George and Gather has been high on my list to check out, since opening one year ago! I've heard…read morenothing but positive things about this place and now I understand why! There is a parking lot and indoor/outdoor seating. I love the decor and ambiance of this place, especially the lighting in the dining room. They have a separate area with a small shop and cafe with desserts and some grab and go items. I will be back to try a coffee! My friend and I came here for the pre-set restaurant week menu. I made a reservation the night before, but it wasn't too busy while we were there on a Tuesday at 530pm. Our server Allison was great and very attentive. For appetizers we tried the whipped goat cheese spread and wagyu meatballs. I thought the goat cheese spread was delicious! For entrees we choose the pasta pomodoro and the farmers market pizza which were both very tasty. The pizza had so much flavor l, especially the crust, and the texture of the pasta was perfect!! For dessert we tried the affogato and apricot cheesecake. Oh My Gosh that cheesecake was the BEST dessert I've had in a while!!!! You have to try it and I can't recommend it enough!!!! I can't wait to come back!!

After our visit I promptly removed this place from my bookmarks…read more Disappointing from the moment I spoke with the hostess. We had been put on a wait list shortly before I arrived. When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again.

I haven't left a review in quite some time, but this place is so delicious that I had to! I've been…read moretwice and both times were just as good. I ordered the Jammin Tacos with bacon and they did not disappoint. I don't ever order breakfast tacos, but the cashier recommended them and I'm glad she did. So filling and tasty! I'm also a huge fan of pickled onions and they came as a little side with the tacos and I devoured them. I also got the Cold Purple Haze (lavender latte) and that too was great! The service and vibe here was just as wonderful. I will be returning to try out more of their menu.

This is a counter service style location, so you order and take a number to be delivered to your table. Not always my favorite, but the staff was very friendly for patrons who didn't realize you needed to grab utensils at the station with condiments as well. What we ordered: - NY Chopped Cheese Sammie: my boyfriend loved this as it's a bodega classic he's familiar with. Very onion forward, so I personally wouldn't order. - Benny and the Jets: overall, this was pretty good. Though, the potatoes lacked seasoning and wish they had been flavored more. The rosemary herb focaccia bread was delicious and I did enjoy their hollandaise sauce. - Bucket of Mimosa: love that you get a bottle in a bucket with ice with a carafe of juice. Perfect for sharing with a brunch out with friends, family, and loved ones. - The GOAT: my friend who I was meeting for hair loved this and said we definitely need to stop back in when we get our hair done again in May. - S'mores: This cold brew was amazing! Love love love the marshmallow and definitely would order again, though may ask for half sweet if they can do that. Gotta shout out Gonzo sauce, and definitely be on the look out to where I can purchase. May need to see if they sell retail bottles here, as loved the haberno one! We really enjoyed the decor, atmosphere, service, food, and even the cold brews to go for my hair appointment. I'll definitely return for both food and cold brew when in the area!

Stopped in lunch for me breakfast for the hubby. Husband enjoyed his breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Although it did seem sort of a small order. I decided to try a hamburger for lunch. The onion rings were really, really good! I didn't take a great shot of this but the burger I ordered medium well and it was completely charcoal black and hard on one side. I ended up eating only 1/4 of the burger and a few of the onion rings. It wasn't terrible, but the burger really wasn't very good. I should've probably looked at it and sent it back, but I hate sending food back. What kind of bothers me is the server looked directly at my plate that I had pushed to the edge of the table for pick up. Saw I didn't eat but a quarter of the burger and still had quite a fewof the onion rings left and didn't ask how I liked it. Clearly he noticed the plate but yet doesn't ask if I wanted to go box or if I liked it. I guess I sort of expect anywhere I eat that they'll come by and ask if I need anything else or if I enjoyed it or not. I wasn't going to ask for my money back, but I still would've liked to have been asked when I hadn't eaten 80% of the meal if everything was OK. I'll give it another try but I probably won't be having a burger.

This review is long overdue…read more After drinks and bites at The Living Room on Saturday, May 6, 2017, Rachel took Allen, David and me to THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN for more alcoholic beverages. Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!
