Haven't had food here in a while since the neighborhood has a lot more Japanese spots these days, but I ordered lunch here recently, and it's still a solid spot. I got the salmon lunch bento. It came with a California roll, two shu mais, half an orange, salad/miso soup, rice, and the salmon. It's the typical stuff that comes with a bento but the orange was a surprise. It was even cut nicely to make it convenient to eat! I've been a little worried about the sodium level when I eat out cause everything just tastes so salty these days, but the food here was nicely seasoned and well balanced. I would try to make an effort to eat here more often!

Ordered lunch with coworkers from this place though I have been there for dinner a few times and it is always fun and the food is good and they do not disappoint. Lunch was really nice. I had got a bento box with chicken teriyaki shumai and a California roll. Food was fresh and very good and very prompt delivery.

The sushi is fresh and the happy hour is bomb, two drinks and you're feeling it, a third and you'll forget you got sushi to begin with LOL. It's quiet on a 4pm , hopefully everyone doesn't flock here after this.

I went here years ago and it was my no. 1 sushi place to go. I like the atmosphere and I like that they have rooms for privacy, good service. I went back again, it disappointed me. the sushi quality is very unsatisfied. Fish is not fresh, sushi rice tastes like overnight rice (very hard). Also, a worker there keeps opening our door without knotting on the door and keeps telling us to hurry up to finish the sushi. I still like the atmosphere and the woman who served was nice and friendly. But will not go back again.

Shrimp Tempura & Brooklyn Roll

I went here for lunch with my partner and ordered takeout. The interior was very spacious, and there's a 2nd floor. There is also a smaller, private room with sliding doors & you sit on the floor. They also have a bar. We ordered the eel avocado, salmon, and shrimp tempura rolls, were yummy. The Brooklyn roll, on the other hand, stood out for being much larger than the regular rolls. However, the Brooklyn roll wasn't that good even though it had plenty of filling. We also tried the takoyaki, which was delicious and tasted even better than the rolls. Next time, we will dine in.

$19 seafood udon noodles: huge portions but so bland and tasteless

The atmosphere is casual. Good for large parties or low-key dates. Prices are not cheap. Food quality is very poor. Service was nonexistent on a Monday night. Our orders were messed up. We waited for hours for our food. Utensils were not brought out. Our dirty dishes remained on the table for the duration of the night. The limited staff did the best they could but our experience was awful nonetheless. Miso soup tasted off. Chicken fried rice was mostly rice, barely any chicken. $19 seafood udon noodles and $17 chicken udon noodles were the worst dishes on the menu. So bland and tasteless. We couldn't eat. Frozen chicken and seafood mix. Barely any protein per noodle ratio. Skip. Rolls were meh. Poorly executed. Green tea fried ice cream was probably the best thing we tried, which is a shame. Do not recommend. Will not be back.

I got the sushi and sashimi for two. I came in during lunch and it wasn't that busy yet. The restaurant is somewhat clean and spacious. They have some rooms for small groups with the sliding doors. They do have a credit card charge to your bill if you pay credit card though.

Made a reservation for a room for 14 ppl a few days ahead but when i got there they said there was no reservation. They still gave us a room since it was around 5:30pm and not alot of people. Then after getting seated we made our order the waitress told us our order was coming. But then they told us they made the wrong order and gave to the other room (we were seated first and ordered first), we ordered 2 sushi and sashimi deluxe for 3 So we had to wait longer. From ordering to getting the sushi and sashimi serve it took approx 1-1.5hrs. We had other food served before thst but after we finish the other food the order still wasnt served. Pretty disappointing. Not to mention the sushi and sashimi wasn't even that good. For the price it could have been better.

California dinner with miso; spicy tuna hand roll no tempura; home condiments

I am happy to say that we visited Tenzan today and found the items to be fresh and flavorful. The California roll is still being made without roe, but I am okay with that because their avocado is the same legendary liquicado that we've come to expect. The Miso was well made. The gyoza were properly cooked and smelled great. The spicy tuna hand roll used tuna that wasn't old, which is one of the great sushi downfalls. Everything was fresh, no complaints. I am glad to see they have adjusted to their new restrictions and are making great food within the new financial parameters.

The fish was very fresh and good quality. We tried the fried purple yams, fried chicken, stir fried udon, yakisoba, and a variety of sushi platters. I would highly recommend the Tokyo Don which was a variety of fish and seafood on a bed of rice. The Salmon Lover's was also excellent, and slices of fish were nice and thick. Service: Service was wonderful! Our waiter was attentive and came back to check on us throughout the meal. There's a button to press when you need service, and our waiter was always quick to come after we pressed it. Ambiance: The restaurant is a good size with tables sectioned off into small "rooms". There are two private rooms downstairs that fit about 6-7 people each. The rooms are adjoining and good for large groups. Seating downstairs is the Japanese-style tables where you put your legs into a pit under the table. Decor and ambiance is very nice, and seating is comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant!

It was an absolute lifesaver that kept the girls happily entertained. And the food was absolutely worth savoring. We kicked things off with a round of handrolls--salmon avocado, spicy salmon, and yellowtail--which were perfectly crisp and packed with fresh fish. I went all in on the Salmon Lovers set, and it was an absolute dream. It came with a massive, beautiful spread of salmon sushi, seven thick pieces of melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, a salmon avocado roll, a bright kani salad, and a really savory piece of grilled salmon. We also shared the Ysukiji sushi platter, which featured a gorgeous, high-quality assortment of cuts, while the Smoked Chicken bento box was a huge hit, offering fantastic cooked flavors and generous portions. The room we were in mimicked a traditional Japanese room where everyone had to sit on the floor and put their legs under the table. It was fun for the younger people but it was difficult for the elders to sit down and get back up. Between the incredibly fresh sushi and the warm hospitality that kept the whole family smiling the entire time, this spot easily earned five stars. We can't wait to come back!

And when we got inside I was telling my wife that we entered the wrong place, but one of the wait staff came over and said "no this is Koko as well. we've joined together." it wasn't until a couple weeks later then I was watching the news and I learned that this was a bit of a survival tactic being utilized by restaurants in the city to try and stay afloat. Honestly it makes sense to me. It's been quite some time since I've gotten to go out in the city. Honestly it's been quite some time since I've been in the city at all, so it was nice to go somewhere even under the circumstances. Coincidentally when my wife and I lived in ditmas Park we always wanted to go to this ramen place but we never got around to it. Funny how it works out that 2 years after you move to Spain you end up going to the places that you never got to go to in New York. Because it was a bit of a special occasion we decided to get a bottle of wine. Red of course. I can't remember which wine we picked because my mom was the one who selected it, but it was excellent. We started with a couple of appetizers: gyozas and okonomiyaki, which is a Japanese pancake. The gyozas were fine, pork dumplings with soy sauce to dip. The Japanese pancake was great. My mom isn't the biggest "foodie" but she really enjoyed it. For the main course me and my wife went with the tonkotsu ramen (obviously) and my mom got the Tori Shio (chicken broth) ramen. She doesn't do pork. The bowls are a good size and like most ramen places, they do the trick to fill you up. The tonkotsu was very solid. It's been quite some time since I've had some real ramen: it's a bit hard to find in the part of Spain that we live. My mom really liked hers as well but apparently filled up on japanese pancake do had to take the rest of it home. No biggie. They boxed it up with no problem. Now that places are going to open to 50% maybe there will be more chances to go out and try to enjoy things again. I'm glad I finally got to try this place out. Better later then never!

The amount of noodles is decent and the toppings are pretty good the egg actually come with both half's rather than one like some places so that's good, my only gripe is that the cha siu isn't heated through after being served which tells me that they didn't torch it for long enough before serving. That usually also makes it less tender as the middle is still a little coagulated from being chilled prior. I would also assume that chicken broth is less calorie dense than pork so I also felt less guilty drinking it all. The staff is friendly and quick enough with the service and they also have rotation test menu items which is nice but there's a few items on their regular menu they are always out of like their oyster pancake

Overall quite disappointing experience. It does not help that for such a modern looking decent sized establishment, it is forcibly CASH ONLY payment even with an ATM in the restaurant which is very odd

Dipping their toes in so many different arenas might actually be their detriment because they're going for everything while not excelling in most. I would rather they cut down on some dishes and make sure all are great instead. I absolutely love their Thai fried chicken, which is so affordable (8 pieces for $12), and tastes so crispy on the outside but so moist and flavorful on the inside. It comes with a tangy fish sauce, but you can add different green curry and/or red curry for 50 cents each. I like it best with the fish sauce. However, that's the Thai fried chicken is the only dish I absolutely love from this place. Everything else is very mediocre, which is unfortunate. 6 rolls bento - $15; comes with california roll, spicy tuna roll, lobster salad roll, salmon avocado roll, eel cucumber roll, shrimp tempura, kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken. It's a lot of food for $15, and the sushi actually tastes decent. The kani salad, seaweed salad, and fried chicken are just tiny portions, but the fried chicken are like nuggets and taste really bad. 4/5 Mushroom noodles - $10; It's so rare to find such affordable e-fu noodles but sadly, it tastes nothing like what e-fu noodles should taste like. I wouldn't even know that they're supposed to be e-fu noodles if I just blindly tasted. I would not get this again here. 3/5 Pad see ew beef - $13; Again, like the mushroom noodles, it didn't taste like pad see ew. It's missing that sweetness and charred factor that's usually present in pad see ew. 3/5 Pad Kra Pao (??) - I can't remember if it's this dish that I got, but it was some type of Thai rice dish with a meat sauce. It was so terrible, I only ate 10% of it and didn't take it to go. 1/5 Pad thai - I didn't try it but my friend got it and the color looked really off. Aside from the food, there are other improvements to be made here. It seems like a family-run restaurant, with only two workers facing the customers. It's really hard to get their attention when the restaurant is busy. The space is very tight and looks like it could be more well-maintained. They also need more menus. Hard to share just one with the whole table.

We ordered the crunchy cabbage, marinated cucumber, crispy garlic potatoes, mushroom Tempera, a variety of skewers including the washugyu & shishito and scallop bacon and pumpkin (you can choose fried or grilled, I chose grilled styled) and the champon noodle bowl. The food comes out very fast. The cucumber was alright though I was not a fan of the WakuWaku sauce overly sweet. The cabbage was delicious but lacked flavor. Huge portion though. Then came out the skewers. The pumpkin was cold. I wasn't a fan of the washugyu & shishito one. And the scallop bacon was just eh, didn't really notice the bacon on it. Everything tempera one were my favorite. I loved the potato tempera it was perfectly fried. Esp. with the spicy miso sauce, it was fire, I was dipping everything in it. And the mushroom was even better. Enoki mushroom was delicious. Careful with the chicken karaage it comes out HOT. Massive pieces so good and juicy. Great portion. The noodle bowl is bigger than your head so I advise to only get one if you're sharing portions. I like the flavor of the soup, very soothing. Good collagen boost too! Lots of seafood in it. Perfect soup for a cold rainy day like we experienced. Theres miso cod was good but have had better. Honestly everything was good.
