When I bought my new home, it came with a rounded-top front window that was clearly visible from the street and a major factor in the curb appeal. We ordered window treatments for our entire house - brand new build. Melissa was super patient, came out multiple times for me to look at fabrics, options, etc. We started out wanting shutters on the lower floor and roller shades upstairs. We ended up with something much different which meant Melissa worked through a bunch of options and quotes for us. Once everything was installed, we noticed the first night the blackout shades in our master were not the right color. She came over and walked in and said, "that's not the right fabric..." and right away put in the correct order for us. So you get great stuff and the prices are comparable, sure. Window treatments are window treatments; they aren't falling apart, they look good, and I'm happy with them. What earns her 5 stars and what I have sincerely appreciated about Melissa is her communication. She is so flexible. She understands my schedule for work and accommodates it. She follows up when I've not gotten back with her or when the delivery and install was taking longer than 2 weeks. Every step of the way I haven't felt like I needed to manage her to get the work done. We ordered window treatments for our whole house. Melissa came out several times so I could look at fabrics and determine which shades I liked best. She sends you a writeup of the exact cost so you know exactly what you are getting and paying. She is unbelievably patient and excellent about following up when you have questions etc. Once my shades were installed, she came out many times after to fix a few issues and was not content until everything was perfect. I had used Texas Direct to install faux wood blinds for a rental home in Austin and had a great experience, so when we purchased a new home in Houston I had them come see me about plantation shutters. Melissa came to my home and was great about explaining all of the different shutter options showing me both samples as well photos to help me with my choices.
