Salmon Sandwich
David W.

Palo Verde restaurant has a good staff and great view if you know somebody who is a resident. They have a number of different specials such as bbq, pizza, and lobster night that are a particularly good deal. We recently went for dinner and brought my young son who really enjoyed the make your own pizza. I had the salmon sandwich and my wife had the ribeye which she really enjoyed. They had a great drink menu too and awesome views. Food was pretty good along with the service, but the views and menu variety were great.

My first choice for dinner when I want to impress visiting friends or celebrate a happy occasion. A table on the patio overlooking the golf course is the most comfortable place I can think of when it comes to restaurant dining.

Food and service were excellent. Prices were fair. Nice atmosphere. Large outside area for seating with pool and golf course view.

The staff at the front door were super friendly, and the manager, Mike, came over to welcome us and walk us through the drinks, appetizers, and entrées. We sat at the bar, where Travis took great care of us. He explained the specials, made us a couple of mocktails, and helped us get an appetizer ordered. We really enjoyed listening to the music while waiting for our food. I had the steak and rice, and my girlfriend had the salmon risotto. We enjoyed both, and the chef even came out to check on us and ask how everything tasted. The entire staff was amazing. It's refreshing to visit a restaurant where genuine hospitality is clearly a priority, and that reflects great management. We'll definitely be back!

We went in for my birthday dinner and after waiting several minutes before being greeted and walked to a table in the far corner (which would normally not matter, except there were a lot of empty tables available). We looked over the menu and decided to share a couple appetizers and enjoy a drink. The wait for our server (the same guy who greeted and sat us) was Longer than we felt it should've been (because it's pretty empty) and from that time on it was a lot of waiting ... once our food came (the server dropped our mustard that goes with the pretzels, and said she'd be back... 2 min later I saw her delivering food to another table- I grabbed us some silverware from behind us and we started eating- the food tasted excellent but still no mustard or plates for our appetizers, luckily our server was there and asked how everything was, we told him about the mustard mishap and that after tasting the beer cheese asked if instead of the mustard he could just get us another cheese he said he would (more waiting, but it did arrive) we finished our meal and waited - my husband finally said; what happened to our waiter? Do you see him anywhere? No where for a couple minutes then I found him, behind the bar talking with the bartender, then at the bar register talking to a waitress (6 min later he finally started looking around- but NOT in our direction - ugh) we had been waiting 14 min total before he finally looked in our direction and we waved him over to our table to ask for our bill and a to go box. On our bill he charged us for the extra cheese we asked for as a substitute for the mustard that was dropped- WTF!? The food was good, but unfortunately the service was so bad we will never go back.

He was running everywhere and serving all the tables. Coffee and water was immediate. I ordered a Rib eye hash breakfast and crispy hash browns. Hubby ordered the Country Benedict - he loved his breakfast as much as I did. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and still tender inside. Some places can't handle good hashbrowns. My Ribeye hash was great. The coffee creamer is in a bucket on the table, with half and half, hazelnut and French vanilla creamer to choose from. Coffee is served with a thermos carafe and plentiful. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in lunch for me breakfast for the hubby. Husband enjoyed his breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Although it did seem sort of a small order. I decided to try a hamburger for lunch. The onion rings were really, really good! I didn't take a great shot of this but the burger I ordered medium well and it was completely charcoal black and hard on one side. I ended up eating only 1/4 of the burger and a few of the onion rings. It wasn't terrible, but the burger really wasn't very good. I should've probably looked at it and sent it back, but I hate sending food back. What kind of bothers me is the server looked directly at my plate that I had pushed to the edge of the table for pick up. Saw I didn't eat but a quarter of the burger and still had quite a fewof the onion rings left and didn't ask how I liked it. Clearly he noticed the plate but yet doesn't ask if I wanted to go box or if I liked it. I guess I sort of expect anywhere I eat that they'll come by and ask if I need anything else or if I enjoyed it or not. I wasn't going to ask for my money back, but I still would've liked to have been asked when I hadn't eaten 80% of the meal if everything was OK. I'll give it another try but I probably won't be having a burger.

Instead, we were offered a table in the back outside while everyone else was seated inside. As a Black family, the experience left us feeling unwelcome. I can't say why we were treated this way, but the interaction was extremely disappointing, we chose to dine elsewhere. Update: After my original review, the restaurant reached out to apologize for our experience. We decided to give them another chance, and I'm glad we did. Our return visit was completely different. The service was excellent, and we had the pleasure of meeting the Ashley Cook, General Manager and the owner. They made us feel genuinely welcome. I appreciate that they took our feedback seriously and worked to make things right. Our server Tyler was exceptional.

The Brickyard Downtown still features the original exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and tin tile ceilings that date back over a century. Talk about sitting in history. This place has tasty food and amazing sips. My friend and I recently popped in here for Ladies Night. We only had sips this time around as our other friend wanted to meet up for cocktails too but I couldn't change our reservations so we had to leave shortly after. I had their Hera (Bayab Rose | Elicser | Grapefruit | Lime | Orgeat | Egg White | Rose Water), $17: It was a delightfully balanced drink with a perfect egg white froth on top. Great sips. Coming back, I was reminded why the first time coming here left me with a great impression. It's still a cozy spot though so I wouldn't recommend coming here with a large party.
