ordered a corona after my boyfriend had with no problem. I asked her if it was OK since there was a 'drink maximum', and was brought it with no hesitation, thankfully. I just wanted to enjoy some super salty food and a few drinks to celebrate my birthday, but the experience was tainted by this point. My wife and I always enjoy takeout at the S Gilbert Rd. location. The food is tasty and consistent. We usually order the sirloin and a sweet potato and have never been disappointed. While we prefer local mom and pop locations, it can be difficult to find an affordable reliable steak. TXRH delivers. We choose takeout over dining-in because it can be difficult to park and the wait can be lengthy (25-40 minutes) on weekends. However, that is a testament to the popularity and quality. When we've eaten in, our experience is not what we prefer. It can be loud, cramped, and service is lackluster. However the takeout window executes the transaction flawlessly and the order is complete and what we hope for. read more

We returned to give the Roadhouse a new chance after a disappointing experience a few years ago. Was no better Then dinner rolls have shrunk to a fraction of their original size. And seemed a little dense like they didn't rise as planned. Two in our party had the fried catfish and reported that the plate was really good. Fried well and not greasy. I had the chicken fried steak and although edible was tough and the gravy pasty. Another had the pork chop which arrived stone cold.
